I was under the impression that we weren't separating into different forums. I searched and found an at&t section and a Sprint section. Are we going to be set-up like the galaxy S3 just curious.

It a new year and i officially join the samsung family with samsung captivate.
This might be a noob question, but I'm with Tmobile and I purchased a AT&T Samsung Captivate, can my Tmobile Sim card work on my new phone?
Simply searching will find your answer
"Unlocked Captivate TMobile"
Also, questions should be posted in Q&A, not general.
Thanks for the reply and sorry at posting at wrong section.
Btw you should know you wont be able to use 3g on Tmobile's network.
Yep, Livin' on the "Edge".
Hi, I bought the htc one developer edition.
And I saw that are four different forums for htc one. I get confused, which one is better for seek for information.
I think is the htc one( without carrier). Am I right?
Are the sub forums equal? Can I use rom from att/sprint or t-mobile in the developer edition?
Theoretically you can flash all rom...
Soc is the same...
And a rom for International One (TrickDroid) work on AT&T one
Just don't flash anything from the Sprint forum. There's a high chance that it won't work.
I see a few posts talking about changing Model Id numbers and or converting to a Google edition. Can this be done on the Sprint variant? I'm very disappointed that there are no roms for my phone. I am contemplating returning the phone and getting an S4.
There are roms for you phone in the sprint HTC one section
And to answer you question, no.

Wow do I feel like an idiot. I didn't even realize there was a specific forum for the sprint version. Thanks bud.
Sorry if this has been answered in other posts but I have not been able to find anything specific to the ACTIVE. I have recently been given an S4 Active sgh-i537 from a friend. This S4 is on ATT and I am on Verizon. Is there a way to move it over. I have searched unlocking it and that seems to involve sending my imei number and $39.99 to some place over seas to get an "unlock code" but I don't trust that. The S4 is currently on 4.2.2. Not sure if I root it and install a new rom if that will allow me to move it over to verizon or not. Can someone out there please let me know if this is possible with this phone.

The S4 Active is a GSM phone and will not work on CDMA networks. Only Verizon branded phones or phones that specifically say they work on the Verizon network will work. Verizon and Sprint are the only 2 CDMA networks in the world and require special phones.
thanks
Thats what I was looking for.. Thanks
Currently I have Virgin Mobile, and I've been stuck with the S3 for about 2 years. I want something new and better like the S6 and I can get the T-Mobile variant S6 for cheaper than the MetroPCS, but the question I have is... Can the T-Mobile phone be ported to Metro easily if I switch my carrier to Metro?

Pretty sure the firmware is interchangeable between tmobile and metropcs s6. Tmobile people have been flashing metro pcs firmware to use unlock codes. Do some forum searching just to verify.

I did some poking around the forums already, but being trapped in my Sprint/Virgin Mobile bubble for so long I have not the slightest clue how other carriers work. I couldnt find an answer really so thats why I'm posting directly.
