[Q] Bravia Engine and Unlocked BL

Hi,
I'm new to this whole Android thing, recently bought an Xperia T and looking to have a fiddle about with it.
My question is, I've read on these forums that if I unlock the bootloader, Bravia Engine will no longer work because I lose DRM. But if I unlock it, mess about with some custom ROMs, then relock the BL and update via Sony PC Companion, will Bravia work again?
Also, can I just flash any stock .ftf to re-lock the bootloader or does it have to be one to specifically re-lock?
I guess what I want to know is aside from voiding the warranty, will unlocking the BL do anything permanent and non-reversible to my phone?

Hmm, so just unlocking the bootloader screws up Bravia and means I might never get it working properly again even if I re-lock and return to stock firmware?
Guess I'll keep it locked for now, thanks
Rooting has no effect on it though, right?

Yes, sweetie, yes. Root itself does NOT threat your Bravia Engine. Its all start when you unlock your bootloader.

So if i have unlocked my bootloader is there anyway to relock it?

I found how to relock it but I want bravia engine back ..
is there anyway to get it BACK ?

I had already rooted my z1 when on 4.2.2... But now the 4.3 updates removed the root... Unlocking bootloader ia only option as far as I know.. So I want to ask is..
A) if I unlock bootloader will I loose xreality engine? If yes how do I save that from not happening..
B) is there a "stable" way to install CWM recovery amd not unlock bootloader..? Is there is.. Will mybstock features be affected such as loss of xreality n DRM keys?
C) is there a way to unlock bootloader without looaing DRM keys? If so again will I loose the z1 features?

A) if you unlock bootloader you WILL loose xreality. To get it back restore backed up TA partition. You can't have unlocked bootloader and xreality at the same time. Here is a video on how to get full root on 4.3: http://youtu.be/1aq9YTlfCgc
B) Yes you can install the recovery on any rooted Xperia Z1. You don't need an unlocked bootloader to be rooted.

C) You will always loose DRM keys when unlocking but you can back them up before unlocking to restore them later

Leave bootloader unlocked or relock it?

Hey guys I got a simple question about the bootloader on the XZ. I just unlocked the bootloader after keeping a backup of my TA partition and rooted the stock. 101 firmware. What I want to know is, do I lose anything (except Bravia Engine and TrackID). Reason I am asking is that I saw a discussion about camera quality being lower on unlocked BL. Is that legit?
Another quick question:Is there any way I can go from locked to unlocked BL and vice versa without using a PC? That would be very convenient.

sorry sir..as i know,camera's quality down on 4.3 version..i use bootloader unlocked on 4.2 version and i don't lost my camera's quality

How are you guys i have Sony c6603 10.4.1.b.0.101 4.3 and i need more things
1- i need root without unlock bootloader
2- if i must to unlock bootloader to root can i find way to relock bootloader? And can i restore Bravia engine when i relock automatically!
3- when i unlock bootloader the Bravia engine will lost? Can i backup and restore it again

You cannot root without unlocking the bootloader.
See How to root 4.3 for instructions on what you must do in order to keep BE2/DRM keys etc.

can some one tell me that can i use x-reality engine after unlocking bootloader?
i know bravia engine effect will b lost for images after bootloader is unlocked
and also bravia engine effect is not there in stock 4.3jb 201
I m on existanz 3.3.0 and bootloader is locked
but want to know that after unlocking bootloader can i still get the X-reality effect via this existanz rom?
