Hey guys! Well as the title says...is it possible to use i8190 kernel on L version (i8190L)?
I've seen around another thread a guy who was using i8190 kernels on his i8190N (NFC version) without problems...i would try it but i want to make sure if my phone can be bricked or something like that :silly:
Dont think it would hard brick your phone.. Maybe a soft brick were you would have to reflash csc, code and pit files via odin...

Thanks man, but my question is regarding custom ones :good:
***GUESS WHAT GUYS*** It's Working!!!
Hi guys, i got an GT-I9305N and i'm wondering i can flash cwm as GT-I9305 by using the Rom Manager app? if not, do you know any tutorial/guide out there? i tried to search on xda, google and when i search like: GT-I9305N clockworkmod recovery for example... every results shows for I9305 only. Or maybe my phone is still not supported by clockworkmod yet ?
Yes.
Thanks, and do you know if I can nandroid backup current stock rom on the phone or is it only supported for custom roms, and I'll end up on bootloop?
Sent from my GT-I9305N using xda app-developers app
Yes.
actually, no. you can back up your stock rom just fine
guys! everytime i update my custom rom i lose my data [application not messages] plzzzz helpppp
and if i want to go from custom to stock rom how to i do it ?? is like normally using odin ????
and one last question when will the andriod 4.2..2 come for s3 mini ?????
Use Titanium backup for aplications. After flashing you need to restore them to new rom.
You can read here about going back to stock rom. It is not for your phone but it is a procedure.

Would it work if i flashed a S5830 or S5830i ROM on a S5830d ? Would it brick my phone or mess it up?
Thanks

Well the model 5830 is different then the 5830i. Flashing a rom on one that was meant for the other will result in a bricked device. I've never heard of a 5830d do you have the box for it?

You should learn to read the help section before posting. The S5830, S5830D, S5830B, S5830L and S5830T are the same device just diffferent revisions and ROMs and things are interchangeable.
The S5830i, S5830C and S5830M are different devices from the ones listed above and flashing ROMs made for them on to the devices above and vice versa, will brick your phone.
So to answer your question, flashing a S5830 ROM to a S5830D is ok, but flashing a S5830i ROM to a S5830D is NOT ok.

They look pretty nice! Thanks
However, when I flash the ROM, I understand that you should back up and wipe your phone. Does this mean that when I use the new ROM, I will have no contacts or anything?

Yes. You won't have any contacts on new rom. To backup, go to contacts »» Press menu button »» Import/export contacts »» Export to SD card. After flashing the new rom, do the same but this time select import from SD card. And yea, there's always a button to say thanks. Hit it.

Yes. But you can backup apps. There are many ways. You can use ES file explorer to backup in case you just want the app & not the data. In ES file explorer, press menu »» app manager »» select the apps you want to backup & select backup. Installable apps will be stored in the backups folder in SD card. In case you want even data to backup, use titanium backup.
