[Q] 213DPI and/or Tablet mode workable? - Xperia Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Why hallo thare dear XZ owners!
WOnderfull to see some early XDA development for the XZ
Im used to my old GNote with 213DPI in Tablet mode and I must say, it feels hard to getting used to using Android in "regular phone mode" ... IMO Android is not worth using in that mode, Playstore, settings and much apps just get so dumbified without Tablet mode :/
I just got my XZ and searched for this and it seems it just got rooted but it seems it doesnt work to get it to tablet mode, or am I missing something?
Thanx in advance for helping peeps

Check out Temaseks Cm7 builds. Never had issues with them. Or you could try out CM10. Using it currently and I love it.

No more brightness control after repair

Hello everyone,
I sent my O2x to LG for being repaired and they changed its "logical board" so that it's actually a new phone with the old Gingerbread LG system.
Since I'm going to let my sister use it, I wanted to leave stock firmware that is a bit less hard to manage than CyanogenMod (for her, she's at her first droid, but the tempation to give CM10 a go is way too strong to resist, I'm afraid), but I unexpectedly found out that there isn't any brightness control or screen timeout, they are just unabled.
Before sending it to the assistance, I noticed that only with CyanogenMod firmwares I got that control and it was working, but now I'm afraid is a LG thing, since even with a new phone this setting is unabled.
Any advices on how to enable it?
Thanks for help

Sky go

2 questions
When will this be available, is it after the next upgraded rom from Sony? As I'm not sure how it works with android. Is it per android version or is it device specific?
Also will it not work based on rooting or will it work with the new locked bootloader exploit, as with that you get to keep your drm keys?
Apologies for probably stupid questions, just coming back from a 3 year break from the the dark side.... iPhone 4 & 4S
It will be when Sky Make it work, if the past is anything to go by when Sony Update to 4.2 it will stop working again!

the JB 4.2 for sony gonna come in late march. maybe 10 days later
it will change kernel and OS so firmware. it will be major update
Last time Sky added a bunch of Devices together when they updated the App so it might be they wait and Add the HTC One and the Galaxy S4. As long as we are 4.2 by then there will be no interruptions.

And will rooting the phone stop sky go working, if I use the locked boot loader method? Or could I just use custom toms with it?
Just skygo didn't work on jail broken devices, was a right pain to get it working in the end! As apple insisted on preventative measures against jail token phones Are sky just as bad on a android?
Yes... Worse the detect rooted unlocked devices in several ways... There was no way to get it working on my note 2 without having stock firmware and kernal
As we do on the z we my be able to use one of the temporary unroot methods
But won't know until sky works in the first place

Well if it wasn't for you posting it here I would have never known it had been released!
It's working for me (non rooted) although I have to adjust the brightness each time I go into a program that is showing as it's very dark to start with...

Im glad ive been of some use once
Aslong as it works, i guess the brightness is a pain but atleast its working.
Now the most important question of all.... does it work on a rooted device
Nope- cant get it to work with my rooted z
Was waiting patiently for it to be upgraded to work, finally gave up and decided to root and Sky released the update the next day!!!

hi there, for me ..basically if theres a hardware problem I'm bringing it to repair center. then i will just fix the software. (of course with the help of google and xda)., that was unless you are knowledgeable in some sort of soldering or in general hardware troubleshooting.

Yeahh , I thought I would post fot other peoples benefits!

[Q] Verison Samsung Galaxy Tab SCHI800BKV

Ok. First off I'm new here so be nice.. lol had to get that out of the way.
First off I'm out of my wits end.. I have been searching the internet for 2 days for information as to how to get this tablet up and running and as great as the info I have found, it's in pieces and I seem to be at the end of my rope so to say. I have downed so many thing thinking it's what I need I don't know what to use or not.
A friend of mine messed up his Tablet BAD and said if I can get it running it's mine, he is not good with fixing computers and such.
I'm able to get into the download screen (power - down vol ) recovery (power- up vol) When I turn it on it loops the Verizon wireless screen. Also the SD card is computer formatted as I thought that is how I was to do it, ugh,. There is no steps as to how or where to get it to the way it was. If I try to recover it gives me a ton of errors for cache and that it can't find files. I have Odin but can't see the tablet with it, heimdall-suite-1.3.2 helped me to get to the meat of the tablet. SuperOneClickv2.3.3-ShortFuse but have not used it as I'm not sure how. I'm told that it needs to be FLASHED with the OS I guess. So what OS do I use, there are so many out there. And how do I do it? Would like to get the SD card back to normal too.
Thanks for reading and helping.. o' the version is 11.08 that I see no one has mentioned or does that matter. Am I In the right area? OR is it a Tab 2? or 7.7. or something else.. ugh
