NOW I SEE THAT ANDROID OS HAS TAKEN MOST OF THE BATTERY .. Please check the screenshots and advice me on the same ! My phone is up for almost 17hours now and has 47% battery left...

The phone has deep sleep problems. Use betterbatterystats to check what wake lock is it.

Why has my battery been dieing so fast lately??

Ever since I installed Cyanogen 5.03 Test 3 and that Hotfix my phone has been dieing without even using it within hours. It used to last the whole day with moderate use, but now it dies without even using it. It seems when I text the battery is fine, but when my phone goes into standby the battery drains really fast. I checked what is working the battery and here are the stats:
Cell Standby: 54%
Phone Idle: 42%
Display: 5%
Anyway to fix this??
ummm dide u nandroid before applying hotfix? if yes then nandroid backup. turn background data off, and turn bluetooth on. helps battery very much. im without the hotfix nd at 6 this morning 100%. and its 6 evening now and still at 89%!
So I should turn bluetooth on?
go to cyans wiki page and click on troubleshooting then scroll down to battery recalibration. i would post the link but i dont have it :\

try disabling the battery percentage meter in settings or was it spare parts. reboot your phone and the percentage meter will be gone. should help your battery out
I can't believe there's a thread for this.
See this thread, it may help:

Try Juicedefender or airplane mode?

No deep sleep

Hello,
I'm rooted lpy with Franco #3 kernel. Its not going into deep sleep. It was doing this with cf kernel as well. The fix with turning screen on and unlocking before unplugging from USB doesn't work. Only thing that works is a reset. Any other fix anyone has come across? I have frozen maps and the only thing causing significant wakelocks is wlan, which it does after reset.
Thanks.

Hi again,
possible fix is turning USB debugging off.
I'll report back if it works long term. I don't know if it was doing it on GB ROM because I didn't have cpuspy then. I did notice on occasion my battery would drain very fast though and a restart used to fix it.
Anyway, getting great battery life now. Don't know whether it's lpy or Franco kernel or gold battery? Losing about 1% per hour in deep sleep. My impression is that it lasts twice as long in heavy use.

Charged overnight (8 hours) and removed charger before turning on screen. Seems to be going into deep sleep now.

[Q] ParanoidAndroid v.03 huge battery drain

Hey guys, i just wanted to know if anyone is getting this issue. After installing paranoid android V.03 im having this huge battery drain. Almost 10% battery loss every 40 minutes even with Mobile Data and WiFi off. I should say i've flashed this rom over a stock gb. There is no modifications and the kernel used is the same that comes with that rom.
look for BetterBatteryStats and CPU Spy, download it. Check in CPU spy if ur phone is going into deep sleep, If not, put it in airplane mode, reboot and turn airplane mode off, if still not going in Deep Sleep, open BetterBatteryStats check the wakelocks and come back here.
First day on v0.3 I had the same problem. But it was really interesting when I figured out why the battery drain was so fast.
Look at your battery status if there is any drops like 3-5% which was happened immediately in a second. If yes your system is rebooting sometimes and that makes your battery drained. I had 1 or 2 reboots every hour on the first day.
If you didnt wipe dalvik cache and wipe cache after flashing the update may be that is the problem.
i did wipe the device. I have not notice any reboots . I'll fully charge it and check the battery life again. I've notice a fast battery drain even when i'm using it to text only. Like it's 80% one moment and when i look back at it it's like 78% Out of nowhere ( and as i said no data or WiFi).
Edit: almost forgot to mention. Just checked the cpu spy app and it does go into deep sleep(it shows an 8hour record in that state).

If you flash a rom with less than full battery it will take a few days/restarts/charging cycles for the battery stats to reconfigure correctly. This is the case with all roms, stock or otherwise.
If it persists after that, better battery stats should help identify what program is swallowing all the juice.
PS. I'm on same rom and kernel and have excellent battery life so it should resolve itself after a couple of charges.

Well.. i've been using it as always, and still feeling like it's going down too fast. When i flashed the rom , i did it with full battery. Anyways, i'll keep using it for a few days more and see if it changes. i've installed betterbattery stats and CPUspy as you guys recommended, so i'll keep an eye on it. Thanks for the replies, i'll let you know guys any changes :good:
+1
ihave this problem with this rom battery drain
WTF ??!!!

Sudden battery loss problem

Last week I thought I'd try [CWM]AllianceROM N7000 ICS v2.1 and it was lovely but I think I started things going wrong by flashing notecore 13 kernel cause after that the battery started going flat withing 12 to 16 hours. So I thought I would go back to faithful [ROM] Criskelo's ICS V11.2 << LRK 4.0.4 yesterday afternoon and flashed with the latest speedmod. Over night with no phone usage the battery went down 40 %
Any help or advice would be appreciated thanks
Looking for a solution to my note battery power drain

probably deep sleep issues,
get cpuspy to confirm. You can reset stats to measure timeframe from zero again.
then if percentage is low, get betterbatterystats to check what causes wakelock(not letting phone go or stay in deepsleep)
Here you can set custom reference to measure in same time period.
Check partial wakelocks, which ones run for approx same, or long time as the time outside deepsleep, minus the time you wake device yourself.
note dont wake every 5 min, but couple of hours without touching phone. Otherwise your the wakelock lol

Thanks for that will try what you suggested and see what happens
I reset the starts for a fresh start, the results where
800 MHz 15%
500 Mhz 12 %
200 MHz 55%
Deep Sleep 13%
I have no idea whaat this means lol,. thanks again

Battery drain solved

Hello, and scuse me for my poor English but if that can help someone:
I had a lot of problems with battery drain of my phone, so i've tested some roms but give me bad results. All my tests was the night, with no data, no wifi, no bluetooth
Supreme Rom was the first and battery drain was 3% by hour
Rom Ripper V1.0 was the second and with perseus kernel 4 or 5% by hour....!
The third XTrem rom V3 with Perseus Kernel 3% by hour and with Stock Kernel 1,5% by hour. V4, it was the same. I've tested with set CPU at minimum (400 MHZ max) screen off, voltages for all frequences -25mV, don't change anything.
BUT last Night I've tested Padorium ROM V6 with Stock Kernel and OUahhh, my battery was at 90% before sleep and 8 hours after, 87%. So 0.5% only by hour!! And in use (datas or wifi on, internnet, fcbk.....) 1% every 10 min. It's very good.
If that can help someone who's flashing again and again for battery drain....
I would not say this has solved battery drain.
I can get same amount of loss overnight if I turn off data, wifi, bluetooth etc as in 3% all night even less if I put the phone into flight mode. No matter what phone or rom I have used I can get these same results.
For you to lose soo much battery overnight you must have some rogue app running in the background to cause it, that is why personally I restart the phone before going to bed to kill any unknown apps in the background that are going to drain battery.

I don't think there was some apps who drained my battery. I've installed some tasks killers and that don't change anything. I saw regulary apps who runing, there were no apps stranges. I use the same apps now and battery drain is ok.
