good morning guys, how did you clean your one? After one week of use, I have all the 4 back corners on the plastic stripes black, probably is the cover I use. Can I use alchool, or anything else? I've tried with soap, but nothing.

I typically use screen cleaner and a microfiber cloth. Spray the screen cleaner on the cloth first and then use it to wipe down the phone. Alcohol wipes should also do the trick :good:
I have had mine weeks and it's perfectly white. My mates is also white. We don't use a cases.

Yeah, probably was that case, but with alcohol it seems to be cleared again!

At least then there would be no issues of what color is it etc.

Mine's perfectly plain white after one month of usage. In and out of my jeans pocket hundred times a day. I'm using the meifeng cover, which is open at top and bottom. I'd use a wet glasses cleaner which shouldn't harm the plastic surface.

OK this a little home discovered trick by me to make the screen touch smoother .
Here's what you need
1 a capacitive touchscreen phone (SGM)
2 a screen protector (This works only for those who have screen guard )
3 some water
4 a smooth piece of cloth
5 some talcum powder
Instructions
1 you need have screen guard applied on your phones screen
2 now just put a few drops of water on the screen and spread it with your fingers
3 now just wipe it with the smooth cotton cloth
4 now take very less powder and wipe it all over the screen with your fingers until the screen becomes clear again
5 blow off excess water and wipe with dry cotton smooth cloth very lightly
6 just use your phone as you normally do
7 you won't feel the effect immediately but after a few minutes of using the screen and going through the initial drags your screen will be a lot more smoother to touch.
Do thank me if this worked for you

thanks for share bro
it's really usefull for me
interesting trick. I guess you can do this operation to the screen guard, just before you apply it, so you avoid any damage to the phone.
Talcum powder can, in an extent, polish your screen protector so it becomes smoother.
You can also try a VERY small amount of Displex paste.
Thank you

They mean from the inside
They mean dust getting into the phone and messing things up. I once had a grain of sand get into my Xperia S camera shutter button and fudged the button up real nice. Luckily it dislodged itself and the button went back to normal.
It's the damn screen protector. I'm going to remove it and put a SPG one.

The shatter proof layer (as they call it) is a massive dust collector.
I removed mine & no dust since.

Do anyone know,
is there a dust protection over the speakers from the One?
I work with alot metal and i am afraid that from grinding metal the speakers will get full of iron dust in no time.
If this dust will get into speakers trhu the holes i assume the working will be less.
If there is a protection maze between the holes and speakers this would prevent getting the iron dust in the speakers.
I doubt their is any protection, as you can buy a new speaker grill, it`s just held on with glue, also the magnet in the speaker will attract the iron fillings, maybe you can keep your phone in one of those waterproof plastic case, as a normal phone case will offer little protection.
John.
I think there is some sort of protection. According to the ifixit teardown:
http://d3nevzfk7ii3be.cloudfront.net/igi/No6NcTy3P1xTO64i.medium
I see some black tape thing covering the speaker grills. Can someone confirm?

I have my phone always in my pocket, and dont want a case becouse the use of the car dock.
I had a One X for 1 1/2 jear and with this phone it was going well.
With my new one the speakers become cracking after 1 week. I sended the phone back.
My phone is swapped for a new One.
So i dont know what the real defect was. But it was swapped under warrenty, so i dont think it was the influense from outside that broke my speakers. But i just want to be sure, dont like it to send this One back also after a week or so.

It's very easy to replace the back glass that does include a new lens. If it bugs you that much that's an option.

You have to heat up the back then the adhesive comes loose, make sure you order a back glass that has the adhesive already applied and then you reheat that when you put it on. I did it on my Xperia Z and it worked fine. It's basically just a piece of waterproof tape that keeps the water out.
Or mayb you can use some p2000 waterproof sandingpaper and allot of patients? Don't know for sure, replacing is always possible...

I meant obviously sites where the back cover comes with adhesive on.. but at that point I will ask the seller himself. thanks bud!
No probl.
Can you mayb try to polish the back after removing? I am quite anxious to know if it would work, in that case 1 can pollish the whole phone, also the frame (to end up with an mirror/chrome finish)?

Hi!
I ordered this (http://www.aliexpress.com/item/for-...cover-back-housing-back-glass/1603707841.html) back plate two weeks ago and it arrived yesterday, my old one was broken.. I don't know if it's glass or hard plastic, but it's holding up great without any protection!
There is no shatter film on the backplate, so I think its not original but OK.
It was very easy to take the old one off; just some heat, a sharp knife and a guitar pick did the trick.
The new one came with adhesive, and after cleaning the frame it went right on!
All in all very nice, and easy install, may be original, may be not.
Press thanks if I helped you

Hi!
For copyright issues it's blurred on the site, but it's there. First I was worried about the quality of the logo's and branding, but when it arrived, all the logo's (Sony, Xperia, NFC icon, G camera icon) were all very crisp and detailed!
It looks like the real deal
I need to protect my M8 from some sprays of water. Is there any (cheap) sachet that brings water restistant feature to the One M8? I know that it's IPX3 rated, but i don't want to risk... i need it for the last day of school!
are there any waterproof cases for the m7? I couldnt find any. doesnt seem like they would make one for our m8's either

Zip-Lok Freezer bag. If you're really paranoid, double bag it. Key there is Freezer bag, and not sandwich bag, those are thinner.

Honestly, when I go to the beach, if I've got a bluetooth speaker for music, I just use a thin zip-lok sandwich bag. Keeps off the sand, and any water on my hands from the ocean. And its thin enough to still use the touchscreen just fine. Dunno if the freezer bags will still let you use the touchscreen. Probably. The M8 screen is pretty sensitive.
