I have one Samsung 1500mAh (original battery) and three 1800mAh batteries which I bought online from China. The 1800mAh batteries are thicker than the 1500mAh. It seems the Samsung 1500mAh lasts longer than the other three batteries.

I suppose the thicker ones do not fit well with the back side plate.

Original battery has also original quality. These cheap battery's with much mah don't do their job well mostly!
So you can better use a original or one from a good brand than a cheap Chinese one.

6500 mah extended battery and back cover for less than $10?

I have seen those on ebay. Has anybody tried those? Same type of battery costs 10 times more with Mugen.
This may shock you but the Chinese lie about their batteries.

Thanks guys! Something too good to be true I guess.
Actually I bought this battery, cover and charger off ebay 2 weeks ago and imho its awesome, typically my stock battery gives me 7.5 hrs screen time over 1.5 days, the 6500mah battery gives me TWELVE hours screen time over 2 days. I only switch wifi or 3g/4g on when I need them with sync off and this applies to the stock result as well, I know china batteries are usually sub standard and do not perform anywhere near their quoted mah capacity but in this case its pretty good and for £8.50 delivered exceptional value, if I get ONE year of consistent performance I will buy it again.

I believe these have the capacity of two chinese batteries in one, whatever that means. Still it should be better than stock battery.

Mugen is overpriced. Why not Momax? They use LG cells. I've had a fat Momax extended battery on my SGS2 for 18 months and no issues at all. It lasted about twice as long as expected from the numbers.
Really cheap batteries leave me nervous. I sleep with my phone charging next to me and would not like to wake up in a fire or worse.
But Mugen? I'm quite unlikely to drop $100 for a battery. But won't go for $10 ones either. If Momax doesn't release their extended for the Note II soon, I'll just find something similar.

Looks like the cheap battery makers should all raise their price a bit and buyers will flock in.

I purchased two 7600mah batteries for both the wife's N2 and my own off eBay. May not be true measurements, but awesome life when not corded. They were purchased for about $12 usd. All I can say is it might not be Mugen, but close enough for the bang of the buck.

Well, the Veblen effect might apply to extended batteries too. But in general if the difference is too big I tend to suspect that they are using cheap cells and/or lying regarding capacity. It is not always easy to measure the numbers accurately.

Most of the batteries are fake. Its almost impossible to increase capacity without increasing the size of the battery. Also most cheap battries lack thermal capacitors which means they can blast off any moment. A thermal capacitor breaks the connection when a battery is fully charged

From eBay.I am using andida battery 1800mhah for 3 and more months and I'm satisfied.
I'm using one of those chinese batterys "Gold Business 2430mAh" for more than 1 year now. I only use my original Samsung battery in backup. Lasts a bit more than the original one (10hours more?), but it hasn't by far the announced 2430mAh.
In many forum include this the best compatible battery is polarcella akku

Anker is a good brand. Be sure to check out the reviews as well. But I trust Anker and Hyperion, they usually make solid batteries that aren't super expensive.

They go for 15 dollars on amazon.. which is roughly 12 euros.
This link costs 30, so do the math

I'd stay with Anker, Hyperion, or QCell. I've had all three brands on various phones and haven't had a problem with any of them. The Anker ones are just solid and frankly, cheap!
Hyperiob is awful... anker all the way man

Mugen Power 1700mah problem

Hi guys. My mugen power battery 1700mah seems not doing his work
The battery life seems lower then when i had the official lg 1500mah battery, is it possible? I heard that mugen-power batteries were good..

I'll give you the short version.
If you have bought one already, throw it out. If you are thinking of buying one, don't
PS: You could have asked this in some other already-exsisting thread(s).

You probably have a lemon. I bought a cheap chinese 3500mAh battery and it lasts significantly longer than the stock one.

Best External Battery

Please share. What is the best extended battery? That you can charge phone on go and use at same time. Thanks
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda app-developers app
Zerolemon is best for battery life since its 3x the battery power of the stock. But i love the Mugen battery for its NFC that comes stock with it. Rather than wiring an old nfc chip then using copper tape to connect the two contacts. But the mugen is only 6400 mah (twice the size) but the very con for mugen is that its nearly 2 times the price of the zerolemon battery. But if you dont need nfc go ahead and use the zerolemon its a great product from what i see people say.

Another option, since you mentioned "charge phone on go and use at the same time" is Anker Astro Slim 3 external battery (not extended, but external), I reviewed it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2388894
It's a super slim slice that you can use for charging your phone while holding and using both battery and the phone at the same time.
I use a external battery case that takes 18650 batteries so that I can replace the battery when they go bad. I don't expect those cheap external batteries to be of good quality

Yep, that 14000 mAh looks like a beast! You know, sometime companies list their products both on amazon and ebay where from ebay you can buy it internationally when you contact the seller.
