Hi everybody,
I'm new to the community and this is my first post.
I'm having some issue with viber on my xperia T, the thing is that when I call, people can't hear me,
I hear them well, and the quality of the call is very good.
I can't find the problem...
So if you have some solutions...
My phone is on Jelly Bean stock version.
Same exact problem...
Anybody have a solution?
this is quite annoying

I'm having the same problem with Xperia V,
I just got the phone on sunday with ICS and saw the update coming, updated the phone.
I set it up and installed viber on my phone, People on the other side can't hear me at all.I can hear'em perfectly yet they can't hear me at all.
For the first time I thought it was only me who has the problem, I even googled it and couldn't find any solution.
Too bad and I felt like going back to ICS and see the problem still occurs cause I didn't get a chance to test it on ICS.
Hope they'll find the problem and a solution for this. or something on coming update.
I too tought that I was the only one.
I checked viber website, and the Xperia T is not listed in the compatible devices... even though it's android device!
Oh then, Xperia V might not be listed too. well they'll fix it in later updates. so yea we gotta wait, till then we'll have to chat.
I saw in some post that a person from viber was answering questions, So maybe we can contact him but how? Just to check if they plan to make it compatible or to tell us a tips to get it to work...

I'm coming from Arc S too, and while I never had such a big issues with Arc S Wi-Fi (on stock GingerBread), I can say that Wi-Fi reception on T is both, more stable, and with stronger signal.
Xperia Arc/S problems with signal are mostly related to bad ICS update, because on GB it was much better.
Regarding Google search, you know, nowadays people are searching for all kind of things, for reason and for no reason, and Google is remembering all that.
So basically, whatever nonesense you enter into Google search, you will most likely get some results, less or more relevant.

Mine is fine...
Xperia T could have much better wifi reception if Sony want...HW is ok but SW is killing its potencial
I have problems since I bought it,keep dropping connection(every 2 minutes reconnect )
ON Cyanogenmod theres no such issues,on TX firmware no problem too + wifi range 2x better than with stock T Firmware
Check this, its definetly not HW problem..

Agree, WiFi on Xperia is good except the range.. It sucks! My old LG optimus black was far better..

That is it. And this is why Google search will become irrelevant, sooner than we might believe.
From "XYZ has the best Wifi ever" to "XYZ's wifi reception is worst" ........ I assume that everything is all right.
Wifi reception in Singapore is sometimes difficult, bcs of the tight space, 20 or more Wifi transmitters locally, and so on. Also I believe in some cases there is a certain intention, since people shall be more encouraged using (pay) data connections.
I have same issue. Wifi signal is very poor in my Xperia T and it loses the connection all the time. I compared the Wifi reception with an Alcatel One Touch Idol and it was 2xbetter in same point. I think it has to be a SW problem, as the HW is the same than other devices and it works fine.
Hi Telstra users,
I would just like to ask if anyone here on the .259 firmware is still experiencing the infamous touch screen problem after updating from .257 to .259? your reply is very much appreciated.
Here's the link in sony forums and I too have the same problem

So you definately didn't have that problem with the previous firmware?
Because the issue you raise here is an issue all the time, and would appear to be hardware related rather than firmware.

What he means is the firmware is pretty much the same as everyone else, the iteration of the update is only Telstra customisation.

Just asking this because someone tipped me that his touch issue was solved by flashing the .259 from Telstra so I'm just wondering if that will be the case and wanted to have feedback from the owners.
I've always had this problem and still hoping in the next update that this will be solved. Tipo and Miro have this issue too and a third party app solved the problem.

it would be good if you have the problem since we can really test if the update solved it but since you have a non faulty phone trying it would be not a good idea since we cannot really test or prove something.
Thanks man for the help that you have offered. I'm really just a frustrated z1 owner and I cant use my phone especially in games since I always lose touch.

i'm pretty sure it's a software issue, i downloaded that app they mentioned and when i test my touch screen it always goes fine.
but i too did sometimes notice my touchscreen failing to register touches during games, after long time of playing, but if i quit and reenter the game it's all fine again...
so it's not a hardware problem, defenetly software, sony are aware of it and will solve it, fast i hope.
First I've heard of it haha
Had my Z1 for about 3-4 months and been on 259 for probably half that. No issue prior or post update

Why don't you take the phone back or try some other ones to see if they have the same issue, for instance in your telco shop. If they don't get your phone replaced.

Customer service is really sucky here in my country. If you send your phone for repair when it comes back parts are stolen and will charge you even for parts and repair. Tried some units that were on display and dont have that annoying issue.
Fingers crossed since nexus 7 2013 had the same problems and I'm hoping that an update will fix this.

If you use flash tool the two codes don't matter, yes after you have flashed, then flash back the just the baseband from your current provider
A couple of days ago I flashed just the 259 Kernel and I would say the touch screen improved a bit, but it kept failing. I would say mostly if you touch near one of the screen borders.
I just flashed the whole 259 firmware and my screen keeps failing as with just the kernel... only difference is now I have a weird boot logo and root is gone!

Yes, because it is a standard ROM, same would happen if you restored your phone with PC Companion.
I'm on stock 4.3 fw (SEUS Update). My camera is flickering (green lines) when on low light condition (indoor).
Anyone else is facing this bug? It's incredible.
Did you drop your Xperia V, if yes then that is due to the lens being damaged and some wires broke loose causing the "green lines" you are saying
I suggest you bring phone to Sony and expect to pay since warranty does not cover self-made damages on the phone
mine same problem in 4.1.2 is not there in 4.3 line are there

In 4.1.2 I've got no problem at all. Only with 4.3 camera flickers and record green lines over images.
It's a software problem, not hw.
This is a video (not mine) that show the bug:

I can confirm. On a brand new Xperia V (NEVER ROOT/Unlock BL, virgin!) disabling NFC and Image Stabilizer solve the green lines problem.
I can't test at the moment on a rooted Xperia V. Anyone can test and confirm it works also on rooted/unlocked BL device?
^works with unlocked BL as well

It's really strange. It's known to be an issue related to the nfc chip...try (just for test) to disable wifi and bt (and radio) also and let us know.
i still have a problem with the recording focus sound...any solution? maybe another camera driver?
the xperia v has two microphones on the back and the mic beside the camera records the focus sound really loud i think...
Anyone got this update yet? Anyone notice any improvements?

ARH6 is for Verizon. Saw a post about it just now.
After getting this OTA my battery life is horrid and seems to lose 1 percent every hour just sleeping. I also don't seem to have any new wakelocks. I tried clearing cache from recovery, clearing cache for google services, checking settings ect. Anyone else experiencing this?
