same here, it works fine.
but it sucks compared to Android GB Keyboard
i used to believe Swype was great until i started using AGB keyboard, now i can't live without it.
it's simply that good
AGB keyboard = stock keyboard on 2.3.3 / 2.3.4
i actually find swype to be cumbersome and slow now

Granted I'm a first time Android user, but I couldn't get used to the keyboard on my NS4G. I'm also coming from a Pre with a physical keyboard that I could type one handed without looking.
I admit the Swype keyboard looks like garbage compared to the new keyboard, but in terms of usability, I can punch out a text using Swype waayyy faster than on the new keyboard.
okay, yes, if you want to type one handed in the mist of a rush hour in a public transit, then Swype is a better choice
but for multi-touch fast 2 hands typing, the stock android keyboard is magnificent specially when it comes to language switching
it gives you instantaneous language swap, so in the same message you can mix and match languages without the looooooong steps required on swype.
Confirming also that swype is working fine on NS4G. I had to log into the swype beta website, 'remove' the old device they had listed for my account, re download the inataller, let it do its thing, e.g. install, license...
Off topic, do guys get key lag with AGB Keyboard? ..and did u install from market, or literally just the stock?
pileosnafu said:
I went there today, and saw that the Beta is still open. Just sign up to get the keyboard.
Also after 30 minutes of using the stock keyboard, and then 30 minutes of using the sywpe I went back to stock. The predection function is good. Almost as good as the real thing i had on the epic

do u keep vibrate on? Does that make the keyboard lag and/or miss keys (for you)?

Use keyboard manager from the market to use Swype in portrait and then switch to whatever other keyboard you want in landscape.

Is there any way to get the non-beta pre-loaded version that was on the Epic?? I really really miss the ability to double tap a misspelled word and bring up a list of other words....
Hello, can any of you tell me the best keyboard for the OB? I am currently using GO keyboard and it is not the best. Thanks in advance!

I like Perfect Keyboard because it allows to have a compact keyboard for portrait... a qwerty layout for portrait is IMHO too hard to use without mistakes.
In the other part Perfect Keyboard is rather bad for terminal and bash purpouses because is difficult to write symbols like _ or =
Regards!
the best: swiftkey
Well, I have used both and didn't like them... Any other solutions? The best so far is the GO keyboard that I have used so far, very smooth.

I use Smart Keyboard.
htc ime & swype are perfect for me.

I used SliedIT, but only found a demo and it expired. Didn't want to pay for it.
I am looking for a specific feature in a swipe style keyboard, I need it to automatically recognize two languages. I sometimes write messages in my native language, and sometimes in English. Is this possible? SlideIT had a setting like "secondary dictionary" but it didn't work, or I don't know how to switch between (other then manually from the settings page).
I'm using HTC ime for passwords etc. and swype beta for allday writing
Once discovered that HTC IME has compact keyboard to and is easy to chage between them with left-right swipe... stuck on HTC IME!!!
Regards.

why do you change keyboard for passwords? You can write normally on Swype

because in some apps swype is trying to add passwords to the dictionary or replaces the passwords with words from dictionary ^^
The ones you have mentioned have not proven to be a wise choice for me because 1) they are too compact, 2)weak design and 3)do not recognize well other languages such as Portuguese or Spanish, which I normally use alongside with English. The downside of GO keyboard is that sometimes it is slow/annoying to type sometimes. Any other alternatives you might share?

I'm using GO Keyboard. In newest version it has swype, a lot of supported languages, themes and other stuff. I suggest you to try GO.
Acutally, I'm pretty satisfied with the LG stock keyboard. It even automatically changes to the local language when I'm abroad. I've additionally installed Smart keyboard but frankly haven't used it a lot.

Does anyone have a pack that has S Pen applications like S Note and S Memo on custom ROMs?
EDIT: I use Paranoid Android 3.10 on JellyBean 4.2.2
They only work on TW roms.

Is there another application that I can use to instantly edit the captured pictures?
NO.
By the way, Papyrus is a fine replacement for SNote.
There is apps on the market than can do all these. Search what feature you want and download.
Search Spen or "S pen"

Papyrus is great and all, but the lines aren't as smooth as S Memo. I know this is a necro post, but someone may be interested. Papyrus IS a great and free app, but it leaves something to be desired in fluidity. Still better than TW, IMO.
I had the same issue. But I converted the notes files into text format and upload to Google Keep app, which is available in play store.
Copy all snotes files to PC and rename the extension to .zip or rar format. Then open the archive files to find thumbnail jpeg and type the contents in notepad and copy to Google keep

There is handwrite, papyrus and others...
I found to be the best "freenote" and color note
somehow have better accuracy
Is there a way to get my S Notes from my Samsung account somewhere? From the PC? I'm using an AOSP ROM, and I want to get my S Notes back. Is there a way, or would I have to flash a TouchWiz ROM to resynchronize them?
If u have not wiped internal memory then u can find snotes files there. Once found then follow the above said procedure

...there is , try Adobe PhotoShop Touch. I've heard a lot of hype about Papyrus...Give "Write" a try - has more of the awesome S Note options, like the ignore hand/palm thing, so you can write like most ppl normally do, w/o you're whole hand in the air.
Papyrus is good... some features like the true eraser and export to dropbox are premium features that don't cost that much.
I prefer write as it offers a lot of functionality.
You can also use Evernote
Hello,
For persons who want to input text on GEAR really quickly - for sms, (close future?!) email etc - please have a look on Graffiti for Android text input from ACCESS CO. - available in the play store, free version is OK
This make sense if You are running fOmey null_08 or later ROM. Just install it using Wondershare Mobile Go or other preferred way.
What is coincidence - I have started to use this software on the APPLE NEWTON120 in 1995!!
http://www.everymac.com/systems/appl...on_mp_120.html - for those who want to know what is is was (fitting just right in the case from VHS video tape!)
Have a look on the picture - note that full keyboard take less than half of the screen!!
it is around 10 times faster to input text and digits with Graffiti than with Flit! - easy to learn - just a few letters needs "one touch/movement input" - train on the phone first! - when you make the up gesture from the input area Graffiti will show you how to input letters, digits and symbols.
Good old times! It was the default input method that came with the Palm devices.

Dood it works sooo well on the Gear vs. KB.

I believe it will. I used it on the Palm back then. I was very fast with it.
(Btw, also have a look at messagease. It's also an old input method for small screen devices. Also works great.)
i tried using several keyboards, including optimized T9-like for small screen, but they all were slow without the physical touch of a button for me. vibration did not help much. i'm sticking to full qwerty Google Keyboard. despite small keys size, i don't have problem typing and swyping.
SwiftKey works amazingly as well. I like that you can use swype-like input and the auto correct is great. But your idea is also nice. Just throwing in my 2 cents about great keyboards

hi ,
i used Wondershare mobile for Android ,to install from market ( sideload from pc )
Check other threads here on forum about wondershare, if you want to know about Wondershare
You don't have to have root etc ..just install .
(or.. Google, to download trail vers of Wondershare....15 days trail )
Easiest way to install will be through Wondershare mobile go for android - it is free for 15 days, but first You have to enable the the USB debugging in - read about that in the rooting thread. You may try to use only graffiti keyboard but honestly the stock firmware is USELESS comparing to the version 10 of the custom ROM.
To install the rom - read at least the first page of the thread, get odin 3.09 and You will be fine! then You can install graffiti just from the market, or again use Wondershare...
I used to love Fleksy, but they do not support it anymore. iirc it's open source now, hope someone will bring it back.
I'm using SwiftKey atm.
What about you?
swiftkey is the best i used so far.
Beta SwiftKey! Best for me.
The system default keyboard
Swiftkey for me top 1.
Xperia Keyboard is definitely the best..

Gboard because I like how it syncs what it learns about my gesture typing....may try swiftkey for a bit because I keep seeing good things about it.
Xperia Keyboard is the best Keyboard (I installed ist on every Smartphone)
Currently I am using TouchPal Keyboard, before few months I never thought that I will use this App but the latest update is just out of the box
GBoard it is.
