Anybody seen this before? When I power on my Touchpad, I get a Box like a Battery with a ? Mark

Update:
Also tried
Charge the tablet to 100%. Use the wall charger. If you have a touchstone, you can use that too.
You might have to leave it charging for 24 + hours.
Once charged, hold power and volume up buttons together till you get the screen with the usb symbol. Once you have that, follow this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1426244
That step failed as well.
Please do let me know what I can try next
Thanks

Hey Guys,
yesterday my Touchpad was shut down because the battery was empty. So I charged it over the night. But today morning it isnt starting like the other times. The homebutton is flashing from left to right... Home + Power button dont work. Sometimes if I do the trick "cable in, power and homebutton holding, cable out still holding" came the battery with the question mark for 0,5 seconds... Is it dead?...
Charger is hp original. Cable not.
please help...

No it's not dead. We're lucky, the tp is hard to kill, thanks to webos .

It's a pita, but it works. If you have a problem with novaterm, there's a good workaround on page 12.
Good luck.
Thanks for your answer. How I can know if my tp is fully charged?
And the combination dont work. No reaction.

You have to let it charge for a long time. It takes a real long time to recharge after it's gone to empty.
Make sure the charger is alright (sometimes all it needs is a twist to set it right).
If you can, change the cable.
The tp will be charged enough when pressing the power and volume up buttons together brings up the usb symbol (webos recovery). Hold them for over 15 secs.
Good luck.

Excatly the same problem. Exactly the same ROM.
Trying your advice.
EDIT: It came back to life by itself.
I apologize for bumping an old thread
I just came into ownership of 2 of these without an OG charger and they are flashing left and right... Any advice?

The home button flashing left to right means the battery is charging but has insufficient charge to boot.
You need a charger, preferably the original one, but any mains/AC charger that kicks out 2A at the right voltage will do.
Leave the TP charging and eventually it should automatically boot into the default OS - may need 24 hours or more...
Cheers
Hello guys,
I need a help, to save my precious Nexus One...
Until yesterday, it was working perfectly, but earlier today, did not work more...
When connecting the charger cable, the green light turns on only if I press the back cover of the nexus!
I've tried turning it by all means: take and put the battery, press the volume button down, press the ball vol (-) + power button. dont work!
I used the USB cable to the computer, and does not work ..
Is completely dead, the only light he shows, is that I quoted above, loading ..
ps: it is rooted
Thx for any help!

I'm not sure but i guess your battery might have drained fully.
Try charging it for a while (10-15 min), you should see the orange color charging indication.
Or if battery is already charged, .. you can try getting into bootloader mode by pressing the "power + volume down + track ball button".
If you get here.. then only something can be done.
your powr button is damage. plug ur mobile with data cable, when u see the charging light, pull out your battery and then again pull in.
you can up new rom

Did you get this to work?
Based on your post count, this is probably a stupid question but:
You tried charging in an outlet (not through computer), right? Any under-the-hood work makes my Bionic run hot and burn through the battery.
More technical: I read somewhere that someone upgraded to windows 8 and fastboot stopped working. Windows 7 fixed the problem (if you're saying that fastboot is the problem, not Vol - & power button recovery mode).
Were you in the process of rooting?

I am kind of having the same problem. I recenty got a droid bionic where I had to replace the LCD screen and battery since when I got it it did not have a battery with it. I got an NON-OEM extended battery and every thing was working fine for three days. In that time I was able to upgrade everyting to the latest software, fireware, and Android version (4.1.2 JB) but after those three days the phoe woould not power on. When I plugged it into my computer and tried, the white power light would just blink at me. when I unplugged it from the computer and tried it would not even come on. I thought it was the battery so I sent it back and got an OEM extended batter and a OEM dock/charger. When I got everything I plugged it all in and the screen came on with the Motorola M logo and then showed me a picture of the battery at 5%, so I let it charger over night. In the morning I pressed the power button while still plugged into the charger, the phone light up saying the battery was at 100%. So I took it off the charger and tried to power up. Nothing happened. I plugged it into my computer and the white power light came on and stayed solid but still no power-up. I just tries the Volume Up/Down power while plugged into the wall charger and I can get to the recovery screen and try the normal boot up, I get the Motorola M Logo screen, I just now tried recovery and the little Droid just showed up with its stomach with a red triangle and an ! in it and is just sittin there. and now it when back to the Motorola M Logo screen then the battery screen. Does this mean mine is bricked as well? Please some one help.
Bumping because of no help yet. I can access the recovery screen but does not seem to help any, it also has to be plugged into the wall charger for this to happen but I can not power it up whether it is plugged in or not. Please Help someone so I can get this figures out.
Alright strange thing to try, plug it into your computer, while plugged in take it the battery, give it a minute and put it back in while still plugged in.

Did as you suggest but when I took out the battery. the white light stayed on. Still could do nothing. Waited 2 minutes, put the battery back in and still nothing. All I get is the white light staying on. I unplug from the computer, the light turns off and still nothing, not even the recovery screen will boot up.
Can you get to the fast boot option by holding both volume buttons and power

As long as I keep it plugged into the wall charger I can. When I go there it says "Battery Low Cannot Program Connect USB Data Cable. But as soon as I unplug the wall charger it shuts off and I can not get back to fast boot. When I plug it into the USB cable and plug into the computer, I can not get to fast boot. I just check and it says my battery is at 100%. but when I first plug it in it says 5%.
Your gonna need to charge your battery with either an external charger or the usb charging hack before you can perform an fxz on it

hey guy's i haven't played around with my touchpad in over 4 months...recently i have tried turning it on and it was completely dead...so i plugged it in for like 3 days..still nothing..

i plugged it to my pc and tryed the volume up trick.he pc seems to recognize it in the device manager..see on pic.
so whats the next step?is the an app to install on pc like odin??

can u pm me what u used to get it working thanks
Unplug your tablet, then hold in Power + Vol Down + Menu. After 10 or so second the Touchpad should turn on and show the AC plug. Plug it into the AC charger and let it charge. If the Touchpad was completely dead and didn't have any charge whatsoever (you say that you've been charging for 3 days), you would want to charge it for a few hours first. It charges extremely slow in a powered-off state and likely won't get much more power than is required to boot into the low battery mode even after 3 days of charging while off.

Yesterday my Atrix hd just went black in the middle of text message. Ive tried to hold down the power button and volume keys. Ive tried to hold down the power button and volume up button and the power button and volume down button. Nothing worked. Tried several different charges and this still didnt work. Finally i watched a video on how to remove the battery and when i did that and plugged the phone back in the green indictor light comes on but nothing else works. I have the cynafox 4.4 rom on the phone. Is this phone fried?? Can something be done???
Your description sound like it's fried (a.k.a. hard bricked). If you can't get it to boot on (even to a black screen), I believe your phone has moved on to a better place. If so, I'm sorry for your loss

Leave it on the charger for a while, it may not have enough charge to boot. Then try the power + v salute..
I'm having the same issue light was blinking but now it stays on solid
