Hello eveyone,
When I press power button while screen-off, it does not wake-up. But screen and bottom soft buttons has light. Then I press power button again and screen-off and then again press power button and problem is gone.
I could not understood what is the problem because this problem does not run in everytime. (may be 6-7 times in a day)
My device is fully original and no custom rom,s-off or root. Could anyone help me please?
My ROM :
RUU_Vivo_Gingerbread_S_HTC_WWE_2.30.405.1_Radio_20 .2808.30.085AU_3805.06.03.03_M_release_199308
same **** here
I am going to try other stock ROMs (Verizon,Asia vs) and then inform you.
Ive used a lot of roms and it randomly happens to me as well. It's something to do with the phones stock CPU setting while it is in sleep mode. Just tap that power button til she wakes up it's all you can do without rooting.
Thanks, how about with rooting?
BTW I don't think that this is a stock rom problem because so many people use stock rom and only two people had noticed so far
I using Anroid Revolution HD and i have same problem, so :S
Really strange, 3 people says that same **** here but no solution. If I know it is a pyhsical problem, I can send to customer service but I have no idea what is the problem
I think it is dude, can u try to contact with them?

Strange, i guess this is a hardware problem
I installed Android Revolution HD 1.1.9 and problem is gone (almost)
Sometimes does (1-2 times in a day)
I set up my CPU with Deamon Controller like this :
Wake State Settings
Wake Min : 537600
Wake Max : 1075200
Wake Gov : SmartassV2
Sleep State Setting
Sleep Min : 537600
Sleep Max : 1075200
Sleep Gov : smartassV2
Looks like a hardware problem
I figured out that if the screen doesn't wake, if you touch it it wakes up.
I have send to HTC service and now waiting for a feedback from service. When I receive any info, i will share with you.
I didnt meet such probs but i thought it a software prob. You can try a factory reset

I guess you are kidding me, factory reset, new rom, custom rom, overclocking etc...
No way to find a solution. I am sure this is hardware problem.
Hi guys
When my TF701 has been on a day or two, when in sleep and looking to wake up By pressing the power button, it can take almost 5 secs for the lock screen to display.
Anyone know why and a possible fix?
Sorted on a reboot.
Cheers.
Owen.

Yeah mine is the same, but then my TF700 does the same thing. I think it takes time to wake from deep sleep. If you had the screen display too quickly then it would be laggy......
Ok makes sense. It does usually come on fairly quick if it's not been in sleep long.

Mine does the same thing. At least since i'm on 4.3.
It might have done the same before on 4.2.2, but didn't take that long. Now i'm always tempted to push the power button again as i think it might not have registered the first time i pushed it.

Same thing here. I can't count how many times I've pushed the button again only to have it then turn on and turn right back off again.

I noticed that the delay is less when the tablet was restarted not so long ago. My tablet was up for 4-5 days when i encountered a very long delay before the screen turned on (about 5 seconds). I restarted the tab yesterday and though there is still some delay, it is only about 2 seconds now.
So rebooting while reduce the wake up lag.

Here too. After the update to 4.3 on my fourth 701 I got a seperate update for the dock to 205 and after setting all up again I perfomed a cold reboot.
Any fix for this? It's the only thing that keeps this tab from being perfectl

Not too big of a problem for me but yes sometimes I'm unsure if I pressed the button correctly and press it again then locks it..
Perhaps a firmware update in the future would fix it. Other than that this tablet basically flies in most circumstances, so much smoother than TF201:good:
Cold boot did the trick for me, restart is less good a solution.

Are you on latest firmware?
I am not sure whether it helped me actualization to last ASUS stock, or flashing CyanogenMOD ROM .... but one of this step is a solution for sure.

I got an update during the last weeks and since this update the problem is solved for me. Wakes up in under 2 seceonds.

I had a similar issue. Pressing the volume up or down button immediately after the power button seemed to improve the wake time. Since the last update and a reboot, the issue is gone entirely for me.
I have to press sleep button for a long time to get my tablet ON or OFF.
Even some times, it does not work.
I have to remove and put again the dock to get my tablet ON.
It seems to occur more often since 4.4 update.
Do you have the same problems ?
Or is it OK with your tablet ?
Thank tou for advance.

Maybe a complete clean/wipe is all you need. I've had that kind of problem before in a frightening kind of way. I was sure the ship was sinking and that solved it.
i just newly flashed the latest ROM last night. The delay is obviously enhanced. It is roughly 1 second to wake up.
I am not 100% sure but guess the delay is related to cached data. Such cached data improve the overall resposivness but resulting a delay to the initial start.
Hey !
After I installed the 4.4 KitKat rom, my phone started to lag when someone calls me. Follow the development thread of your ROM. As you didn't mention which one it is, only you know.
I've read about that issue in the CM11 thread. It will probably be improved soon. You will can post in the development threads after your 10th post.

My wife's S5 fails to wake up after multiple home button or side button presses. Sometimes takes a lot of tries!
Anyone else ?
HTC UltimEight ??
Not experiencing anything like that here. Wakes up the first click every time.
I have this problem too. Are you running ART?
Had the same issue this morning. Took a minute for it to come on.

I did notice a HUGE decrease in wake-up performance while messing with the lockscreen "effects". It seems either using no effect to unlock it, or the watercooler is the fastest (which I like the best anyway).
Also, try turning off the help information and the additional information (such as the weather). The lockscreen weather will effect wake-up time due to it trying to refresh when you wake-up the phone.
I experienced this issue running ART. Been on dalvik since last night and haven't noticed it yet, but it hasn't been long enough to be definitive.
Wow you guys are onto something.
I indeed switched to ART.
Well going back to dalvik to see if it stops.
Thanks guys

2 days with mine and I have noticed this several times, some KK custom ROMs had a similar issue so it didn't really faze me but it shouldn't be there on a factory ROM. It has always come on after 2-3 pushes but again this is a brand new totally stock device so WTF?
It seems like there is a slight delay between button push and screen light up so pushing it the 2nd time actually turns it off. If I wait a very long second it lights up without multiple pushes.
Normally when I power on my Redmi 9, I hold the power button down for a few seconds, there's then a very short vibration and the phone starts up. Today however, I got a long continuous vibration (maybe 10-15 seconds) instead of the brief one, after which the phone started up successfully. I've tried powering off and on a few times since, and most of the time got the usual brief vibration, but did get one further reoccurence of the long vibration.
Does anybody know what (if anything) that long vibration signifies?
In case it's relevant, a few days ago I did install the 2021-06-01 security update. It looks as if Android 11 was also installed at the same time as I now have:
MIUI version MIUI Global 12.0.1 Stable 12.0.1.0 (RJCEUXM)
Android version 11 RP1A.200720.011
Security Update 2021-06-01
Thanks

Thanks. Has it been happening a long while for you, or has it only started recently?
I can't help wondering if the recent security and/or Android 11 updates might be the cause.

Don't bother, I've just tried it and it didn't fix the problem.
For the moment I'll just have to leave it permanently switched on, and use 'Reboot' (which doesn't have the vibration) rather than 'Power off' should I need to.

I'm on 12.0.2.0rjceuxm and nova launcher works fine. First time selecting it though it does make the screen bug out eg. flashes bright and dark continuously until I lock the screen.
12.5.1
Charging while powered off.. works just fine
Yes..when its powered off and boots it does vibrate, but really short
Cheers
Well having finally received 12.5, the problem does (so far) seem to have been fixed.
UPDATE: It appears I spoke too soon. After several days of working OK the long vibration issue has returned.

I figured it out. If the phone is on silent mode and you have start up sounds enabled in the system settings, then you will get the long vibration on start up. When the phone is set to ring, only a very brief vibration but then you get the start up sound.
hey guys , just don't hold the power button more than 4-5 secs
if you hold it more than 4-5 secs it will get long vibrate , just press it for like 3 secs

I've always assumed that the whole point of the vibration is to indicate that you've held the power button down long enough to start the phone. So you should hold it down and then release as soon as the vibration starts. Is that not correct?
