My phone is locked!! - Galaxy Ace S5830 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I entered the password pattern several times wrong which made the phone ask for my gmail username and its password which I forgot!
Is there any way I can unlock it?

Go into recovery and factory reset

Sitch off your device and then Press the power button and home button at the same time ...then select factory reset ..and you are done

this tut is for lock phone only that sync to the gmail account, if ur phone hasn't been sync then the only option is to reformat it via ODIN..
yes..just follow this simple instruction..
1. load ur sim card to enable to connect to the internet..
2. press power off and tic on "enable data network"
3. see the status bar if it has a receive packet data.. H/3G/E [any of this as long as it has receive data]
4. log in to ur account..then boom, ur phone is now ok without flashing.

How about recover back your gmail password using your computer.

[Q] Too many pattern attemts!, does not go into recovery mode not sure about adb

Hi,
Got into this mess - Too many pattern attemts!, does not go into recovery mode not sure about adb.
Anyone?
Phones works with Kies and does boot.
Thanks
If you didn't check usb debugging you are lost without recovery.
Edit: what happens if you take out the sim card?

Without sim, booting by pressing up+home+Power causes the phone to loop with the Samsung logo.
Starting normally without sim boots into os and if I connect usb, it displays usb in notification bar - how does the debugging notification looks like? I can also see the internal storage...

Try typing "0000" since it's the default for passwords.
No, it doesen't work. I've read that I can do factory reset but I don't know how if I can't go to the menu because I'm on lockscreen.

It is not FACTORY RESET ! It is just flash...
There's no other way to do a Factory Reset (wipe data partition) other than 3845#*970# or enter Recovery. But as we all already know, there's no key combination to boot directly into Recovery Mode.
BUT, if you have enabled USB Debugging. connect phone to PC and use ADB, and type: adb reboot recovery. This should help.

May have a easier way...but you can do this:
- Shut down your phone
- Hold the buttons Vol up + Home + Power
- You will enter in recovery stock mode
- Select wipe data/factory reset
- Select wipe cache
- Reboot system now
Doing this steps your phone will return in factory pattern.
Wait a better suggestion....sorry my bad english

Wipe data in recovery that should work for you.
Restart your phone and whilst it's going off hold down the volume down button, this will take you to the bootloaader, once in there, select factory reset using the volume keys and power to select, let it do it's stuff, you will need to set the phone back up once it's back on.

A proper factory reset should always result in effectively a "new" phone AFAIK, meaning you should have to sign into your google account (and always has for me). If your google account and lock screen code are still present, this would imply it's not a complete factory reset, so how are you factory resetting the phone? Are you rooted/twrp?

To do the factory reset i have to type in the lock screen code and then the reset begins. So the only layer of security is that i have to type the lock screen code. When setting up the phone again im not asked to write any password. I get the option to sign into a Huawei account or a Google account (same option you get when buying the phone from the store). In what step would i need to fill in the Google account password? Im not rooted or anything like that.

Which bit of settings are you accessing to reset the phone? Should be...
Settings, Advanced Settings, Backup & Reset, Factory Data Reset, Reset Phone
Or via Recovery...
Power off the phone
Next, press and hold the Volume Up + Power button at the same time for a few seconds
Release the keys as soon as the Huawei logo appears on the screen.
Use the Volume buttons to scroll to "wipe data/factory reset" and confirm with the Power key
Once more choose "wipe data/factory reset" from the menu and accept it with Power key
Now accept the "reboot system now" option by using Power key again.
Either way should result in a wiped phone with no lockscreen or google passwords stored.

Thats what im trying to say, lockscreen or google passwords arent stored after factory reset. Im saying that the only security i need to go through to factory reset is to type in the screen lock code. Factory data reset > Reset phone > screen lock code needed > phone gets the factory reset. Im wondering how i can enable the phone to requerie the Google account password if its being factory reset by someone else.

Ah, I get you.
Not possible without a custom rom AFAIK and even then I doubt that would be high on the list of customizations!
Pointless anyway as you can hard reset via recovery which needs neither lockscreen or google password

I thought this was one of the new fancy security features from Google so it would be impossible to use a stolen phone. Same as the Apple-devices have. I must have been mistaken Thanks for clearifying though!

Hmm... I think you're talking about Factory Reset Protection, which needs you to log into your google account after a factory reset. https://www.androidcentral.com/factory-reset-protection-what-you-need-know
You don't need the google password to reset, but you do afterwords.
Don't know/recall if this was active on the P10 though.
