Long story short... i installed CM10 on my LG P970H v25A, and the network stopped working, cannot read IMEI, the SIM is not recognized...
Then i installed CM10.1 nigtlybuild 20130424 and the same behaviour. Started to think my phone wont accept the CM.
Forget all about QPST, IMEI injection, USB and diag menu, hyper terminal, NV tool and the EFS backup, etc... none of these will work... belive me, i did them all...
I made a little mistake that let me discover a procedure to fix my network. The problem is that i need to do it every time the phone reboots.
1-Restart your phone in recovery mode (i do it with the "advanced reboot" option en CM because cannot find any key combination for that).
2-Do a cache wipe.
3-Enter in advanced and do a Dalvik cache wipe.
4-Do a Fix permissions.
5-Go back and reboot system.
The phone will boot and start some "upgrading process". It will take some minutes but will start.
After boot, sometimes take some minutes, sometimes in seconds, but it will connect. Sometimes it dont connect, but i repeat the process and finally it works (sometimes i need to do the step 4 twice).

Did you already try to simply do a fix permissions in ROM Manager? Then reboot and give it a shot, cause cache and dalvik shouldnt have an effect on it. And maybe make a nandroid when it is not working and one when it is working and do a diff on those files. Maybe you can see, what causes the faulty behaviour
Oh and did you already play with basebands?

I think you are using a P970 ROM in a P970H phone, which are different in terms of radio. So, it is better to you to start looking for a ROM specific to your phone.
"p970h is for latin america and gets 3G in 850/1900/2100 mhz while p970 gets 3G in 900/1700/2100 mhz"
Flash a 30x baseband.

I have searched for the past thirty minutes and have not found a solution so i decided to post in the place where every person seems to know the answer to every question. Anyways, my tp succesfully got set up in ICS and WIFI turned on at first for me to do my original setup, but after rebooting to flash the charger fix and new kernel, my wifi will not connect. I tried a fresh install to make sure the kernel was not the issue, to no avail. When i try and slide the wifi on/off switch to on it just slides back and clicking on the button does nothing. I also tried to add the power widget to the main screen and hit the Wifi button from there, but that was also borked. Any help would be appreciated.
Try setting your router to a specific channel I put mine on 9 and it works now. I was having wifi issues after reboot but after setting the Chanel on my router they went away
If I forget my network, then reboot, then reconnect it seems to work fine. I tried a few other "fixes" I have read about and nothing else seems to work for me at this point...
The problem is not my network, its the fact that i cannot hit the "on" button for wifi

The OP did make the problem clear!
Looks like a reinstall may be needed.
try fixing permissions from CWM.
If that doesn't work, I suggest to have a look at the logcat entries while trying to switch on and off the Wifi, you may see the reason for the error there.
What version of CM9 is intalled? did you install any special kernel? What channel is your wifi on? (I changed mine from 11 to 1 and it's stayed connected for days now!)
Try a full cache and dalvik cache wipe in ClockworkMod. If that fails, then do a full wipe, re-install and try again from scratch.
This happened to me when I updated to Alpha 0.5. I had to go back and reflash the bricked kernel which i previously installed. I think he made a change to the wifi settings and if I remember correctly he told you how to go back to stock cm9 if you wanted to. But if you installed bricked before that's your problem, reflash it in CWM
bricked kernel uses a different WIFI module, so you need to have both in sync (kernel and driver).
If it worked on first boot, I presume he didn't change the kernel, so something else must be causing his WIFI to fail (fail to start, not fail to connect)
As we mention before, I will go for permissions, cache and get a logcat for the error
Permissions did not work so I wiped and started fresh for the third time....well I guess third time is a charm because I am posting from the TP right now thanks guys.
No help with last post so I thought I would try again.
Bell 860 w/2.3.4 rooted. screwed up my contacts and stuff so I can do O.T.A. to 2.3.6. (replacing those lost files is not an option now it seems)
I have on my sd card the zip Willis111 posted the other day of the Bell 2.3.6 rom also Hashcode's ICS alpha 6 and the 860 fix.
I installed Safestrap 1.8, enabled, formatted /system, wiped data/cache. If I select reboot I get a blackscreen (backlight is on but black)
Pull battery, get moto screen, safestrap screen, bootloop, bootloop, bootloop....
If I select shutdown from safestrap menu then I can power up normally but still loop at the safestrap screen.
I have tried wiping repeatedly, wiped dalvik, cursing at it, booting with usb plugged in, all with the same results.
Please help.... I will name my next pet/random squirrel after you.

In safe strap did you ever change to 'safe system' before you started wiping?
/Droid3
Yes sir. I followed Hashcode's procedures from his site. I am sure it is just something small and easy that will get me going in the right direction.
I have it back on the "non-safe" mode at the moment and now all I have is a wifi connection. I checked the APN and nothing was listed. Entered the Telus APN info and it doesn't save so I grabbed an APN manager from the market. It says it is active but still no connection. I am thinking of doing a factory reset to see if that will help.
I just turned 40 today and getting my phone working again would be a great gift.

My suggestion is to start over then..sbf your phone if you have one so you have atleast stock..then reroot it and do not install bootstrap or anything else..just instal safestrap..then go to nonsafe system..I don't think you need to wipe anything if its your first time but you can wipe anyway if you want lol then flash a rom (say cm9 or steeldroid or whatever) then reboot..it will take a while for your first boot but it should boot..let me know if this helps! Just don't boot up until after you flash a rom lol and remember safe rom is your stock rom and nonsafe is you're new rom that you're trying to flash

Thanks beard0, I have not seen a sbf file for the 860 Bell. Found a system dump but thanks to the fbi it is unavailable.
Another problem popped up unfortunately. I lost connectivity. I just have wifi now. Last month when I got the phone I entered the apn info from the Telus website and everything was fine. Now when I try it I get a message saying that "mmc field must be 3 digits" I thought that info was grabbed from the sim? Regardless, I added the rest of the info required, saved, but it doesn't save the info?? I tried apn manager and it had Telus listed, selected that but still no luck. After much searching I just did the factory reset, added apn info and still have no connectivity.
I have spent so many hours on these problems and really don't know where to go from here. Going to root/safestrap etc now.
Out of curiosity I tried turning on simlock. It says no simcard detected. It worked fine for over a month and still works in my backflip though. I think the gf has a simcard in her phone so I am going to see if it reads hers when she gets here.

Maybe dumb question..
After rthe steps did you Flashed the actual ROM????
Just askbecause i dont see it. Mentioned
Also, If you disable safe systemthen youshould be able to go back to regular stock.....

Ya, I flashed the rom, tried the alpha 6 ics one also. It was after doing this then rebooting (still in safe) that i got the bootloop issue. I disabled safe system and went back.
Seems it doesn't really matter now though. It doesn't seem to be reading my simcard. No service (except wifi), Tried enabling simlock, says there is no card in it. Card works in my Backflip. I tried the g/f's Bell card and still no service, etc. Going to search around a bit and see if anything pops up but I may be sending it back. lol
I'm facing weird situation with my XT1092 6.0 MM - I cannot make outgoing calls (nor SMS/MMS) because my phone says "mobile network not available". But I can receive incoming calls & messages!
When I take a look into "about phone -> SIM status" there are only Not Available entries. When I run Netmonitor app or use *#*#4636#*#* there are all information about mobile network (operator, NodeB, sector, RSSI, etc). IMSI number is also available. See screenshots.
It happened suddenly, no special action was taken by me. Changing network type (LTE/WCDMA/GSM, auto, PRL, etc) does not solve issue. Clearing cache & dalvik cache does nothing. Restart neither. Taking out &in SIM card does not work.
It happened 3 days ago to me and I solved issue by Factory Reset. It was working 2 days and happened again right now! I cannot afford factory reset & restoring every 3 days, it's madness. I suppose it's some kind of software issue, maybe permissions related?
Do you have some idea what can cause this issue? Maybe I could post logcat that someone can read it and deduce what is the root cause?
Have you tried with a different sim card?
Yes, the same.
Flashing NON-HLOS.bin and fsg.mbn doesn't solve the issue...I think only factory reset is an option...

If factory reset is the only thing that fixes it. I assume the problem is with an app that you installed. To verify use safe mode. Hold the power button till a popup appears. Press AND HOLD power off, after a few moments a message should appear asking if you want to reboot in safe mode. If it works in safe mode, then one of the apps you installed is the cause.

I've tried to get into safe mode, but got stuck in motorola startup animation. I've removed some system apps manually, so maybe this is the problem with safe mode?

So, as I say in the title, I've got this problem and I don't know how to solve it. I already looked on the other thread but I couldn't find anything really helpful.
It all started when I installed this module from Magisk (®FDE.AI, a battery optimizer). At the time I was using the xiaomi.eu ROM. When I rebooted the phone, as required, the recovery showed up, with the "/sdcard/" folder empty.
From then, I tried changing ROM back and forth, but the problem is always the same:
-When I install some apps and I reboot the phone or it boots in recovery or erase everything (showing me the initial setup screen)
-If the TWRP is installed and it reboot in recovery, I get either random error (in the data folder) or something like "Unable to mount /cache" and "Unable to mount /data"
-Random apps, at random condition, freeze. (Ex. Whatsapp, Telegram, Volum Control, Settings, Launcher, etc...)
ROM that I tried:
-xiaomi.EU
-Lineage OS
-MIUI 10.3.6.0 and MIUI 10.3.8.0 by fastboot (both messing up with the phone sensor: I had to flash persist.img)
-MIUI 10.3.11.0
What I already tried:
-Lock/Unlock bootloader
-Change TWRP
-Flash with Mi Flash the stock ROM
-Wiping Data/Cache/System and Format Data
-EDL flashing (without opening the back, but with the command "fastboot oem edl-mode"): it gives me an error, saying that my account is unauthorized
What should I try to do? I'm very desperate. Could be that the module I installed is still in the system?
You guys are my really last chance, I don't really know what to do.
EDIT:
We didn't find any kind of solutions, so some of us send the phone to get repaired.
Conclusion: DON'T EVER EVER INSTALL FDE.AI ON YOUR K20 PRO
EDIT2:
If you find to have the same problem as us, please write that on the FDE thread. Maybe the developer will do something!
EDIT3:
Mine K20 Pro got fixed by the service center by replacing the motherboard. There are no solution via software for now.
Same issue ! I dont know what to do

if you have already open the back cover, try this:
- unplug the battery, connect the phone to computer with USB, wait for the phone to power up, connect the battery cable again and test.
if not, you should go to service center for warranty.

Nothing. I'm talking via email to the seller to send it to get repair. It's really sad that nobody help and the developer of FDE didn't care at all

Hi, sorry for the bad english. My Xiaomi Note 11 worked perfectly fine for months since I bought it, but last night I accidentally left it charging for the whole night and when I woke up, it suddenly rebooted to recovery mode. I rebooted it back to system, which reboots the phone as usual, then I unlocked the lockscreen, everything went perfectly normal, until it rebooted again to recovery mode. I tried rebooting again, but it rebooted again to recovery mode after I unlocked the lockscreen. I tried booting it to safemode, but it went the same way. However, when I leave the lockscreen unlocked, it doesn't reboot itself. I tried turning it off and rebooting it with the screen unlocked but it did nothing. Do you guys ever have the same problem? Is there any way to fix it without wiping the data? I have some banking apps and other data that would be difficult to recover if I were to wipe out the phone.
I have the same problem too, I think it might have to do with the new update Xiaomi pushed to European devices in the last few days. We'll have to wait and see if they push a fix/if we find a fix...
Exact same problem, started appearing today. This is so weird. I already wiped data and the problem persists; went thorough the setup with no issue, and as soon as I finished it and the phone goes to the main screen, after a few seconds it started appearing again.

I found a way to do so. The problem is that once the phone is unlocked you have a few minutes before it gets booted into recovery mode. So:
Step 1) Have the phone connected to a computer before booting it up, with file explorer in the "this pc" category (where the phone storage will appear)
Step 2) boot the phone and input the password (if any)
Step 3) QUICKLY pull down the notification bar and press the usb options notification
Step 4) QUICKLY press the second option for file transferring
Step 5) QUICKLY open phone storage from pc once it pops up (at this point the phone screen will probably be black with a white loading circle but the phone storage is still accessible!!! You now have a few minutes to transfer any data you want)
Step 6) QUICKLY search through phone storage for any important data and copy/paste it to your computer
Sooner or later the phone will be booted to recovery mode and the mi logo will appear and the phone storage will disappear from the computer so repeat above steps until all your data is backed up.
If a file transfer gets stopped while running, copy/paste the data again on the next "run" and choose to ignore files that are already copied. With this method I managed to backup all my photos and files before wiping the phone.
This problem might be due to a problematic firmware update. My phone was running MIUI version 13.0.12(RGKEUXM) (europe version). I wiped the data and updated my phone to version 13.0.13(RGKEUXM) after setting it up just in case. I will update this thread if the problem reappears.
I am running RGCMIXM (13.0.16.0) and have encountered the issue. Really annoying. Did the wipe all and had no success. I hope someone can help find a fix. No feedback on the issue i logged thru the feedback app to Xiaomi.
