As far as I know, you can't connect other thing than headset with windows phone 8. :crying:

Audio profiles work, file Transfer via OBEX Object Push works and Apps can implement their own Bluetooth functionality but this is only available for that App. To my knowledge Runtastic supports their Pulse Belts.

I have an inquiry made to Samsung about it. No answer yet. We connect a Plantronics Savi W200 to the phone and it works.. Why does the phone recognizes the keyboard, starts normal connection and after the full run starts over with connecting.. over and over Just not to understand

Here the answer from Samsung to my inquiries
Yes our Ativ machine does support bluetooth keyboards but you would need to contact the actual manufacturer of the keyboard you chose first to verifiy compatability as we do not have access to all suitable keyboards

I think either you asked incorrectly or they responded incorrectly, because the Ativ line is used for Windows 8 / Windows RT devices as well as Windows Phone 8 ones. It sounds like the response concerns W8/WRT, not WP8. Boo...

It was clearly asked for the Ativ S WP 8 - several emails have been going back and forth until the quoted answer came

It seems you are right, the answer is incorrect. I bought the IKKB10 keyboard which should be compatible, but the same as before, connect/disconnect cycles. Send an inquiry to the manufacturer.

Finally the answer from Microsoft - no Keyboard at all It read
Windows Phone 8 supports Bluetooth 3.1. This is an improved version of Bluetooth that automates the pairing process between Windows Phone 8 and Bluetooth devices, such as phone headsets, car audio systems, speaker docks, & NFC pairing.
Windows Phone 8 supports the following Bluetooth user profiles:
•Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP 1.2)
•Audio/Video Remote Control Profile (AVRCP 1.4)
•Hands Free Profile (HFP 1.5)
•Phone Book Access Profile (PBAP 1.1)
•Object Push Profile (OPP 1.1)
•Out of Band (OOB) & Near Field Communications (NFC)
The Bluetooth HID (Human Interface) profile required to support keyboards and other input peripherals is not present in the Windows Phone 8 Bluetooth stack - this has been the case since Windows Phone 7.
We can complain by MS, does it help, probably not...

Multiple Bluetooth device re-connection issues

I have 3 stereo bluetooth devices and 2 headset only devices.
The problem comes from auto re-connecting to the stereo devices.
The only way it seems to work at all is if I pair all the stereo devices first.
If I reset, then I usually have to click and hold on the device in BT Settings and select "set as wireless stereo" to get the stereo connection to kick in.
In my tests I have made sure only one device is on at a time.
It certainly is not as easy as it should be.
It seems to be worse after a Tilt reset.
So my questions are : Has anyone else seen this behavior and is there a fix or work-around for it?
If not, does anyone no how to make a direct link to the BT Settings Window so at least it would only be a couple clicks to fix it?
You need at least one of each device (headset and stereo headset) to see this problem.
I've seen this with my Wizard as well as the Tytn II, so I suspect it's a "feature" of the MS BT stack. I think it's somehow related to the "set as wireless stereo" feature -- apparently only one device at a time can have that setting, and MS turns the setting off if it can't connect to that device. Note that there's no such setting for handsfree, and connections on that profile work flawlessly between multiple devices.
Its a little better
What I found out is that if you pair all your stereo devices first and then all the non-stereo, things seem to work a bit better and Dutty's BT-Link plugin will reconnect the stereo part most of the time, so its only a click away and sometimes you don't need to turn the device to discover mode.
However, if anyone from MS reads this, there is no reason not to automatically connect into full stereo, IF the device is the only one in the list that can be found at any point in time. And if they wanted to be really cool, if not, then present the user with a list so he can click to choose.
Similar problem
Hi BSW11,
Im having a similar problem with the pairing of my carkit.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=1717330#post1717330
I believe it can be traced to the the MS BT stack not handling the automatic re-pairing correctly. I am surprised that not many other people have notice or complained in this forum about it.
Adam
No BT Wireless Stereo device will auto-connect to any WM device, you have to tell your phone to connect to it via the BT setting unless a 3rd party app has that function built in to it. This is a 'feature' of MS WM OS system.
Any BT 'headset' (ie mono earpiece) will auto connect if it has been selected for 'use as headset'
Hope this helps.

Did you try it without Jetware? Made sure your bluetooth was set as discoverable? Paired the device? The more info YOU provide as to what you've done, tried, & what setup you've done it with...the beter the help & answers you'll get.
I'd suggest filtering through the following threads. There have been similar problems fixed:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=364559&highlight=Kaiser+Nokia+car+kit
In the above thread the original poster solved his nokia carkit issue following this:
1. Pair the TyTN II to the car (Nokia HT-2) phone.
2. Switch car ignition OFF and switch off TyTN II.
3. Remove SIM from TyTN II.
4. Place SIM into a compatible phone (in my case Nokia N95).
5. Switch on N95, switch on Bluetooth, switch on Remote SIM access.
6. Change the Bluetooth ID name on the N95 to the same as the TyTN II.
7. Make phone discoverable via Bluetooth.
8. Switch on car ignition - car phone will not be able to connect.
9. Using car controls search for new device.
10. When N95 is found, select connect, it will use the same user profile as the TyTN II (if you selected the same name for the Bluetooth ID).
11. On the car browse to Settings - Phonebook - Update, this will then import all your contacts from your N95 (or compatible phone).
12. Switch off ignition and switch off N95.
13. Replace SIM back to TyTN II.
14. Ensure TyTN II Bluetooth is ON, Remote SIM is ON and the phone is Discoverable.
15. Switch on car ignition - car phone will not be able to connect.
16. Using car controls search for new device.
17. When TyTN II is found, select connect, it will use the same user profile as before.
18. Now browse the car Phonebook as normal - All your contacts are now available for you to use.
19. Don't forget to turn off discoverability on the TyTN II and to rename your compatible phone (N95) to prevent any future conflicts.
This worked for me! I hope it will work for you! Good Luck!
I did try it with removing the jetware the bluetooth works fine but cant download contacts is there anyother patch or software more compatable with nokia bluetooth devices. Jet ware is good but wont let me disconect call when done any one else have an issue like this
BOBBYDS1 is your connection between the Kaiser and the Car Kit using Bluetooth as a headset (in other words the phone still functions and you can look up and dial with the phone) or is it using rSAP (Remote Sim) which switches your Kaiser into flight mode.
I ask this as it will determine which way you look for a solution. If its using rSAP then most Nokia systems that are fitted into cars as factory fit have not yet developed the correct software to communicate with Windows Mobile devices, in which case you will need to remove Jetware from you Kaiser and use my solution on a previous post as quoted above.

The phone still functions as i can disconnect by the phone it self here is the thing sometimes I can disconnect call by the nokia bluetooth device but a lot of times I cannot disconnect, i have to pull phone out of my pocket and end call
@BOBBYDS1 and fb.knight
No offence guys, but you need to go back to Junior High and learn how to use commas, question marks and letter cases.
Posts like that will rarely get you any kind of a reasonable response.
what nokia bluetooth car kit are you trying to use?
Still not clear if your carkit is using headset or rSAP profiles. Can you either tell us the model of the carkit, or tell us if you can browse the internet from the phone whilst its connected to the carkit?
Punctuation good enough there Dark?! (JOKE!!)
IT is a Nokia CK15-w Bluetooth Car kit Here is a link to it. http://www.nokiausa.com/A4431279
Also I can surf the internet while it is connected to the bluetooth.
Looks like that model supports:
Hands-free Profile 1.5, Phonebook Access Profile 1.0
(Source: Nokia Europe
The Kaiser supports:
File Transfer Profile, SIM Access Profile (rSAP), Dial-Up Networking Profile, Personal Area Networking Profile, Hands-Free Profile 1.5, Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (I'm guessing A2DP)
(Source: www.theunwired.net
So I'm guessing that whilst it will work as a glorified headset, you have no chance of getting your contacts downloaded! Should be able to get them from your SIM, just not the main memory. Wonder why Nokia removed the rSAP profile? It was on their 610 (rSAP only) 616 (rSAP and Handsfree) then from the 810 and CK-15 it seems to be handsfree only. This could be why so many are having problems with Nokia carkits, Nokia went and changed the supported bluetooth profiles. Funny, I would have thought the newer the model, the more it would have done, but I guess not! Glad I looked into this as I was thinking about 'upgrading' to the 810 for the full handset, guess I won't be now!
I am getting confused, I downloaded the jetstream program to the phone and was able to download the contact list no problem. The problem i am having is when i make a call from the nokia bluetooth when I am done and hit the endcall button on the nokia it does not end the call, I have to pull out the phone and hit the end button on the phone itself. any suggestions on how to correct this.

So downloading contacts isn't your problem, hanging up whilst having jetware installed is? Better post would have been something along the lines of:
"I'm having trouble ending calls on my Kaiser using the end button on my Nokia CK-15 carkit. I installed the Jetware program to enable downloading contacts, but this stops the end key working on the Kaiser, before this it was working fine just the carkit couldn't download contacts. Does anyone know of any settings in Jetware I can try, that would restore the end key function, or other software that would still enable me to download contacts and have and end key?" - That might have got you an answer sooner...
Right, the phone as it comes doesn't support phonebook access, thus you won't be able to download your contacts. Actually, none of the Nokia bluetooth carkits support downloading contacts from the internal memory of a Windows Mobile device, probably because no Nokia uses Windows Mobile (yet).
You add something like Jetware which gives you the ability to access the phonebook, but then you are unable to end a call via the carkit. My best guess is Jetware does something which interupts the commands from the carkit. I'm also guessing your stuck with either having contacts download or and end call option. Add Jetware back and play with it's settings. You may get lucky. However bluetooth is very buggy and the only way to get 2 devices to work perfectly with eachother without running the risk of having to fiddle or loose something is to buy them from the same manufacturer and check they are fully compatible with eachother. Two devices from 2 manufacturers don't always work.
Here are some examples:
Old Ericsson headset, will work perfectly with my old HTC phone and can't even be seen by my Kaiser. Slightly newer one (that has an LCD for caller ID) will work once connected until I switch it off, then requires the old HTC phone to be soft reset before it will connect again. Works perfectly with the Kaiser. Brand new, cheapy Motorola headset does what it feels like with no consistency on my older HTC, again works perfectly on the Kaiser. My Nokia 610 carkit will connect to both phones, but whilst the older phone needs to be soft reset before turning off the ignition (otherwise the phone part of things crashes), the Kaiser will connect and disconnect just as Nokia intend. The carkit will only download SIM contacts. The fix posted above isn't really a fix, it's fooling the carkit into thinking that another phone (the Nokia N95) is the kaiser, downloading the contacts from it and then reconnecting the real Kaiser. Not a fix, but a brilliant workaround.
Also noticed that the CK-15 uses bluetooth version 1.2, the Kaiser bluetooth version 2. This might be something to do with it.
In short, I think you will have to live with either a phonebook, or an end function. Welcome to the wonderful world of bluetooth. It also doesn't help that Nokia hasa a history of making devices which don't work with anything other than another Nokia device...
Is there any way to change the kaiser to use bluetooth 1.2. Also is there a way to contact jetware besides email as they dont reply.
In your reply you state thAT Nokia devices csnt download from internal memory of kaiser phone, how can i set it up to download from the sim is there a way.

I seriously doubt anyone will be writing a bluetooth stack v1.2 for the Kaiser anytime soon. I also have a feeling that the versions are hardware, not software related, so its impossible. I think you may have to accept that the Kaiser and Nokia will never play nicely. Why don't you install Jetware, sync your contacts, then either disable it (I'm sure I remember an option in the settings when I tried it previously) or just delete the program? You could keep the installer cab on your device somewhere as its only 500kb for when you need to reinstall it?
If there isn't a phone number on the jetware homepage, I'm betting you can't call them. But I did notice there is an advanced set-up options menu. Did you try unchecking all the boxes apart from phonebooks? If the "hang-up/swap to incomming call" option is unchecked, Jetware should pass that command to the phones standard bluetooth software and give you back your end key. From the Jetware site:
"When this option is unchecked the Extension will allow hang up commands to be processed by the built-in code, which will disconnect all active voice calls."
If it's currently checked, try unchecking it.

Have you read the manual? In my 610 manual, it tells me I can choose to dowload phone, SIM, or phone and SIM memory. Does yours?
Now it seems that call waiting is not working in the bluetooth unit, itried the settings both ways in jetware but still no go. any ideas

How to connect 3 bluetooth devices?

Hi mates
I`m using HTC Touch Pro, branded by T-Mobile germany (mda vario 4) with EnergyROM Photon (build 21864). I have a build-in bluetooth device in my car (original bmw e90). Usually I can connect my phone with BT system in the car and use it, now i got a headset Planctronics Discovery 925. I tried to establish the connection via BT in the car, HTC Touch Pro and Planctonics Headset, all 3 dev. in the same time, but dont know how. Is it possable? Cuz i want to make the conversation private and public. Private via Planctonics Headset and publice via BT System in the car.
Please HELP!!!
your BMW's bluetooth connects automatically to your phone , the only way to make it connect to your bluetooth headset is disconnecting the phone thru the voice menu of the BMW, then choose the headset on the phone's bluetooth menu
i have a mazda 3 2010 and it does the same thing.
THX for your answer. Well this means there is no way to connect 2 devices to my htc phone at the same time? . According to wiki link KLICK, the master BT device can communicate up to 7 devices.

Issues with multiple bluetooth devices?

I use Remote Phone (https://justremotephone.com) for handeling calls at work. Remote Phone uses bluetooth handsfree profile for the purpose of controlling my phone from the laptop.
When my phone is connected to my laptop with Phone audio, Input device and Contact sharing enabled, it can only connect to my BT headset using Input device and Contact sharing.
When my phone is connected to my BT headset or a BT-speaker with handsfree-support (e.g. my car) with Phone audio, Input device and Contact sharing enabled, my smartwatch (Gear S3) looses Phone audio (or disconnects).
When my phone is connected to my smartwatch (Gear S3) with Phone audio, Input device and Contact sharing enabled, it often fails to register and automatically connect to other known devices.
It would seem that the N8 Sirocco can not connect to multiple devices using Phone audio profile.
I have sendt an e-mail to Nokia support addressing this issue, and will post the answer here.
I'm still on Android 8.0.0, and hopefully this is a SW-problem that is corrected in 8.1.
I'm guessing there is not so many N8 Sirocco owners out there yet, but of the few that is out there, has anyone else experienced similar BT handling issues?
This might not be a problem with the N8 Sirocco, but a problem with BT handling on the Gear S3.....
i have a major BT connection issues with my GEAR s3. It doesnt pair at all. the process gets stuck on the galaxy and stars moving around and saying setting up your device. Any help on how to connect my gear s3?
solution?

Hi MrMastodon. Did you solve the topic? As I have similar issue with Nokia 8 and car BT device + GPS BT tethering...
I completely forgot to follow up, it turns out that the Galaxy Gear is known for causing exceptionally bad Bluetooth-performance when paired with non Samsung devices.. I sold it.

Your Phone: Windows 10 PC connection (Howto and questions)

I've recently figured out that I'm able to make and receive calls from my Windows 10 PC, using my Note 9.
Requirements:
Bluetooth Connection (little did I know, I needed to plug an antenna into my Desktop PC for this)
Windows 10 (Sorry, I'm not a MAC user, so I'm no help, here on if there's a way to get it to work for MACs)
On Windows 10 - Your Phone app
On Note 9: Your Phone Companion app
Once the above requirements are satisfied, open up Your Phone on your Windows 10 PC. It will then attempt to find your Note 9 and once connected, just like connecting to any other Bluetooth device, you'll have to enable permissions, probably on both sides.
What does work:
Calling/Receiving Calls
Call notifications (audio as well)
Texting
Controlling your Phone screen
What does not work: As far as I know, any other app that plays sound, such as a music player Facebook audio or Snapchat snaps, will still play out to your phone's speakers. I'm currently trying to look into this and see if there's a way to fix this such that all audio is sent to my Desktop PC. Is there a way to get these other sounds to play to my computer via the Bluetooth connection as they would when connected to a Bluetooth Speaker or some other bluetooth car dock?

I'm on T-mobile, usa 960u, still don't have UI 2.1. Any idea when we'll get it? Do you have it yet?
When I examined the Bluetooth connection on my phone, the connection said Use For and only Calls was listed, not Audio, which explains why other sounds are not played to my computer. Is this the extent of what Your Phone does in terms of audio, only audio related to calls?
Oh neat. I can't receive or send call audio on my macbook pro (windows 10). I guess its a driver issue, the ones i got from apple through brigadier don't work so i have to use the generic drivers. guess i'll buy a BT dongle then.
