[Q] My X8 bricked?

Maybe someone can help me, I installed a new firmware(MiniCM7 2.1.5) on my X8 in CWM. After the reboot the screen stays permanent on 'Sony Ericsson'. I even can not come in CWM anymore. Can somebody help me with this? Thanks!
edit : I even can not put it off anymore, it stays on the Sony Ericsson screen, the only thing I can do is disconnect the battery

Both SEUS and PCC don't work. They don't see the phone when I connect it with the USB. The phone 'hangs' when the 'Sony Ericsson' words appear on the screen after I put on the phone. I don't even can switch it off, only when I get the battery out. Anybody who can help me with this?

OK.. You're still ok!
Take the battery out of the phone for a minute..
Restart windows
Once windows is restarted open PCC
Put battery in the phone, plug into usb and wait see if the drivers for your phone are installed correctly.
If so proceed to update your firmware as usual..
Good luck..

When I saw the title of its thread I knew the answer would either be:
You have a hardware problem, you need to physically repair it.
You have a hard brick, you're in deep muck.
Let us hold a minute silence for the late x8. Another one bites the dust. :crying:
hey if the green led is on while your phone is connect then it can be done....if not.then its a hard brick.........

maybe your's X8 is hard bricked or soft bricked , if your phone is stucks in the middle of the booting(Bootlop) its just soft bricked and you can fix it your self by using SONY PC COMPANION
step 1-plug in your phone to USB (off the phone)
step 2-go to PC Companion and click phone cannot detect/phone not found
step 3-shows a dialog box and click something like (FIX)
step 4-follow all the Sony Ericsson's procedure and your are DONE!
--------->this method will reset and restore your orignal Stock ROM (FRESH)
IF HARD BRICKED! YOU CANT DO ANYTHING JUST SEND IT TO SONY TO FIX if still under warranties ,if the warranty expired it will cost you.
bricked x8 while sim unlocking
Hi,
I have two x8's (11w48 and 11w22) and yesterday I unlocked both using WotanServer.com.
I did know 11w48 is most likely will be bricked if doing bootloader unlock, so I did not do that. Sim unlocking went well for this one, it works and it accepts any sim cards (hopefully. At least two different ones I tried and both work).
But the other one, 11w22 was sim unlocked yesterday (been stock 2.1.1 before, not even rooted) and after seeing "Unlock done! Disconnect your phone and reboot it." I disconnected, and no sign of life since then. I left it on the charger overnight, no led was lit.
SEUS, S1tool, X10flashtool can not see it, no vibration pressing power+up or power+up+down.
Q1: Is there a way I can bring it back to life?
It is partly in varranty period (has 1+1 years, sold in 2011).
Q2: Will the service center repair it under warranty?
This phone (11w22) looks nice, the other one (11w48) is scratched.
Q3: Will the service center detect if I swap the cases (put the bricked one having warranty in the scratched housing) and try to use the warranty?
Q4: Should I try omnius USB/serial method?

[Q] [HELP] Sony Ericsson X8 Bootloop

Two week ago when i played radio from an application on my device while charging it, suddenly my device reboot and reboot again...
Then i was trying reset all data but the problem still exist...
So i followed some guide from this forum by rooting and flashing it using flashtool and using new firmware from provide link ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=19684920#post19684920 and http://www.mediafire.com/?d3pobqqc3py66#4c02265ox4l1r )
and the problem was still the same, reboot and reboot again, so i tried using PCC and SEUS but it didn't change anything..
Lately, when i charge my device, it didn't reboot, but when i didn't charge the phone, on some point my device reboot and reboot again and the battery went down to +/- 2-15%
What is really happen to my device ?? Is it battery problem or RAM problem ???
Sorry for my bad english, i am a newbie in this forum...
Thx for your help ..

Sony Ericsson X8 Bootloop
Hey I will tell you what to do.
First of all install Sony Ericsson Update Service or SEUS. Just Google it and you can find it easily!
Now connect your phone to your computer via USB cable.
Start SEUS.
Then follow the on-screen instructions.(You will be asked to select your phone model, update or repair your phone etc)But its easy!!!!!
Then leave the rest to SEUS.
It will first repair your phone, then download the stock rom and kernel and also the baseband and will automatically install them.
After that you will have your X8 on stock rom,it will be updated to the latest baseband and kernel.
Hope it works for you.

For my case, it will bootup with 1.6 stock rom, the baseband will be stated unknown, but it still can call and receive SMS...
Any rom that is above 2.1 won't be able to boot, that include stock 2.1 and any custom rom...
It only can be repaired by SE i think (or maybe JTAG )...
So in the end i gave up the phone and sold it at a cheap price to a friend and he took it to SE for repair, the phone comes back with stock 2.1 ROM
but the camera and vol button are not working, most probably damaged by the repair guy in SE...
Btw, any one knows what causes the baseband to gone like that?

Xperia Z restarts

Hi my friends.
Today was very bad day for me. First my bird died, then my phone stops working and i stuck in elevator. I need your help. Afternoon i want to call my buddy for lunch. Everything starts after lockscreen. When i call him phone wont connect to operator then it says no connection and stuck at dialer. I push power button to get lockscreen and it frozen for while then it locks and i opened lockscreen. When i saw launcher phone resets and every time it resets at SONY logo. I flashed my device 3 times or more. I used .233 . 230 and 4.3 . Every time battery shows wrong percentage. Phone opens when i plugged to charge. But if it has sim card it resets. When i disconnect from charger it resets. I try to open USB DEBUGING for install recovery to reset battery info but when i check USB debuging it resets again. You guys have any idea for that problem.
Did you try clean installation?

Try pushing your simcard back in place, sometimes it'll get out of place, and then you're phone won't connect to network and reboot every time it thinks simcard is removed

Looks like the is some issue with Sim assembly or can be a software/hardware issue.
As all methods have not worked take the phone to a service center and get it diagnosed
ive got the reboot problem too,
try to use philz touch, go to mount and storage, mount system, factory reset,
go back to mount, mount system, flash rom
keep stamina mode off, so far that has kept my rom stable ( tried to turn stamina mode on and caused a reboot after an hour or so)
im not sure if this a final solution, but its what i am trying
Yesterday i got my device from service. They change full body. I didnt understand what problem couses it. Now everything works fine.

[Q] XPERIA Z doesn't boot

Hi,
Last week i uncharged my SONY XPERIA Z to a very low battery level. After charging when i turned it on, it showed Sony logo and the led flashed but it didn't boot. I tried connecting it to PC but still nothing happens. Yesterday I was in the service, but the technician said that he cant undertake it and cant do anything with it. I dont know what he did, maybe he changed some of components but its still dead. Please help me guys!
