[Q] Remove Double Click Headset Redial "Feature"/Bug - Sprint HTC One (M7)

It seems this has been an issue on HTC phones in the past, but why on earth is there no actual way to disable redialing the last number when double clicking on a headset button? Even with a controller app, it skips the song, but it ALSO redials the number. The only "fix" I've found is Headset Button Controller which adds a "dummy" entry to the call log, which does not have a phone number. Has anyone found another way around this (the dummy entries bug me a bit)? Thanks!

I've always found that you can just dial numbers while you're in a call, you just use the... dialpad. :/
I had one contact which dials one of those 0870 numbers for cheaper international calls, someone pointed out to me that to get the phone to pause inbetween dialing a number, you could setup a Contact with commas to achieve a pause (I think each comma pauses the dialing for about a second)... So I have 0870234821,,001598238 (for example, the numbers aren't real numbers, but you get the idea).
I've always found that I can just dial on the keypad if I'm in a call though, you just dial and it dials the DTMF. Am I missing a trick here? I've not installed any other dialing software, I'm just using the supplied software, just with the default skin.
i know wot u mean.... but i'm contstantly having to dial numbers whilst in call, so it would be useful to have a tool that will allow you to do this rather than dummying number and having a pause for different dtmf's

i've tried this software but whilst incall, it doesnt trigger off... am i doing something wrong.
I see what you mean...
... Here's a thought; how about recording some combos of DTMF tones to predefined wave files, and triggering them on the phone whilst you're in a call? There's a chance the phone might pick them up as they're being played, and relay them down the line... Just a thought for this morning, one I've not tried in practice yet, but it might work.
it is good to use.
i use short tone and delay time change to 50ms.
nice !
thanks a lot
Can't get dialDTMF to work. The tones are played when I go to contacts -> dialDTMF, but only when NOT in a call. If I'm in a call and try to use dialDTMF nothing happens after I pick either work/home/mobile number.
Or am I using this tool the wrong way?

Problems: Calling most recent number & voice command

Does anyone know of a fix yet for the Windows Mobile 6 (crossbow) for calling the most recent number. Before, when pressing the call button twice, it would call the number you previously called without having to manually scroll through the call history.
Also, I noticed with the underground rom, that pressing the button on the bluetooth headset no longer activates voice command. Any fix for this? I went through some threads but the fixes that i found there were to redirect ALL audio to the headset (not something i care for). Thanks!
Calling the most recent number works, you must not be using the default WM6 dialer. Mine displays calls history and contacts in the center of the screen with the last call selected, so if I push the green button twice, it will call.
As for the voice command, read through this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=295967&highlight=voice+dialing
As far as I know, it doesn't redirect all audio. The second set of directions that includes
"HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Bluetooth\AudioGateway\BTA GExtModule = "OEMAGW.dll" (string)"
redirects notifications.
It is using Windows Dialer. But the thing is, the scroll history is not organized in the most recently called, instead it is organized in alphabetical order. So instead of calling the number I most recently called, it calls the person on the top of the alphabetical list of my recently called list.
Weird. Mine has the most recent callers at top, and then an alphabetical list under that. So pressing the green dial button twice (or hitting my BT headset button twice) will call the last number each time. I'm on WM6 MBE.

voice dial and program launch

Hello
I have an att tilt and am a new user. My question is about the voice dial feature and voice launch feature.
In looking at the manual it seems like after you set up the voice feature for each number or program, you still need to go to start / tools / voice dial just to launch it. Is it me or does this seem to defeat the purpose of voice activating a program? You need to hit a series of keys when it might be just as quick or quicker to just launch the program or dial the number.
Does anyone have any suggestions to maybe make this function more easily accessable when you are lets say driving?
Also does anyone know if bluetooth headsets that say they support voice dialing will activate this function?
Thank you
Adam
Your best choice would probably be a bluetooth headset. On those, you just press one button and say who you want to call and it calls.
There's also a program called Voice Commander - but it's not that good yet, it has voice recognition.. just google it or search this forum.
If you're not driving, using smartdial is probably the way to go. Your Kaiser/Tilt should come with it. You just start typing person's name and it appears in the list.
Another opion might be to use HTC Home - you will have about 7-8 boxes with people's names or photos.. you just tap on in and it calls that person.
Oh, and by the way... you can go to start/settings/personal/buttons and assign a hardware button to that voice application.
Hope this helps..
Don't you have a button that activates the voice dial? In my TyTN there is a button on the right side of it. I used to push it accidentally all the time - it made me so annoyed that I turned it off.

One Button 911

I have searched the forum and Google for this.
I have had some medical problems recently that leave me wanting the capability to reach 911 with one button push.
When I have problems, I can not see good enough to find and push the phone button and 911.
It would be great if some how the [otherwise useless] PPT button could be programmed to call 911 and turn on the Speaker phone.
Thank you for any help or suggestions.
How to assign a contact to a button?
I have figured out that I can set up a contact with phone number of 911 and it will dial and connect ok. [tested with 411]
Is there a way to assign a contact to be dialed with one of the external buttons?
I have looked at AEButtons and it can not do it.
Thanks

Try assigning the PTT button to Voice Command and do it that way.

Redial Function

Is there a AUto redial function or an application for Auto Redial
Nothing good.. only 1-2 apps free in the market and the ones available require multiple taps to redial. Better to make a shortcut of the call log on your screen will be as fast as the apps.
There is an app: AutoRecall
There is a good one: "AutoRecall and redial" check on the market, it is free.
or you can just press the green answer key twice to redial :S
to BULL3TPR00F
BULL3TPR00F? hmm... that is the "Manual" redial
auto redial redials the number automatically on busy and other call failures (until a successful call or until u stop).
