I have twrp 2.4.4.0 and it keeps on rebooting while I do a back up or anything else. I had 2.3.3.0 and it was the same. I tried to get in recovery from the system (recovery reboot) and from powered off (vol+ + power button). Both of these methods fail. I also tried to wipe cache and dalvik cache. It did nothing. I also tried a different recovery (ClockworkMod Recovery (CWM) 6.0.2.6) and it was the same. I prefer twrp, is there any stable version which does not reboot by itself?

So my phone (HTC One Verizon m7vzw) keeps getting stuck frozen at about 25% of the way through the install process/screen for CM11. Here are the details of what I did:
- Started off with an installed version of CM 10.2
- Installed the latest version of ClockworkMod Recovery (6.0.4.7)
- Downloading gapps 4.4 and CM11 Snapshot M4 via the CM Updater app
- clicked install on the CM11 M4 build via the CM Updater app.
- phone boots into recovery and goes to install screen where the progress bar freezes at ~25%
- I can shut the phone down and send it back to the bootloader, but if I enter recovery it just automatically starts trying the flashing process again.
- ^ This means I can't try a factory reset...
Thanks for the help!
Ended up solving the problem using fastboot to flash a different recovery image (TWRP vs CWM), then use that recovery to wipe the user data, cache and dalvik cache, then wipe the system data so that the system partition could mount. Then re-flash the original recovery image (CWM) and that allowed me to finally flash the new ROM and Gapps
Purchased a Tab2 T713 last night. I powered it up and let it update to nougat.
The I installed TWRP 3.1.0.1 for T713 using ODIN.
Booted into TWRP and Installed SuperSU and no-verity-no-encrypt_ashyx.zip.
Rebooted into system and loaded my user apps from a Titanium backup all was working well.
Rebooted into recovery using Quickboot app.
I made a nandroid backup in TWRP and wiped Davlik and Cache.
When I try to reboot from TWRP, If I choose "System" it boost back to recovery mode and I'm back in TWRP.
If I choose "Power Off", the S2 turns off, but when I turn it back on, it boots back to TWRP recovery
Edit. Even choosing the Reboot - Power off option cause it to reboot into recovery
Second Edit. Found the answer in the TWRP forum. Seems you can't use a reboot App with 3.1.0.1 and S2. Solution was to reflash TWRP using ODIN

I was using MIUI 9 Global Stable and I had TWRP installed as my custom recovery. Recently, I have installed CRDroid with TWRP. I performed a full wipe including system, dalvik cache, data. Also I have flashed CRDroid succesfully. But now, I can't boot into recovery mode. I tried in various ways. I tried with KEY-COMBO of my phone (redmi 4x), tried with flashify, tried with power menu option of CRDroid to boot into recovery. But the phone just reboot as normal. It doesn't boot into recovery. Don't understanding what is the problem Does anybody have any idea? Please help

I too have a redmi 4x and have faced this problem too...
I tried various methods to solve it but the only two that work are (a) make a "clean" install : rom and twrp both or (b) switch to Resurrection Remix because the rom I've used and that supports redmi 4x is this one (in my opinion)...
try this and if any problem occurs contact me on [email protected] .
Did you try the keycombo power, volume up and volume down at the same time?
When you see the mi-logo release only the powerbutton.
I had the same Problem after flashing crdroid.
The problem was my firmware V025, with firmware V027 i can boot into recovery from power menu option.

Hi,
I am on xiaomi.eu weekly Android 10.
My device cant boot to any recovery. I flashed them all (3.3.0, 3.3.1, 3.2.3 or PicthBlack)
I flash them all successfully but none of them opens, they all stuck at recovery logo screen.
If I format my userdata and cache, twrp opens, but I dont want to wipe data every week.
Why all recoveries stuck? Does anyone have an idea?
Last time I format everything, installed 3.3.1 and installed rom. It works but I still couldnt open any recovery. (fastboot boot .img or volume up + power has same results)
This one solved the problem
