I have unlocked and rooted and installed a recovery, but i aint sure if i can just flash a rom, or also need to flash a firmware.
Or does the firmware get updated when you install a rom?
I have:
CID HTC__102
Firmware: 1.28.401.7

I have a htc one WWE (htc_001) and i must send it to SAT to repair?? the gap between aluminium body and plastic but the phone is rooted with custom rom(arhd 6.2) and upgraded just with the radio 1.29.401.12. Any solution to relock the phone and put stock(ruu 1.28.401.8 and recovery.img)?? thanks in advance
Regards
up
To go back to stock, you need to run RUU, but I don't think there's a RUU for htc__001 at this moment. Moreover, even if you relock the bootloader and flash the stock rom, it'll still appear as relocked.

Yeah. Just stuck my radio img in the new installer. Check your baseband and compare to new radio listed on radio thread. Definitely the old radio.

I'm looking to flash stock to S-Off my device. I found the stock rom that came with my phone (1.29.401.13), I tried to flash it in CWM, but didn't work. So what steps do I need to take to get back to stock? :S
CID:1.29.401.13
MID: PN07100
Thanks!
Edit : deleted

Your CID isn't 1.29.401.13, it'll be something like HTC__001. What HBOOT version do you currently have?

You can install stock Rom whether the phone is s-on or s-off as long as it's the same as the current firmware or newer

Yes, but it won't really *really* be stock unless it's stock for your region. And you can only do that if you can find a RUU for your phone (matching CID).
As title,
Is it possible to flash a stock 4.2.2 rom on this hboot?
Wanting to downgrade my hboot but do not want to have a soft brick afterwards, so I want to have a ROM and recovery on there already compatible with the downgraded hboot.
Thanks

Got one, I'm just scared of bricking my device again as I tried flashing firmware from 3.xx to 5.xx and ended up bricking it.
Will this happen on the way down too?
Is it as simple as flashing firmware.zip, then a custom recovery and then a custom rom or guru reset?
Hi everyone. I've got this odd problem with updating my HTC m7 to android L. I downloaded the file with 7.19.401.102 firmware number and then flashed the stock recovery from 6.09.401.111 stock ROM which I'm currently running on my phone. I started the installation and after some time the red triangle showed up and after restarting the update file was deleted... My phone is rooted with ElementalX kernel... Have I done something wrong? What should I do before updating(unrooting, going completely stock...)? Is this the right firmware for my phone?(my cid and mid are mid:711000 and cid: HTC__J15), if not, can someone tell me the correct firmware?
Can someone make a nand backup from 7.19.401.101 and upload it somewhere?
I'd appreciate any help... Thanks

You must be 100% stock rom (stock /system and /data/preload) + stock recovery.
restore your phone using a stock rom or nand for 6.09.401.111

Should I relock my bootloader as well? BTW I'm S-ON.
One more question, can you check if the firmware I'm running matches my cid and mid?

Yes it matches... you are s-on btw how could this not match:
You can't change cid
you can't change mid
you can't change firmware base.
?

Thanks for responding so quick. One more question, should I stay unrooted after flashing nand backup until I've updated my phone?

yes you should. anyway you 'll need to update supersu once updated. Otherwise root will not work.
So
restore your phone to stock rom + stock recovery
update
flash twrp
flash supersu 2.16

sorry I kept asking about the firmware, it's because I was using a costume ROM for a period of time and I had no band backup from the stock ROM and I had forgotten my stock firmware number...
Anyway, thank you very much sir
I will try and report back
Should I also flash the firmware zip of my stock ROM or it's not needed?

if your firmware is already 6.09.401.111 (fastboot getvar all) you don't need to relfash it, just flash the 6.09.401.111 rom.
