Which recovery did you install? I had problems with CWM Recovery so I installed TWRP and it works flawlessly on my phone. The installation is also very simple as you can do it through an apk. Here is a link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2190936
With regards to the black status and notification bar I installed one from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2178024

[Q] stuck in clock work mod recovery

I can't seem to get the Update.zip to work and now my ds7 only shows the cwm rec boot loader. Pls hlp me. Thank you.
So i did some reading and what i did wrong was factory reset from the settings menu not cwm. No instructions were clear how to fix my mistake. Help would be awesome. Any help i could get can be rewarded money. cwm 3.0.2.0
OMG, i also did a factory reset and now it is stuck on cwm, can't even get into fastboot mode
GUYS, please help.. this is bad as I've been searching the forums for an answer and all i see is to try fastboot.. thanks in advance

Don't worry guys, I almost went crazy just now thinking mine was "bricked" as well when it really wasnt. Restore with the following method will fix it
DO NOT FORGET to press both volume + and volume - at the same time so that your computer will detect it as a NVFlash device and the nvflash method (with batch file) will pick it up as a driver and reflash your device to stock. I made that mistake as well

[Q] CWM install problem. ROOT. help!!

Hi guys,
I tried to root my razr i XT890.
Successfully I could easily unlock the bootloader.
But the CWM flash/installation didn't work.
I tried dozens of tutorials and youtube instructions, even the installer.
But when I rebooted to make the final root, it was again the stock recovery :crying:
Can someone help me?
More specific: in the command line (pc) it said it finished flashing, while in the phone it said "flashing" for several minutes. so I just rebooted.
Currently I'm stuck in the stock recovery. Can't do anything. Screen is on. Dammit. I think I have to wait till the battery is empty :/
As an emergency, you can force turn off by pressing pwr+VolUp+VolDn keys all three at the same time for about 8 seconds, the phone should shutdown... let us know how does it come up after rebooting...

Thank you very much it did work.
Do you have any idea about the cwm?
I used the same installer you're referencing above (by Lebobo), but installed TWRP instead, it has always worked fine for me, it has the same features (and then some more) than CWM recovery... it's worth a try...

I tried it already. Without success :crying:
mmmm let's see, you say you get stock recovery back after a reboot, that means you have got custom recovery at one time to attempt rooting, is this correct?
What rooting method are you attempting? I recall using a RazrIRoot2.1[JB].zip file to gain root... actually it's still in my microSD card...

actually it was all the time the stock recovery. I think.
Yes I planned to root with the RazrIRoot2.1[JB].zip file once I solved the CWM installation
.
Well, it should be very straight forward, bootloader should be unlocked and USB debugging enabled for it to work, can't think of other prerequisite... if you have these two you should be good to go... it should not be necessary, but probably try a factory reset / cache and dalvik wipe... but you would loose all of your data... then again enable usb debugging...
.
As I said the Bootloader is unlocked. USB debugging is of course enabled.
Android is JB 4.1.2 Could this be a reason?
http://www.handy-faq.de/forum/showthread.php?p=2566441
Try our TWRP or CWM Flasher. Connect with USB Debugging enabled, start the FlashTWRP.bat.
After it flashed the Recovery, it will bring you right back into the Bootloader. Select Recovery with Vol.down, accept with vol. up and get rooted

You should be able to flash recovery in JellyBean with no problem using Lebobo's installer, that's not an issue... have you tried this version as well? There are options for black and white, that is only the interface, they work the same...
Thank you sooo much HSD-Pilot.It worked immediately.
I try now to install Omars Rom and after that Pdroid.

Congrats Janine! Let us know how it goes with PDroid, I understand is not compatible with RazrI...

twrp 3.0.3 https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=817550096634747128
This recovery working for you? Others stated the one in the op works just fine, but since I do not have this device to test personally I can only go off of what users say.
it's working for me, after i flash the ROM i think my phone got bootloop that's why i boot again to download mode but when i tried to flash stock rom it gives a fail. now my phone stuck on led blue light and "Recovery Booting (Blue text color) and "Set Warranty Bit: Recovery" (Yellow Text Color). i need to wait to drain the battery and try if i can boot to download mode again.. i'm afraid if i can't access download mode again or recovery.
You guys are remembering to format data on a new twrp install or a new os version install? 6-7,7-8 get it? These roms or recoverys will not brick the devices I made them for kinda impossible.
You do know a brick right? Brick = no power nothing just a pricey paperweight.
how about my problem "Recovery Booting (Blue text color) and "Set Warranty Bit: Recovery" (Yellow Text Color) and it keeps restarting i can't access recovery either download mode

did u unlock your bootloader? sounds like you did not.
it won't my phone to unlock bootloader everytime i run CROM it closes automatically. until now i can't believe my phone was bricked and i don't have any idea to fix this without download mode. even if i bring this to service center i think they will not to accept my phone because my warranty is already void.

Hello! first of all thank you for this thread. I've been reading since the first thread that sir Travis has created.
I just can't unlock my bootloader, I think it is the reason why I am having bootloops after installing the rom , and even I install the rom in this thread I am still having the bloated one after installing.
I tried installing different CROM Services from every other sources that I found, but still no luck. CROM service has stopped -error I get when opening after installing it on my phone.
I also tried factory resetting my phone then install CROM but still same error occurs.
I hope you can help me guys. Thank you in advance!

SC-02H/SCV33 doesn't need to unlock bootloader. Because they aren't been locked bootloader.
So there's no need to do that.

I tried it again, I've waited for almost 1 hour, and nothing happens. I wonder, before booting, something shows at the top with yellow font color says "Set Warranty Bit : kernel", is it normal for that to show? or is it mean that Im having a corrupted boot data?

If i know how to do it! I'm kinda lame in phones and android. Could you tell me something i can do now? I'm currently trying to find some program for PC now, so i can connect my phone and hopefully do something
Even hard reset (Volume down + Home + Power buttons at the same time. ) does'nt works now. i keep getting the loading logo.
It seems you are new to android, custom ROM, recovery etc. and this indicate you haven't took nandroid backup of your ROM to restore it later... Now what you can try is, go to stock recovery with pressing phone buttons combination ( google it according to your phone model ) and do factory reset (warning- it will wipe all your data but may set your phone to boot and work ) ..at least try it when nothing is working

I almost bricked my Samsung G5 (the ATT version with the screwy locked bootloader, I think?) almost this exact same way about two years ago. It took a bit with ODIN and some time on the forums here, but eventually I got it working again. Not fun but I am glad everything worked out for you as well.
To be honest I learned more successfully trying to unbrick that phone than I ever would have had I not royally effed up....
