Trying to charge my developers edition via USB port on new car stereo. I just get it toggling between USB connected and USB debugging. I try to turn off debugging in the developers menu but it just resets itself. Any ideas? Thanks

Hello,
I have a problem that I can only connect phone in USB mass storage mode if I am using LG cable which came with the charger.
When I connect it with my WD USB cable the phone charges, but it does not give me the option to choose mass storage or any other type of connectivity.
Please help.
Hello, now making my USB OTG cable from nothing. Saw in the "USB Host Controller" 's settings that I can change "Operation mode" to either "Host" or "Client", not only "OTG". Does this mean that my device can enable its host capabilities without connecting the "right" OTG cable with 4&5 pins connected?
Yes. OTG mode only means it will detect the operation mode automatically.

I made a few of these cables, OTG and audio line outs (fun with resistors had me soldering and making cables for a week lol)
USB Host Controller is just a helper app, You still need to short the pins for the cable to work, as well as making it a "powered" cable since the cappy wont power OTG compatible devices that need it.
anyone else have this issue? when i plug in my phone to a usb 3.0 port it says this device can perform faster if connected to a super speed usb 3.0 port, when it already is. tried a different cable, and tried updating my usb 3.0 drivers...faulty port on the phone maybe?
usb 2.0 works fine...can still transfer files and charge no problem.

are you using the usb 3.0 cable that came with the device? if not thats probably why
The default USB Computer Connection setting (when connected to your computer) is to use either Media Device (MTP) or Camera (PTP) in USB 2.0 mode. You have to manually change it to Media Device (USB 3.0). I noted that after 10 minutes of inactivity my phone reverted back to Media Device as a USB 2.0 connection.

How do it change this to USB 3.0 Mode?
The option isn't there for me in the drop down menu? Yet it still says the device can transfer faster if connected to USB 3.0. help please!
Hello every1.
I have a problem here.
When I plug in my USB cable to my S4A and connect it to PC, I get only charging and NO USB CONNECTION.
No USB debugging, no anything but phone charging.
Anyone has an idea what of system files should I look at for that?
I've tried SG Mass Storage enabler (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mohammadag.samsungusbmassstorageenabler) and after that it stop connecting.
What does that app do and change, so what should I revert to stock state??
Please help.
Some Windows setup needs to be repaired to properly identify USB connected hardware. I have a link to fix it in my thread

I'm trying to get USB debugging working on my new note 5, I'm in Web Development, so I use Chrome Device debugging quite a bit.
I can enable USB Debugging in Developer Tools, and then select file transfer from the options after I plug in the USB cord.
I have installed the Samsung drivers, but Chrome never sees my note 5 as a connected device. (The computer does however).
I also never see the USB icon on the phone, saying it's connected for debugging.
Any thoughts?
