As far as i know, there aren't any !
but if my information is antique, kindly tell me what Custom ROMs Do.
I want to try Custom ROMs but i need the S PEN and use it so i have to be sure before trying.
thanks !
Most if not all roms support the spen, aosp roms such as cm or pa support it aswell however the spen apps provided by samsung wont be there. You can choose to get other apps to replace them, such as note, papyrus and such. Good luck.

I'm wanting to flash my GNote to a Nexus based rom (any pure android experience rom) with the exception of ability to use S-Pen, install S Memo, and include Samsung Dive. Is there such a ROM?
Thanks!

What nexus based rom??
Do you mean cm9,cm10,aosp based roms
If yes, then try paranoid android jb..You cant use smemo and those samsung apps but there are alternatives for them
Aosp roms are useless now a days.. JB samsung roms are way ahead on smoothness and features... Not to mention multi view and others...
Tapatalking on my n7000
There is an S-Memo APK that has been ported to work on AOSP based ROMs such as AOKP and CM. Check the SGH-I747 forums. I've used it and it works pretty well. Also, try Catch with the Sketch add on. I prefer it over S-Memo, personally.

I agree with the features, I love the Samsung features and can't wait for them to arrive on the JB update. Meanwhile, I just want to see how my phone would run with AOSP roms. Thanks!

Flash the mod and dont forget to clear the data of flashbarservice.apk using titanium backup for the mod to work perfectly
yes I did that raj, and the apps show up but I cannot use all apps on the split screen. like WhatsApp and xda don't come together. It's like only the apps were there in stock comes.

was it a beta build??
where are features of N7000 stylus pen in 4.2.1 cynogenmod?
I have cynogenmod nightly build on my N7000 but I don't see features like I had in ICS 4.0 that used styus pen like marking / drawing etc.
With the update to JB 4.2.1 I don't see any more use of S-PEN now?
any advise ?
The apps are dependent on tw framework. Use alternate like gnote
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
well gnote is not specifically for note, i can use that app with any phone - The reason behind me asking this question is that what's the advantage of owning a note with jelly beans when there is nothing use with s-pen, you know ?
Also, I don't see any settings about s-pen in settings for note ?
Use a Samsung JB and you will find the spen useful. Mainly air view
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
Cyanogenmod doesnt have s-pen settings.
Use a samsung based rom, or keep using cm and look for alternative apps on the market.

On a Samsung phone.
Go back to standard ICS and wait for official Samsung Jellybean release. Or if you flashed CM10 yourself go to the ROM section and flash Ultimate ROM it has full SPen appa etc.

in first post of any thread on this forum is this kind of information. Best for you in future read that, and follow some of the links in it.
Rooting and custom roms are not fof everyone. They are just for the developers or for those who need more speed on their phones. If u want spen apps just like me. Then use stock ics or jb only.

best cm 7 rom for galaxy ace s5830?
Thanks:good:
The best rom is the one that best suits what you want to do with your Ace. Take a look around at the ones available here, there are lots to choose from, all great. Read the info on them, look at the screen shots, even try them out. Eventually you will find one that's perfect for you.

If you want me to recommend a few you can check out, then I'd have to recommend Democracy Final - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1712654
Or Apocolypse - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1700749
Both are great roms.

All custom roms are not 100% reliable. I have tried most of them and found stock rom rooted with cf-root b83/b84 (+fix) work best.
The only problem I found with cf-root is the sleep of death but that can be fixed very easily by editing the build.prop with a text editor and add the lines for sleep & power collapse.
Most custom roms have very nice features but tend to have no USSD support, broken compass (which devs don't seem to have the knowledge to fix (*cough* maclaw)..
Stock roms mate.. jib all the fancy stuff for a functional device.
I have flashed many CM7 roms but they dont even come close to stock
but as u r wanting cm7, u can try democracy, the new spongebob rom by pulsedroid, miracle v4 snf apocalypse these are my personal preferance
Thanks for your opinions

Hi I m coming from Motorola Atrix forum to here cause i ve changed my phone to N7000 I wonder what is the difference between Original n7000 developement and n7000 developement? There was no another original developement topic in Atrix's

Good question!
The original android dev is about android as it was intended by google. (Aosp).
The other one is mainly for samsung based roms (with touchwiz and all that nonsense ;#)

Thats right, multiview is a feature developed by samsung and is part of touchwiz, both those things arent available in AOSP (Android Open Source Project) roms.
If you prefer a samsung/touchwiz based rom then I reckon Ultimate is alright.
I myself however have am more comfortable with an AOSP rom, currently and for the last year or so ive been using Paranoid Android, which can be found in the Original Android Development section of the forum.
It has alot of nice features such as the Pie menu, DPI Mods (which is awesome on the big screen of the G-Note).
None of the touchwiz features are available on that rom, I prefer it that way.
I suggest you make a backup and just try both : )
Have fun, and good luck!
Can somebody please explain the differences between carbon ROM & CM? All the 4.4 ROMs look/feel the same to me apart from the awful sounds in carbon ROM.
I appreciate all the hard work the devs put in to making the ROMs. Iv been using maclaws 4.4 since initial release & its perfect for my needs.

if its comparision sorry buddy cant help [forum rules] why cant u check out videos in youtube about carbon rom and cm
Yeah I've googled it. They "sound" very different but in practice they feel the same.
I'm only asking for the main differences between them.
Back in the days of 4.1 ROMs dmod etc all the ROMs were very different. Now they don't seem that way.
Sent from my GT-I8190 using xda app-developers app
I think that they are very different in the settings but their interface is the same cause they are all basedon the aosp project. If you want to see the differences search videos read the Rom posts or just download them and try them both....

i can't compare them but i can tell you both are different from system as other roms are different from scripts, smoothness etc, etc. This is the same case if you want to know wich rom is better we can't help you with that but we can recommend you one
