[Q] locked bootloader trying to flash a rom - Xperia Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
I have c6603 with locked bootloader model I have rooted my device using DooMLoRD method, the device has rooted successfully as I checked it by flashtool and the superuser. after that I installed TWRP 2.4.3.0 app for recovery mode so I can flash custom roms I tried flashing xperia z revolution rom several times but everytime I flash the rom and reboot the device stuck at xperia logo " the one come after the sony logo" and then the device would restart and again stucking at xperia logo and restarting until I shutdown the device and flash generic firmware using flashtool, forgive my newbieness as this is my first sony device and thanks in advance for your help.

Anyone? any help will be appreciated?

I've tried the same about 20 mins ago...also got stucked with the bootloop...ill give it another try now

I had this issue, I tried the turdzz rom and that works perfectly, I also flashed black line theme and that works great too.
Some of the roms seem to cause bootloops on Locked BL?!!! CWM sent me into a loop has to flash stock to get it back?!?!

In fact I think revolution comes with CWM in the rom. That could be the issue, I dint think it's stable yet???

Still gut the issue after a bunch of flashes...unfortunately krabappel's isnt working ill try another rom

thanks guys for replaying, I flashed turdzz and finally it works and FYI I tried flashing romaur and the same problem occur so I think Iam gunna stick with turdzz for now

by the way guys do you think its possible in near future that someone discover a way to unlock bootloader for those with permanently locked bootloader (unlock bootloader allowed:no )

HTC ROM install issues (Noob Alert)

I followed the steps here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1498003 and I unlocked the phone I installed this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1631499 I then noticed that I messed up b/c the phone kept getting stuck at the "HTC" screen it wont even get to the boot screen. Afterwards I followed the steps here (except the S-off):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1416836
Then I did a full wipe and flashed the virtuous rom again and still the same results. I know I definitely messed up. I've spent a few hours reading and researching but due to my lack of experience I cannot figure out 1)how to reverse my problem and 2)how to fix it if possible. I am still able to get to CWM Recovery. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you
Did you extract the boot.IMG from the ROM and flash it via fastboot?

The Most caused reason why your vivid is stuck on the white screen is because you flashed a wrong kernel or no kernel at all with the right rom
You need to relock bootloader Run the stock ruu unlock bootloader flash recovery then a kernel then go into recovery and flash the rom with an sd card

Update to ICS

Hello.
I have recently downgraded to Gingerbread 2.3.6, to unlock my phone because of a prevoius incident that required me to insert a Network Unlock Code.
I had to pay $50 to get it unlocked. It should be permanent, right?
Nope.
After my downgrade to gingerbread i updated it via OTA, which locked my phone again.
I would really like to upgrade to ICS any suggestions on how to do that? While keeping my unlocked status.

I have used the galaxy s unlock in gingerbread and i want to uograde to ics. But when i updated via an ota it relocked.

Yes. Use it again on ics. Or the other app I mentioned. One works . If the phone is locked, use it. If it's unlocked and you want to take chances, go ahead.

I updated via Mobile Odin with Evaroot as well. It worked fine and i also installed the galaxysim unlock and it worked!
After updating to ICS i got another little update but when i install it reboots into recovery i think and shows the little android with the spinny cog. Then it suddnly reboots and says update has failed. Try the PC software (Kies).
Any suggestions?

If you are rooted and have a different kernel ota will not work
OMG $50 ?so u should request for update as well.
if later flash again still lock that's is ur luck.
now u can flash it via Mobile odin or using kies to update that's all.

find out ur version n install safe kernal from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1901191

[Q] Device bricked - Not booting after attempt at downgrading

After upgrading to 4.4 beanstalk tried to downgrade by installing FTF of 4.3 ROM. Ever since all I can do is get into FlashMode and FastBoot (using Flashtool), and am able to install FTFs and fastboot boot.img, but the device never turns on (and doesn't vibrate when I press the power button). Tried unlocking, re-locking, running Sony's Update (but it says the software is incompatible so it won't upgrade), different FTFs and BOOT.IMGs.
All I want is to get back to a locked, official ROM.
Help!

Yeah - battery is charged (to the best of my knowledge) - connected all day to the USB.
Have you tried Sony's flashtools?
Sent from my C6603 using xda app-developers app
Try to flash the latest firmware using flashtool
which flashtool are you using?
Flashtools state that the version of the software can't be upgraded (it was a custom KitKat rom). Also tried the most up-to-date flashtool that I could find (0.9.13.0).
Is the downgrade from 4.4 even possible? Is there an order in which I should be installing using FlashTool?

If you tried stock ftf, and you did and screen is not working and it's not even working in recovery...well...That's probably hardware problem...
so you should try to relock bootloader, flash stock ftf and try to claim your warranty rights..

It's basically "flash", not "root" Cyanogenmod ROM. Cyanogenmod is already rooted.
If you really wish to do so, go to this link for an in-depth guide.
