Does the error appear on the phone or your PC?
The ERROR shows up in my PC!
make sure that the debugging mode is working then when you connect your phone check the notification bar and slide it down then click USB connected and i hope it will work
you may also want to check if the latest drivers were installed correctly on your win machine - if not try to re-install from scratch
nothin happens to my phone.! When i connect my phone to the PC... i get nothin from the phone.... the phone just starts charging... thats it.!! nothin is displayed in the phone or the notification area or not even the debugging mode starts! As soon as i connect my phone to the USB, windows displays that the phone has malfunctioned.!! I even Tried re-installing WIN7 and also a factory reset to my Phone.! No use.!!
And i have installed the latest drivers in my PC....
My galaxy ACE works fine when i connect with the PC.! But not my I9000.!

can you get into 3BR or download mode?
I can get into download mode
See if you are able to find a copy of this app "SAMSUNG USB Driver for Mobile Phones" download and install on the comuter that you will be using
Allow the app to completely run as it does take a while to install if the computer is a bit slow.
Then try odin
Also make sue that Kies is not runnning a background process (use task manager)
If you are unable to locate the app PM me and i will upload as soon as i get a chance
Did that few times in a few different pc. win7 and xp.
Nothing.
sorry out of ideas
Maybe the USB jig??
Nope
Thank you anyway. I'll keep trying solving.
Have you plugged your phone to PC before? If no that why it couldn't recognize. If yes go to buy a new phone ). Just kidding, I don't know why it was like that. Did you try another USB wire?
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda premium
On my PC i pluged before , but on other pc's i'v install the drivers before plug him.
Also try another USB wire , cable ...
For sure i know that its problem came frome the win , cuz the phone is in dm he never get breake so i dont need to use the jig even.
CM9 = Galaxy Nexus Drivers
I had cm9 + sdk but i needed die drivers via Setup.exe
Hi everyone, I have the same problem as shown below, my phone is stuck in lg logo bootloop and the only thing i can do is enter in download mode, no recovery mode, no normal mode, etc. but my usb isn't recognized in windows nor in linux, i've tried 3 different cables and 4 diferent pc's and nothing. could this be a physical problem? i did the steps below.

1-uninstalled kies and installed again
2- installed driver again
3-tried on other PC
4-re installed windows seven on laptop
5-changed cable
6-formatted my sgs 2 times

run through the MY Android Solutions link below, have listed all your options therein
thanks but it doesn't work for me, i think it's a usb connector pin problem or something, but i'm afraid of buying one and brake the phone soldering the connector.... any other option to check if the connector is broken?
thanks.
Do you can go to the download mode? Try with odin on PC.

I understand but sometimes you can't connect whit PC but whit Odin its doing. (Sometimes)
Start Odin with Windows and try it.
Very important - your phone must bee on the DOWNLOAD MODE. If its not doing your USB Connector on the phone its defect.
I have same problem having 6 months ago.

Are your drivers installed? Install those, connect the phone so the pc to recognize the phone and begin install of drivers for it. When you plug in the cable be sure to be in download mode, you need the mtp driver to be installed. Remove the fone when it finishes.
After you install the drivers open odin add the files and only after plugin the phone in download mode. It should be ok then.

It's not driver problem. I've flashed with odin and heimdall a lotof times. The phone failed to recognized time ago but when rebooting aleays solved thw problem, not this time.i get error code 43. If i force driver install i get error code 10 in device manager
Try to remove the drivers first. After that close the pc, remove the power cord and hit the on button. It will discharhe any charge left in your sistem (it will reset your usbs). Plugin the cord, open the pc normaly and then reinstall the drivers.
Put the phone in dld mode and see what happens.
Hope u resolve ur problem this way.

Hay guys i have a problem with my smartphone! I went out my cell phone in the download mode, and since my computer no longer recognizes the phone! Even when I turned on the phone, the computer recognizes the phone no longer charges it but! Please help!
when you can turn it on how can it be a brick
If you opened it in download mode, then how could you be able to switch it on normally. Under my knowledge, once the phone is in download mode, it can not be switched on either normally or in recovery, but only in Download mode. And if you have that Download Mode, your device is Not Bricked. As far as with pc not recognizing your phone, download latest drivers

If u cannot charge via usb cable and can turn mini on then ur device is not bricked , get a new usb cable

Well My sister and her boyfriend were trying something whit her phone, I dont have a clue what the hell they were trying, at the end of the day, she comes to me with her LG P970H with the screen S/W Upgrade please wait while upgrading.
I try to Connect the Phone to the PC with the battery and The Pc makes a Sound and says that the USB is not recognized.
I connect the Phone without Battery And the same happens, Sound and not recognized.
Connect Pressing the Vol - , Same happens
Connect Pressing the Vol + Same Happens
Connect Pressing the both buttons with and without the battery Same Happens.
Allright then its the drivers, I go Ahead and download the Lasted Usb Drivers from LG, Try again and nothing new happen.
Download some Old Usb Drivers, Same thing nothing new happens.
Why and When does the S/W upgrade Please wait while upgrading screen appears. I think I can install another OS or make a Hard reset on the Phone if i can get the PC to Detect it. Its not the Cable and its not the PC. Tried 3 diferent cables and 2 pcs and a Macbookpro. I live in mexico and im phone company its TELCEL if that helps.
It appears as soon as i turn on the phone.
PD: please if you know what im dealing with , write the answer for dumb people like me, its hard to know what you are talking about when using names like ST, KDZ and stuff and english its not my mother languaje so dumb it for me. THX!
You must read this.
And you need the bin and fls from KDZ to extract and root your device(if you want it rooted). Since here you should look for yourself.
A soft reset is keep pushing Vol+ + Power for 5 secs.

I think the phone was rooted i really dont know i think they were trying to update the system. I tried the Soft Reset Nothing happens, I think its not charging anymore it will only turn on when i connect the Usb cable. I tried removing the battery for 10 mins and tried again all steps. My Problem its that the pc Detects that theres an Usb, but it wont recognize it.
After i plug in the usb cable to the phone and i disconect it, it will remain with S/W upgrade screen for a few seconds before turning itself off. I cant turn it on by the power button.

Like i said i have downloaded old and new ones Usb Drivers for the LG but it still wont detect it.

And if you connect it to the PC normally?
Does your device manager show nothing at all, or does it maybe show unknown devices and you only have to install the drivers manually?

I had similar Problem when using a 64bit-os. if so, try to reboot with disabled check for Driver-signature.
Just press F8 during bootup. if you get a promt fo selecting boot-device, press enter and quickly hit F8 again.
when System is booted remove the Batterie, press and hold vol+ and connect to usb (Batterie is still removed)
now my OB was detected with S/W Upgrade Mode

It says Usb Device Not Recognized, Unknown Device, One of the Usb Devices has Malfunctioned and Windows Does not Recognize it.
I have tried to Install Usb Drivers and everything and The pc Still Recognize the Phone. The SFT has no comunication Device because the pc its not recognizing the usb so i cant do ****. xD

Nope, Didnt work i even uninstalled the Drivers and Reinstalled both old and new usb drivers for the phone and rebooted each time to see if it worked. Same problem. Dont know if this is important but the S/W update screen appears without pressing the Vol+ or Vol - or both.

Are You sure you disabled Driver Signature Enforcement.
this must be done every reboot you do or your phone will not be recognized in S/W Upgrade Mode. After flashing with SFT it is not needed. Only for flashing in S/W Upgrade Mode.
The currently available drivers work fine with x64...
I never used SFT on x86, and I never had a problem. I didn't even need to disable driver's signature enforcement, ever.
What's weird here is that his phone boots in to S/W upgrade mode without any key press. It seems to me that now you got there a flashlight...lol
