I usually have the same problem with some apks. I think it occurs when we try to install an apk incompatible with Jelly Bean, but I'm not sure.

[Q] Market problem!! Pls help! n00b question!

Hey Guys,
I m very new to flashing. Flashed for the 1st time last nite. Made 2 backups. Flashed Stock JVR. Ten applied SURFACE Rom on it. Then applied PaulGiddy's Theme on it. (Thanx Guys!!).
Now the problem is: I downloaded some apps from the market and it was fine. But Now, Whenever I try to download from the market, error message flashes up saying something about insufficient space.
Maybe it is due to 2 backups in CWM backup, maybe cache, maybe I donno what I m talking about .
Pls Help me out guys.
Sorry for being such a n00b.
Try going into settings/applications/manage applications and wipe market cache, if that doesn't work try wiping one of your cwm backups let me know if it sorts it out

Have you tried going to the market app and uninstall updates and clean data? I've had this problem and it was solved after this.
Go into recovery and wipe cache partition.

im guessing its the new market
Solution 1-Go to manage apps-Market-Uninstall updates and clear data
Solution 2-Needs Root
Flash old market as Zip in CWM
After flashing I always delete /system/app/marketupdater.apk
Finally hit my thanks, before i hit u! loll

[Q] Whatsapp not working

Hi,
my whatsapp says, that I'm using a tablet...is there any solution to solve this? Solving the problem with Titanium Backup isnt really a option for me, because first I would have to install a mod, where whatsapp is working..
greetings
Hey, uninstall the Version you use, go to recovery wipe chache and dalvik Cache, then load new one from the Market.
Had the same Problem few days ago. This should help you.

I am having a similar issue. I've installed and reinstalled WhatsApp several times on my HTC Explorer but it just shows the app start screen and then returns to the home screen on my phone. What should I do to make it work as it was working before I formatted my phone

[Q] Google Play no connection MIUI v5 fix?

Hey guys, I am using MIUI v5 from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2300329 and everything worked really great until yesterday, when Google Play stopped working. Whether I connect over network or wifi, it just gives me an error "No connection" as soon as I click it (google play). What should I do? I had "Freedom" but removed it, and since yesterday google play won't work.
Can anyone help me? I tried to find similar problem from someone else, but wasn't lucky enough to fix it for me. Thanks in advance.

Just tried it, still no connection. To clarify: as soon as I click "retry" button, it kind of refresh very fast with the same message, it won't even try to spin the circle so it would appear as it is doing something, loadin or such. I can't upload a screenshot as I don't have 10 posts yet
Any other solution I could try to fix this? I can't update apps, can't install new ones over play, it's so annoying.

Messed about the the SDcard partitioning and reformatted it then flashed a new copy of the gapp .zip and success! Although i lost my full backup & contacts that was saved on SDcard but that was my own fault for not paying attention Lol.
Fresh backup will be done tonight so i dont have to go threw this process again, spent hours today working it out!
Try different gapps

[Q] Problem updating apps

Hello people! I am an S3 mini owner for the last one and a half year. I have installed CM 11 about 3 months ago and my phone is better than ever. I usually install almost all the daily releases. I 've also installed the latest gapps. The only problem that I am facing lately is that some of the applications cannot be updated. The error message says that there is not enough free space in my device. I have almost 1,5 gb of free space, so I don't think that this is really the problem. Even if I uninstall these apps and I try to install them again, I also face the same error, that there is not enough free space in my device. This hapens with 9 apps. All the rest are updating normally. Do you have any idea what could I do with my problerm? Thanks in advance!
It happened to me once with titanium backup, so I deleted com.kermidas.TitaniumBackup-1.odex from data/app, using root explorer & voila, problem solved

Thank you very much for the response, mauan. I followed your instructions, but the problem remains. I also tried to uninstal Titanium Backup, but neither this prooved to be a solution to my problem... Any other idea?

I would also like to say that the problem with these apps is really strange. Even if I uninstal one of them and then try to reinstall it, either from Google play store or installing the apk that I have already downloaded manually, the problem remains the same: not enough space. The only way to use this app again is restoring a nandroid backup that includes it. Meanwhile, I can install other apps normally, even if they need much more free space.
This problem has started being annoying to me, but I would like to avoid hard reset and setting up the phone from the scratch... Ouf........

Titanium backup was an example for what you need to do with apps that said "no free space". Are you using gapps 4.4.4 or 4.4.3? I can't think clearly at this late hours

OK, I 've understood now. Titanium backup works flawlessly to me, but even trying your example with one of the "problematic" apps didn't work...

I had the exact same problem, but on stock ROM. What I did was I made a nandroid backup, wiped /system , /data and /cache and then restored my backup. When the phone booted up everything was working again and I could update or install new apps without the "no space" message

Thanks for the response, koragg97. I tried restoring a nandroid backup after full wipe, but the problem remains, even with more than 2gb free at the phone memory...

Hello, people! Sadly, the problem still remains. The most usual possible solution I have read is deleting the .apk file from data/apps folder, but it didn't work to me... Any other idea...?
Sent from my GT-I8190 using XDA Free mobile app
Oups! I just understood that I was doing something wrong! I was deleting the .apk filr, not the .odex one. The problem is that I cannot find any .odex files in the data/app/ directory. Does it have anything to do with deodexed rom...? Could I find the .odex files somewhere else? My phone is running on CM 11 20140710 at the momment..
