I've LG Optimus Black and now its condition is dead. The problem are usb port not connect to the computer. But charging port got no problem. I've bought that device to Service Center LG and technician said he can fix it and replace the motherboard. But it will get more cost to me. Anyone have idea how to fix it? Thanks

Find the thread "How to disassemble Optimus Black".
More devices failure, seems this part of the board is weak.
Monitor your temperature, a statusbar temp monitor. If you'll see the battery there's a warning of it not exceeding in 40°C.
Anything higher will take a toll on parts and battery in due time.
Avoid OCing (ICS/JB) for now as LG's kernel is in shambles in terms of voltage/Power Management.

It's more than that as OP said service center wants to replace the board. So it's a hardware failure.

Just had my phone sent to the LG service center last week because it bootloops everytime it is removed from usb port. Started awhile back with random restarts then suddenly phone turns off everytime someone calls and finally only usable if connected to usb.
had it repaired and the service center replaced the motherboard + battery. They told me it was a result of either flactuating or overcharging, but I havent one of those. Could it be because of my different usb cord? I use a nokia mini usb cord because the original LG cord got lost.
Now i'm afraid to use it until I buy a new usb cord.

Im using the one that came with my optimus and I have the same issues. Its rated 150W ( Speaking from memory ) but when charging it through Computer USB ( 75W ) its fine.
As your battery doesn't get to hot I can't see how it can affect your phone. I'm not a a guru on this so I might be wrong.

I have the same issues too! When I charge my OB the touch goes crazy :| and when I try to write a SMS for example, it writes letters by itself for a couple of minutes. Why it is happening this? Why is the phone acting weird? :|
I am using the stock charger that came in the box with it and the cable is the original one.

You're sooo rich, XD
Anywaays, i figured it won't happen again so i bought a new usb cord, Hytac USB 2.0 to be exact... i'm not sure if it really works, but so far so good. It says in the box that it supports data transfer AND charge soooo. it's okay then?
The head office of LG also told the service center said that it could have been the result of charging while the phone has a case on (i usually had a rubberized case on it)

Ebay has them. It wont let me post links yet, but just search EB41. It says they ship worldwide.

Hi guys,
My mobile fell in the ground somedays back and power button was not working from that day..So I went to LG service centre today, that guy told we cant fix this as some chip came out and told me to replace the motherboard. He told it will cost around Rs2,500(46.45$).When I asked him motherboard will cost faround Rs10000(185.8$) he told there is some discount for the motherboard. Can anyone confirm here whoever got a motherboard recently.
Thanks
First make confirm whether it is CHIP or MOTHERBOARD problem.
If it is CHIP prob, then go for to buy it.
If it is motherboard prob, waste to buy for with that much amount.
(Recently (my previous phone LG P500) got MOTHERBOARD changed, it cost 3,000)
But it seem 10000 is very high for LG optimus black, think once again.
It is better to you to buy LG Nexus 4 instead spending 10,000 on this motherboard (note that Nexus has no external memory)
I got quoted $280.50 AUD for my motherboard two weeks ago for to replace my motherboard for the crack as shown in my signature.

LGE replace the motherboard in some countries even if the phone is not in warranty anymore because they know that some series of P970 have the faulty motherboard.that's the whole "magic".
160eur for me when i bricked mine last year.
There were some tomorrow tutorials about recovering IMEI, search for them.
LG Optimus One P500 not detecting any network
Hi friends!
My LG P500 suddenly developed a problem that it does not register to any network and keeps showing a sim icon with a red exclamation sign on the notification bar. It is not taking any sim card. I showed it at local repair shops and all who checked it said that it is incorrigible.
I showed it at LG care. They have said that they would charge INR 2500 and take the older motherboard along with it. They are giving 3-month warranty.
Can anyone suggest what I should do or if there is a way to get it mended?
Hello, So my ace died out of nowhere, I tried to plug it but it still wouldn't turn on, I bought a new battery thinking that may be the problem but no
Any kind soul that would like to help me?

Errr... Can you give us more details? For example, what rom you was using, have you Overlocked your processor, because that may caused the hardware damage to motherboard etc.

I'm from a different phone section, but I have some experiences regarding battery.
It can be your charging port. Have you tried external charger?
Those chargers that you charge battery without the phone. Those are more powerful.
Some battery tends to die out of the sudden, and those chargers have more powerful boost to revive your battery.
Try it out. If that's the problem, send your Ace to SSC if its under warranty, if it isn't send to a repair shop.
did you tried to replace the battery?!
Guys, any help?

Place it under the back cover. Beside the camera and under usb port. Make sure it puts pressure, but dont put too thick paper. Try unscrewing and check the disassembling thread.
