Download links don't work

Suppose this is for unlocked bootloader only?
Sent from my Arc
Yeah.. no way to root without having an unlocked bootloader for the time being
this ain't working.. no superuser; no root!
The binaries are present, download the Super user app, if you have wiped while flashing the ftf file.
Sent from my LT15i using XDA App
Sorry but my Xperia Arc won't boot after flashing this.
So I flashed the stock ROM with Flashtool, and I applied root later via recovery.

IF YOU EXPLAIN HOW TO "DO IT RIGHT" IN THE OP THEN PERHAPS PEOPLE WONT POST SUCH THINGS IN YOUR THREAD.
The first post does not explain the issue of the "missing" superuser which may confuse some people.
Please update the op to include detailed instructions.
Please also refrain from posting requests in the Dev section and then creating a new thread for the files once you have them.

It's not my problem at all.....
If he's going to post files then he has to at least make sure people are aware of the issues they may experience when attempting to use them.
MY problem is keeping these forums tidy and organised....
The reason for my post is that even once the issue was raised the OP made no attempt to enlighten anyone as to why or help them. That is not what XDA is about.

This is the original stock UK O2 firmware for the Sony Xperia T LT30p, version 7.0.A.1.303. Thought id share it as have not seen any firmware around yet in this section. This was pre-installed on my device when I purchased it. Feel free to mirror / extract etc.
This was recently signed on PTCRB:
http://www.xperiablog.net/2012/09/28/xperia-t-and-xperia-tx-firmware-pops-up-on-ptcrb/
I used the following guide to generate it, so it is completely stock:-
http://mytechencounters.wordpress.c...eate-an-ftf-file-of-your-xperia-ics-firmware/
[Root Instructions]
Download the latest flashtool, 0.9.7.0 as of the 28/09/2012, ensure you have the required drivers installed
Connect your device as normal via USB
Select Tools-> Root -> Force AdbRestore hack and follow instructions, remember to actually select restore from your phone
[Download Link]

Without filling this thread up with requests, why dont you just post the link yourself....
Or send it to me and I can add it to the all in one thread if its not already there. And if it is, you should direct people to that thread so we dont end up with lots of "+1, me too please" posts.

Apologies...didnt realise there was a all in one thread. lets keep the link here as the title is about the O2 Bond edition and you could have the link there too.
Thanks to JJD809 who kindly provided the Bond content to me sometime back.
Skyfall Content
Needs root to get the actual theme installed, but can have the ringtone & notification anywhere as usual ringtones and select.
Skyfall.apk needs to be copied to 'system/vendor/overlay/framework' folder and permissions changed and reboot!

OK, I hadnt realised you had just extracted the theme. I though it was a non branded ftf with the skyfall theme. I am not linkinh any themes and apps to the all in one thred as that becomes to much.
It will just be better to upload that to mediafire and share it, otherwise your dropbox account may get banned for over use.
I suggest you share it in the themes and apps section.

Hello nice people of this forum, I've just got myself an Xperia V, running 9.0.1.D.0.10, and is looking for a method to root it without unlocking the bootloader.
I've tried googling it and searching the forums but came back empty. Perhaps some nice person can help me.
Thanks,

If you look in v android development there is an unsecure kernel, but this is for older firmware, maybe it works
Edit: you must unlock bootloader for custom kernel, i do not think bin4ry method works for newer firmwares

So right now, we have no root access without unlocking the bootloader.
Hopefully the genius developers will come up with something soon. A little bothered by the bloatware from my provider.

Hi funiewski,
I have tried rooting by flashing that kernel but I don't seems to get root when I check with the root checker app. Would you be able to advise on this? I would have posted in that thread but apparently I don't have enough post count.

There may be a way to root without unlocked bootloader
Try this well-known way of rooting Xperia AX in Japan.
I guess it's also possible for V to root.
1. Here is a Xperia VL's old rom and you can flash this kernel.sin and system.sin with V's loader.sin.
I can't post the link, but you can find it in uploaded.net. The ID is 3gvvv3w6.
2. Then, Root.
3. Create /data/local.prop (ro.kernel.qemu=1).
4. Flash V's system.sin without wiping.
5. Replace ric, install Busybox and Superuser.
6. Flash V's kernel.sin without wiping.
7. Do Factory data reset to easily delete unnecessary apps.

I dont know about that link, but no one has reported having JB in this forum. The post you linked to was dated 26 Dec so I would expect that ftf's and other discussions would have been posted in this forum and there is nothing. If you could share more on this that would be very welcome
EDIT
It appears that the website you linked to fell for the leaked release that was originally shown on the Vietnam forum. It is the same leaked release we have here and is only shown on a brown device.
As for the lockscreen, I have not managed to get it working. I used the UxpNxtLockScreen.apk but the lockscreen just reverted to the AOSP one and then back to my original puzzle lockscreen after a reboot even though I had renamed that to UxpNxtLockScreen.ori.apk, so I dont know what is going on there.
