Hi,
I have a HTC One from O2, and installed Trickdroid on it.
Is it Possible to going back to 100% Factory Look?
I have restore with an selfmade Nandroid Backup, and have installed the Stock Recovery.
But when i lock the Bootloader now, is it fully locked, or did see a Service Store a "relock"?
Is it possible to reset the lock status flag like on this thread? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=38198550
greetings Flo

So i'm going to be selling my One soon. I'd like to wipe everything off the phone and restore it to factory default.
I'm on CWM recovery, and using the google edition ROM.
What do I have to do to restore this baby to out of the box factory default?
Thank you!

You would have to restore a back up to stock rom if you made a back up, or flash a stock rom.
What ever you do, do not wipe internal storage or do a factory reset in CWM (i think that was an option somewhere in there) you will kill the phone like I have..
Or, just sell it as a developer edition version of the mobile.. Problem solved

What do you mean by that?
If you have the unlocked and tampered tags which I assume you do and want to remove them before selling the phone you're going to need to s-off and flash an RUU and then s-on again. The process is nowhere near as simple as just flashing a stock-ish ROM,

Yeah, dont know about that, have not had a chance to go back to stock as phone is dead. What if you lock bootloader again, then it will not be Tampered??
If you sell it like it is, will anyone really notice? You will only see the Tampered stuff if you go into recovery dont you? The buyer may not know how to do this, or if they do, they may be happy its rooted and unlocked..

This guide will walk you through the steps of unlocking, rooting, backing up, etc.
Unlocking through HTC Dev will show on the device that it has been unlocked but if you wish to go the whole way and s-off following this guide you can unlock and if you have to relock at a later stage it can be done without leaving any trace.
Before you do any of this though read all you can about unlocking and s-off.
All,
I am pulling my hair out, I decided to root my phone today so I could delete the default APN's, I have tried CWM and also TWRP.
All was fine, as soon as I installed Busybox something went horribly wrong, my phone will not boot up and just displays the "HTC Logo" I can get to the boot menu and boot to either CWM or TWRP. However there is nothing I can do within there, I cannot find a RUU for my model (CID is Orange) I have found a nandroid backup but CWM/TWRP refuses to see it via OTG and I have tried lots of USB Sticks.
I really do not know what to do next, I cannot turn S-OFF as HBOOT is 1.54
What can I do, I have read thread after thread.
Is there a default recovery.img or one for my carrier as I cannot find it.
Many thanks,
Dale
Managed to restore a nandroid, but I have no touch screen!
Tried clearing cache etc, have currently got a mouse plugged in to it to control it, there is an OTA available so going to try that.

Don't try it with a custom recovery. You'll need to relock your bootloader too.
No touchscreen is a firmware issue. The nandroid you restored will be an old one not compatible with the latest firmware..

Just for now for the sake of getting a working phone I would just flash a 4.2.2 stock ROM, or Sense-based Rom. You'll need to unlock your bootloader again obviously.

Thanks for the reply, was up till 3am trying to get around this and got it going eventually.
That's what I have done for now, I sideloaded a stock Sense ROM which came with a stock recovery.img, guess I have to wait for a S-OFF for 1.54 if it ever happens.
htc one deleted os

Hey guys.
Another one trying to get back to issued state before returning to UK carrier for purple tint camera repair.
I've got my unlocked rooted S-OFFed HTC One M7 phone back to carrier stock Sense 5.5 from a kindly provided TW backup.
The carrier updates are d/l-ing but when it reboots to install it goes into my TW recovery.
I'm on hboot 1.57.
Tried installing stock recovery but I must be missing a step.
1) How to let the carrier Sense 6 updates install automatically?
Thanks in advance.
You will have to get back to stock recovery. It will not load as long as you have anything else.

If you found my posts helpful, Please click thanks :good:
Thank you.
I had to strip a carrier recovery image from a carrier RUU and now all the carrier system updates are installing.
Just a few more tidy up steps and I can return to the carrier for repair with a clear mind ... maybe!
Regards to all.
ok i have made a mess of my phone and am hopping that someone can help me sort it out. i am newbee to this.
i bought an htc m8 on sprint from ebay and shipped it over to ireland. so in order to try and sim unlock it so i could use it on networks over here i did a small bit of reading (not enough as it turns out). i unlocked the bootloader and flashed twrp recovery for sprint. i then downloaded a new rom thinking that it would also unlock my sim. i wiped my phone system before flashing the new rom but forgot to make a backup of my stock rom so there is no going back for me to that. so the way i sit at the moment i managed to get cm12 nightly to work its rooted with s-on.. i tryed using sunshine to s-off but it tells me i need to install a rom closer to stock. any rom i install wont work and i just boot back into bootloader.. i would like to get s-off if thats posable now and also install a rom that looks more like htc stock with sence on it...
thanks in advance
If you go to the HTC dev website, you can download an RUU to get back to Stock sense. Then after that you can S-Off and root and do all the other stuff you wanted
