The sheet is NOT a "screen protector", its an anti-shatter film. You're not actually meant to remove and replace it. Rather, you should paste screen protectors on top of it.
Or just run it "naked", it's very sexy without the Sony logo.

In box has 2 new screen protectors, so I must apply them over the phone that comes in?
This does not reduce the sensitivity?

No idea, ask in the ZL forum
It's part of their screen "technology", for me it's not a simple screen protector that you can remove. I'll never touch it.

What do you mean by "anti-fingerprint"?! It is inevitable to get fingerprints on a touch (the name says it all) device. You leave fingerprints on almost everything you grab during the day! Except for sand and cloth maybe .
anti-fingerprint means a screenprotector that can hide fingerprint. my head have one for his i-phone.. but who made that screenprotector doesn't have it for hd2...
so matte screenprotector can hide the fingerprints?
any link?

I'm using a matt screen protector as well. The only thing I'm finding is that the screen isn't as sensitive with it on, but for driving with the phone in its cradle its fantastic.

would a sticker be okay?

i would keep it in black, as black phones are proven to give the illusion that the phone screen is bigger

What u need is a new Digitizer. So, just type "white digitizer for galaxy ace", and 'uncle g00gle' will show you the rest. But remember, for a the best result, i thing you have to buy a new white home button too.
it easy to disassemble and to assemble, just ask "miss y0utube".
That looks great I want it

I totally agree with you at least I know if I wanted to resell my tl I won't have to worry about describing a scratched screen.
i toyed with the idea of removing mine, but after seeing how the glass is hard to clean after I might leave it on.. stupidly the only scratches mine has endured so far are where i have failed to get the charger in the hole and it has slipped onto the screen. there may have been alcohol involved.

I have the Xperia V, but I know that mine also has a screenprotector on it, but I cannot understand why anyone would remove it.
I have also added the Copter protection ontop.
It feels nice, allmost like glass. It also it sensitive like it would be without any protection.

R: Sony Xperia T have pre-Shatterproof screen protector (vid)
I removed the screen protector because it generates too much friction with my thumb. I had to be literally oil-fingered to use it comfortably.
The bare screen is better, letting the oil film form and my thumbs slip better.
Furthermore, no more dust collecting between it and the screen edge.
Having previously had iPhones, and knowing a friend with the Galaxy S2, I didn't even expect the Xperia T to have a screen protector, so I'd ordered my own before I even had the phone.
It wasn't until snooping around XDA forums I found out, after I'd already put one on.
Point being, even if the "stock" protector can scratch, it turns out I have a second protector on top anyway. There is no issues of sensitivity.
I removed mine
I think the shatter-proof thing is tacky, and I am very careful with my phones. I'd rather feel the glass that I paid all that money for! I don't mind breathing on my phone and rubbing it on my shirt every so often.
Take it off, it's nice!
Hello all,
Now this is a very simple question.
Since the Sony Xperia Z has a glass back would it be possible to engrave a picture onto the back part of the phone?.

There are some stickers available for the back of the XZ. That's about it right now.
There are also some sites that let create your own sticker, but I forgot them, so can't really see if the XZ is available on those.
Edit: I meant a site like this
https://imageware.co/
Only supports myPhone and Samsung phones...

There are etching solutions that you brush on and create a froted glass like effect which you can actually feel. This does damage the glass so it's not recommended. What might be an idea, is to buy a spigen tempered glass protector and use the solution on that.
no guarantee it will work, and im not responsible for any damage, but this is the idea

Of course it would be, but it will cost you a lot of money since it is very hard glass (hard to engrave), jeopardise the strength of the rear glass and void your warranty
Watch the video and understand the concept of tempered glass.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9FJUD5WB_ko&feature=youtube_gdata_player
Basically when you engrave something in the glass it will lose most of it's (strength). So I don't advice you to do so. Aluminium and plastic are a totally different story and wouldn't be as affected as the tempered glass when doing things like engraving.
Stickers as someone above me mentioned seems like the best option.
Sent from my C6602 using xda app-developers app
Once glass is tempered it can't be drilled or cut so engraving is out of the question I'd say.
Sent from my C6603 using xda app-developers app
U can drill it with a very low drilling speed and feed, or it will break like normal glass.
But this will dramatically reduce back glass durability.
If I still have access to that cnc machine, I would be able to make my own back panel.
Sent from my C6602 using xda app-developers app
Sorry for the late response I've been busy. Thanks for the ideas I think I'm going to go with getting a clear plastic case and engrave that. I could probably do some sick effects going that route as well.
Hey!! I have sony xperia z which has a broken touch screen but the display is working fine. But there are 2 black spots on the display on which the time is displayed. So im confused only the touch screen is broken or both touch and lcd?

It wouldn't spread unless you apply a lot of pressure. If you press down too hard it'll break more.

Buy Digitalizer and LCD Display from here
http://www.ebay.de/itm/151615938934...49&var=450825180259&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
I bought the display + frame assembly from here:http://www.aliexpress.com/item/LCD-...ria-Z-L36h-C6603-LT36-display/1449119790.html
I was skeptic at the start, but the screen is actually darn good.
26$,arrived in only 8 days(even though it said it would take from 15 to 30 days),my phone looks brand new and the screen is nice for the price(the colors are a bit duller than the original screen, but the viewing angles are epic, almost like an IPS screen). xD
I was ready to sacrifice 10% of the color reproduction on my screen instead of paying 3x more for an original one(yeah,a new screen and frame assembly in my country costs no less than 100 $ )
Buy a new phone. Xperia Z is a piece of ****. I cracked my screen twice. The second time you can't even see the crack unless holding it on an angle under a certain light. I see iPhones all the time, MISSING part of the front glass and still working. I bought my mum a Xperia Z Ultra and that broke two in one small drop. Count it a win and change manufacturer.
