I have a S3 mini GT-I8190N and i would like to root it. can i use the method i found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2108900 ?
when i have a look at my baseband version, it says I8190NDXLL7. i don't know if it is the latest one or not because not much i find when i tried to google it.

Please see teh first thread in this forum it has links to many relevant articles that you might want to read...
I couldn't get all what you mean but here goes it...
To keep your phone memory empty you can move apps to sd-card...Learn more at http://yagyagaire.blogspot.com/2011/09/how-to-install-applications-to-sd-card.html
If you are looking for Samsung Firmwares latest is 2.3.5 (not Official for all regions). There are many custom roms (not by sasmung) available to install and most of them are based on GB 2.3.4 (so they are also like latest). Please find more info in their threads in Development section of Galaxy Mini forum.
Updating will remove all your apps, settings, data, etc. and install a new firmware. So, it is a most to do a backup of your apps, contacts and other data first. You data on sd-card will be safe.

man
i upgraded my phone using 1 file method
i sucessfully updated it
now theres a problem
im unable to root my phone by superoneclick
plz help me
Nothing offensive but that's why noobs shouldn't root their phones.
What android version do you have btw?
If it's 2.3.4 you could try yagya's tutorial on his site: yagyagaire.blogspot.com/2011/08/how-to-root-samsung-galaxy-popmini.html
If it's lower, you should consider flashing 2.3.4.

I just bought a bunch of tabs for my business. I rooted one before I updated it and it worked fine, but wouldn't update. I then updated one and now it won't root.
I'm really a total noob when it comes to rooting. I haven't even touched flashing. I would rather keep it as stock as possible. I'm mostly rooting it to remove bloatware. Anyway, if anyone has any ideas, please help.
I've run superoneclick 2.2 and run zergrush, but that seems to stall out.
Currently, the only way to root 2.3.5 is to flash a pre-rooted rom. I'm using "Galaxy Cubed" you can find it under dev section.

I hate to ask, but is there a decent guide to doing that? Also is the process reversible?

Here is how to go back to stock.

I was a annoyed as everyone when the ICS got cancelled for the Desire HD, but i have been reading good stuff about it being available nowe via a ROM from Blackout?
The problem is, I haven't a clue how to do this (not too techy) and I was wondering if there is anywhere I can pay to get this done for me (I live in Liverpool)
Any advice or support would be greatly appreciated, perhaps some kind soul on here may offer to do it for me? (obviously I would pay!)
Just a thought
Thanks
Russ.

That is a very outdated method. The recommended way to get started with rooting, unlocking bootloader and flashing a recovery is by using the AAHK (Advanced Ace Hack Kit). Everything required can be found in the link I attached previously.

Yes, AAHK is the best, you need to gather all the needed stuffs and then just sit down letting the computer to the rest!! After you are rooted and s-offed, just download the rom and flash it from recovery!! Its easy!!

It was me who wrote the topic
You need CWM to root it. Altough i'm not certain that the method above will work.
I am sure you can't brick your device if you fail.

Yes, I need a guide. I used SGH-I337 (AT&T Galaxy S4) with Foxhound ROM and got a new HTC One. Since everything is so different, I need help. I looked around this forum for two days but I still can't understand the anything. I got this T-mobile HTC One 4.4.2 and the phone is basically pure stock. I have no idea about anything, so i'd like to get a straight, step-by-step guide to flash Venom One 4.4.2 ROM. I went to T-mobile HTC One forum, but there weren't so much activities and i ended up asking for help here. Also, an unbrick method will be very helpful just in case. If someone could help me step by step, it will be very thankful. I don't mean to bother people by not reading and asking first, but it is so hard for me to understand.

Read here first mate: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=45432325&postcount=2
Basically 3 steps to flashing custom roms...
1. Unlock Bootloader
2. Install Custom Recovery (I use TWRP)
3. Flash Custom Rom.
How to do all these things are covered in the guides I've linked above.
Much better to read two or three times then stuff up and end up with a handsome paper weight.
Good luck.
I'll just add my 2 cents
Make a nandroid backup of your phone before flashing a custom rom. Also make a copy of that backup on your computer in case you wipe your phone.
Use at least TWRP 2.6.3.3 for 4.4 and higher roms.
Another question. Is there a Cyanogenmod installer for 4.4.2?
I saw a one click kinda cyanogenmod installer that automatically unlocks bootloadr and installs cyanogenmod.

It's not going to unlock the bootloader of this phone. You need to do that using HTCdev.com. See the previous links.
