Man it tells you that because Facebook thinks you use old
IE for PC Lol!
There's no PIE upgrade.
So no chat..
BUT:
There's a great Facebook chat app:
FIM.
Google this, it's a great free app.
When I open email on gmail app, some of it forces close the app. Also with Current app, I can't open feed that in other lanquages (not English).
Anyone also have this problem? How to fix? Please share.
I already clear data on both apps and it still happend.
HK xperia Z c6603.
Just curious to know how many of you are facing battery drain from using the xperia social apps? I noticed that I'm getting a battery drain when it syncs for calendar events on FB (Xperia Facebook Calendar Sync), for whatever reasons, it just keeps syncing and doesn't stop. I read somewhere that it has got to do with using the calendar widget. Any workarounds aside from uninstalling or disabling the app (I never experienced this in JB 4.3)? Also I have greenify Xperia Facebook Calendar Sync, Xperia Music Likes, Xperia Twitter and Xperia Facebook, but doesn't seem to work.
PS: While I know many might recommend just not using the xperia social apps, instead stick to the original apps, I like to have my stuff a little more integrated so it's easy for me to manage and find things.
My Sony Xperia Z1 running Android 4.4.4 has a major problem synchronizing contacts with birthdays. When editing a contact which has a birthday set, synchronizing will fail.
It will only work if the contact was created on the device or the birthday itself has been changed on the device.
Scenario 1:
1) Create contact with birthday, e.g. in Outlook.
2) Sync it to the Exchange server.
3) Sync Sony Xperia Z1 with the Exchange server -> Contact will appear.
4) Try to edit contact on Sony Xperia Z1 and sync with Exchange server again.
--> Contact synchronization fails.
5) Edit contact on Sony Xperia Z1 and set birthday to another date. Then set original date again.
6) Sync Sony Xperia Z1 with Exchange server.
--> Contact synchronization successful.
Scenario 2:
1) Create contact with birthday on Sony Xperia Z1 .
2) Sync it to the Exchange server.
4) Try to edit contact on Sony Xperia Z1 and sync with Exchange server again.
--> Contact synchronization successful.
Scenario 3:
1) Create contact with birthday on Sony Xperia Z1 .
2) Sync it to the Exchange server.
3) Clear contact storage on Sony Xperia Z1 or remove Exchange account and add it again.
4) Re-sync with Exchange server.
5) Try to edit contact on Sony Xperia Z1 and sync with Exchange server again.
--> Contact synchronization fails.
6) Edit contact on Sony Xperia Z1 and set birthday to another date. Then set original date again.
7) Sync Sony Xperia Z1 with Exchange server.
--> Contact synchronization successful.
I've seen in an online fórum, which is an android issue, puts this:
I was able to resolve this issue in the Android source Exchange app by modifying EAS.java the SimpleDateFormat static method at the bottom of the class
Although google linked to Exchange Date Format in their comment they did not implement it fully. They only used 1 significant digit for milliseconds while the linked site shows three in the example. To their (google dev) credit, the documentation states these digits are optional. When I changed it to use three significant digits for milliseconds it now synchs correctly when creating a new contact with birthday on android device.
change to:
DATE_FORMAT = new SimpleDateFormat("yyyy-MM-dd'T'HH:mm:ss.SSS'Z'", Locale.US);
thanks
What are the steps to edit the file and to get the change to the device?
Thanks for a short description.
Linking fb account
I have linked my fb account with my phone. But the contact pictures is not updating, without contact picture contacts look weird. what is the problem. I am using xperia zr c5502 and he android version is 5.1.1. my phone is not rooted. How my problem can be solved?
Facebook removed that option from their main app. However contact sync is now ported to FB Messenger app and it works fine.
