Does anyone know how you create a sequence mode in Zoe.
Every time I create a Zoe, I edit, select retouch, and then sequence mode. It then starts to process before stating that their aren't enough images.
Yet to get a single one to work.
Anyone been successful or had this issue?
Thanks.
You need to make sure someone is moving quickly enough and also not overlapping between frames it's tricky unfortunately.

Guys, I have a question...Is there any way to speed up the access to Notes on the phone? Whenever I open Notes or, for that matter, try to save a note, I experience a delay of a few seconds with the spinning wheel showing.
I use notes a lot and it really annoys me to have to wait for the wheel to stop spinning each time.
Thanks.
When you do something on an operating system, it usually takes time. Don't you see the same thing on your PC?
i dont get this spinning wheel in notes, if u have more than one app running the same time it may take a while

If you are saving or editing notes that are stored on the storage card, then the speed of your SD card will make a difference.
Set your notes app to stay resident after it is loaded the first time (do this in task manager). Maybe you have something installed causing the problem. Mine loads without the spinning wheel, even during a call.
So maybe it's just me, but I've been taken off guard by the wipe features on the HTC One clearing /sdcard along with the usual user data a few times. It's a bit of a struggle to find your "happy place" after remembering a couple minutes too late that the bootloader unlock actually erases the media storage too...so much for that nandroid backup you made just in case
Luckily, these phones come with all sorts of backup options right out of the box - but these (DropBox image backup specifically) have a few "quirks" that don't really work in our favor. One that especially ground my gears was the fact that dropbox doesn't play nice with the ZOE's filename-based groupings. So now those 12 ZOE shots you had now show up as 252 individual files. Neat.
So, since I'm overall a very lazy person it's safe to assume I had little to no interest in manually renaming each and every one of these files to make my Zoe collections work again. Ain't nobody got time for that. That's exactly what I made this tool to do for me, because hastily writing a few lines of code sounded way more appealing than fixing all those files just hitting the delete key.
Now, I can't reiterate enough that I'm really lazy. That being said, this tool is poorly written. I even decided that it was easier to simply disable the ability to minimize it rather than bother messing with a crash bug related to that option. Don't worry though, there's still plenty of ways to make this program crash horribly.
So without further ado: I made a thingy, and I'm sharing this thingy that I made with you. In case you're stupid about backing up your media storage, like me.
DISCLAIMER: I AM AN AWFUL PROGRAMMER AND I PUT VERY LITTLE TIME OR EFFORT INTO THIS. I ALSO MAY OR MAY NOT HAVE COAUTHORED THIS WORK IN PARTNERSHIP WITH A BOTTLE OF VODKA. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK, MAKE BACKUPS, AND GENERALLY JUST BE READY FOR DISAPPOINTMENT. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING THIS APPLICATION MAY OR MAY NOT DO.
Using this app is pretty simple.
1) Copy your defiled Zoe images to a new folder (I can't promise you that this thing won't screw up, so make sure to work with COPIES of the files!). I didn't trust this with my original backups and neither should you!
2) Open the application and choose the directory that you copied the files to.
3) All the JPG files in that folder will be listed in the upper list, these may or may not be in correct order because the backup function doesn't even name them in a way that always sorts correctly. Focus on one Zoe at a time and use the arrows to put the files from that set in the correct order.
4) Use Ctrl/Shift+Click to select all 20 images from that Zoe's set.
5) Once you've selected 20, the app will try to guess which MP4 file to choose in the box below. This feature is super basic, make sure to double check that it has selected the correct file, correct this selection as necessary.
6) Look in your phone's /DCIM/100media folder to see how high the file numbering goes for the images on your phone. There's a box on the application bottom-right to fill in a number. Type in a number that is NOT already associated with another image on your phone.
7) If everything is selected correctly, the "Rebuild my ZOE" button should become usable. Click it. It should (hopefully) tell you that it has finished working on the selected files.
8) Move the newly renamed IMAGXXXX_ZOEXXX files back onto your phone's internal storage.
9) Rinse and repeat until all your files are renamed appropriately to be recognized as ZOEs.
PS - This application was was written in VB2012 using the .net framework 4.5, if you get errors starting it, make sure you have this framework installed. Source code is available upon request if anyone actually wants to put time into making this suck less, but for me it's "good enough".
Looks very handy.. Thanks

Sorry... That little section made me choke! lol You're a funny guy. I can see this being a useful tool though.
Finding this made my day. Thanks man.
Thanks for this, huge time saver! The little preview is a plus to help weed out any accidental inclusions.
I'm glad you guys found this useful
I'm twice as glad that HTC changed the way the Zoes are saved in the new software release :good:
Hello,
I have 2 questions regarding camera modes and editing on my Note 8. First a little back story – I often take pictures for local car dealers and each car generally gets 100-120 pictures before I go to editing. I generally take all of my pictures with “Auto” filter or as the phone calls it “effect” on. However after taking my pictures, if I were to go and access “My Files” and see the sets of pictures under “camera” I can then modify them again by selecting various effects. When doing so and selecting “Auto” again, the image is saved and almost each time comes out brighter, and in my opinion overall better looking than the original picture (which was also taken with “Auto” effect on). I then end up having to choose the pictures I plan to use from my PC, having to manually re-apply “auto” effect on each picture, and re-upload them.
What is happening here? Is the phone not applying “auto” the first time around as I'm taking pictures? Or is there a double “auto” effect going on here, once at the time of the picture being taken, and once post picture? and if so is there a way to have the 2nd version of the image as the result from the first go at it?
Is there an image editing software / samsung tool that I can use on my PC so that I can instantly apply a certain filter/effect for a batch of files in one shot? Or if not, is there a way to edit a whole folder on the phone itself if I were to isolate the images I wanted edited? Or any other solution so I don't have to manually apply an effect on each image.
Thank You
Hey
I found a bit of a frustrating bug...
I took quite a few burst shots back in July and meanwhile had many other photos done, the problem I have is when I edit the bursts to select which frames to keep and which to ditch, after saving the selection the Gallery app freezes a bit and then it loads the most recent photo I've taken, which means that in order to move on and edit the rest of the bursts I need to rescroll back to them after each save and this makes the whole triage process exhausting to say the least.
Is anybody else experiencing this?
In other words, wouldn't a bursts classification be nice to have in the Discover section of the Gallery? ?
Cheers! ?
I finally received my 4XL and have been setting things up. I decided to take a few test shots with the camera and noticed a strange and concerning issue...
When I take a picture and tap the small viewfinder icon on the bottom right of the camera UI, there is a blurred version of the image and then it just goes black. I can still see the share and delete icons on the bottom but they do nothing when I tap on them.
After about 10 seconds, it will finally load, or I'll have to navigate out back to the camera viewfinder and then back again to the gallery to see the picture I took.
Selfies are even worse (particularly portrait mode). They just disappear after I take the picture and I have to redo the same troubleshooting steps described above. However, I have to wait a full 30 seconds or so before the portrait mode selfie shows up.
I've tried clearing data and cache of both the Camera and Photos app, uninstalled updates, rebooted into safe mode, tried with the stock kernel and Kirisakura, to no avail.
Anyone else having this issue? I'm trying to see if I can resolve this without resorting to a factory reset.
EDIT *RESOLVED*
It was my fault. I had Tasker set to move pictures from the default DCIM folder to a different folder of my choosing, once the Photos app opens.
I guess viewing a picture after taking it is technically part of Google Photos, hence why it was going black (picture no longer exists in that location or not enough time to process the image before it gets moved, thus corrupting the file).
This thread can be closed but I thought I'd share the solution in case the rare chance anyone else has a similar Tasker setup to mine.
