Please state how long does your s3 mini charges from 0% to 100%? Thanks
It would say more than 3 hours.I never had a phone that charges so long, its really annoying.
Never been discharge it totally to 0%.
But from 30%, it would take around 1 - 2 hours I guess.
Not that hard. 1.5(battery) / 0.7(charger output) = 2.14 (if phone off)

I've searched High and Low for a solution but I can't find anyone who have the same problem as I do.
My Galaxy Tab is running on 2.3.3 and it has been good all this while. Then recently, when my Galaxy Tab shows the 100% fully charged symbol, after unplugging it falls back into the battery % I had before charging. (This happens when I left it idle/when I'm sleeping)
Basically the problem is, it wouldn't charge. So I decided to monitor it as it charges. After 2 hours or so, the battery still shows 53% charging and did not increase. Neither did it drop while charging.
However, when I drain it a little, it varies. For example when I drain it to 43% and recharge after that, it might charge till it's 60% or 55% and stuck.
I need a solution. Thank You
Well first of you should try to use an app called battery calibrator.
But it can also be that you have one of the faulty Taiwan battery's. Samsung replaced them later on with China battery's and they don't have this problem...
I have an Taiwan battery with similar troubles. I for example can charge to 100% then disconnect and fall too 99% instantly. Then if I reboot I come back with 50% battery or less left...
So I don't reboot my phone when not at home
Anyways, I orderd a new Chinese battery from eBay ...
i have a bit same problem. when i charge the battery percentage still the same even if i charge it for 2 or 3 hours...is this a software problem?pls help.thnx
Hello everyone. I have this phone for a week right now and I'm really impressed how brilliant it is! I love it. But there are some questions I want to ask you and one of it is:
What is your average charging time from ~0% to absolutely full 100%? In my case it's about 3 or even 4 hours of constant charging. Even when on 100%, my widget (Battery life by Curve fish) doesn't show it's fully charged - still I have to leave my phone connected and after 30/40 minutes it says "full" and I can disconnect it. It's pretty strange because the charger is meant to have 1,5A output which is VERY BIG current in comparison with Xperia PLAY's charger (850mA). And many reviews of this phone say that the full charging cycle takes about 1h 30min from 0 to 100... What do you think?

Are you using it while charging 3-4 hours, if you are using it, it's charged and discharged at the same time?
But from what I know - thermal throttling is the cause again. Especially if you're using it.
Maybe it charges 1,5Ah for the first 15 - 30 minutes, but then the current goes down, because of the temperature.
Somewhere between 80-100% it is normal, that it takes longer. The charging current is as low as high is the battery charging state.
Hi, how long will take to charge from 10% to 100% with original 0.7a charger a S3 mini I8200 with a 1500 battery? mine in standby without touch it take 4 hours to reach from 10% to 100%.It is normal? just reply if you have this phone and you manage to test it , i want to use the warranty if is not normal this long time charging, i send it one time to service and they replace the battery after the phone shutdown itself, now the phone take long time to charge and battery drain fast.if is not normal the Esd-rom Samsung service from Romania are unreliable and bad service. Thanks
Hey guys,
I haven't used my Galaxy Tab S2 in a while now. When I plugged it in it was at 0%. I used "a" (possibly not original that came with box) OEM 2.0A Samsung Charger + Note 5/Samsung Official Cable to charge my tablet. It has only gone up by 5% in the past 30 minutes.
Also when it was at 0% it said it'd take 7hr 12min to fully charge.
Is this normal when the tablet has not been used in a long time, or am I possibly looking at a bad charger/cable as the charger and cable charge my Note 5 just fine at the normal (non-fast charge) speed where it charges my phone fully in just over 1hr 30 min.
If someone could help me out to resolve this I'd be grateful.
Thanks!
Don't think the charger and cable are faulty as they work on your mobile. Generally whenever I charge my Samsung galaxy tab s2 using a different charger it shows a notification if the charger plugged in is slow. If it didn't show this I don't see why it would take so long other than the charger your using has a lower output causing it to take a lot longer than usual to charge.
Every android device I have will sometimes not charge fast enough - it doesn't matter what charger I'm using. If I catch that the charge is slow I just unplug it and replug it a it'll be normal again. I think the "smart charge" goes crazy sometimes.
I had the same problem on the tab s2 8''. It was because the motherboard broke. They fixed it under warranty.
When I had this problem I couldn't attach any external device (usb, playstation controller) through USB. Try if you can
I don't have the original charger anymore to compare on my 9.7. I use anker potable batteries to be free of wall sockets. It isn't 2.0. In battery monitor widget, really good app, shows charge anywhere from 1200-1600mA 20% per hour while in use during charging. 5 hours total. I think with screen off I get 30%. I get 10 hours of screen on time zero loss with it off over night. Using 5.1
It could be the motherboard. I know with laptops charging starts to mess up a few weeks before it no longer works at. The connection between the USB and board weakens over time/use.

Sounds normal. The big Lion batteries in these devices are just weird at time. Running one down to 0 is a good way to kill the battery permanently. Let it charge slowly and then keep it above 20-30% from now on. Should improve over time.
I think its a myth you shouldn't let the battery get low. As long as the battery itself says I'm at zero at the correct voltage then zero is perfectly fine. I'm not an expert here but at 5% battery I'm at 3.6v and will turn off in a few minutes after that. I think batteries are manufactured to safely go down to 3.2 before saying no more. Need to charge.
i charged 1 hour to see how much battery charged from 1 percent in 1 hour its powered off, before 1 day i tested and see 88% when powered off charged in 1 hour from 1 percent. i tested from 1 percent how charged battery when the phone powered on but dont used , in 1 hour charged 69%. today i powered off and connected charger from 1 percent to see how much battery charged in 1 hour, same 69% when the phone its on but dont used, so how before 2days charged when power off in 1 hour 88%, now the same time and battery charged just 69% same like not powered off phone just charged and dont used, so i though charging fast when powered off, but not...? i mean i charged via fast cable fast charge adaptive when phone its off and when phone its on... hmm weird because just 69 percent in 1 hour when phone was off completely, yesterday i charged when phone was on but dont used so battery charged in 1 hour 69percent via fast charger cable and fast adapter 2W.
