Well, first I would like to warn you that I am Brazilian and my English is not very good, so please do not use slang.
Mobile Device: GT-I8190L
I installed clockwork recovery 6.0.2.7 to be able to root the device. However he lost the status of "Official" and now is no longer recognized by KIES. I tried to download a Rom and install the internet to retrieve the recovery of the "Official" but found none that come with it. Can anyone send me the file recovery "official" that comes on the phone so I reinstall and re-appear as "Official" instead of "Modify"? I use some applications from Samsung, so it would be interesting that he kept updating these applications, however with the status of "modify" it does not update anything. I put the tys0n but did not work still. Keeps appearing modified. Can you help me please?
Thanks in advance for your attention. hugs

Hi I hope someone can help me as i'm a little stuck how to proceed....
Basically I purchased a new P7310 tablet 2 days ago with the idea of installing lovely JellyBean.
I firstly 'Rooted' the following the instructions on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1406137 and then installed and run 'Superuser' without problems.
Next I installed 'Titanium Backup Root' and 'RomManager from ClockWorkMod', I run Titanium Backup Root and carried out a full system and apps backup successfully.
Next I connected my tablet to my Windows PC and downloaded the latest two ROM zip files from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1777398 and copied them to the Root of my SDcard.
I then disconnected my tablet and clicked the 'RomManager' app, once opened I clicked on the 'Boot in Recovery' button and a message appeared saying it needs to install the Recovery Manager, so I clicked OK. Next a success message appear saying it installed OK. So I decided to click the 'Backup ROM' button before I started just to be safe but the tablet switched off... black screen, it then loaded up but the Samsung logo flash up then disappeared.
Now If I try to power on the tablet I just get to the logo then powers off, if I try to boot into recovery mode it displays the two icons on the screen ok but selecting the left icon (with mini android character) it powers off. If I select the other green icon it shows me a message about installing custom roms and asks me to connect the tablet to a USB... followed by asking about 'odin3'?
I'm totally confused what I can do now, as I say I haven't actually got to the point of installing the JelyBean Rom, I just wanted to make a few backups first.
Any help much appreciated..thanks.
From further investigation I think I have soft bricked my tab :crying:
Now trying to find out how I might be able to fix it, found this post which I really hope will help me - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1133590
Any help with trying to fix my tab would be great.. thanks.
Fixed it thanks to this forum :victory:
Encase anyone else has the same issue I just downloaded the original ROM file for my UK P7310 (P7310XEUKJ4_P7310XXKJ4_HOME.tar.md5) which was approx 600MB (once extracted to desktop) from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1582943
And followed the screen shot instructions further down the thread from user 'suwandiapr' which informed me which options to have selected when runing the 'Odind3 v1.85' application.
The whole process took around 10 minutes to complete.
Sounds like ROM Manager screwed you. This is why I'm not a big fan of these Play Store release ROM/recovery installers. You can't test on every device, therefore there are going to be issues and some people are going to end up with bricks. Sure, they're convenient, and they work most of the time, but when they don't work, it has the potential to be catastrophic.
IMO, stick with flashing things through working recovery (or Odin the first time).
EDIT: Also, glad you're back up and running.
had same problem with p7300 after Rom Manager.
now using cwm for total backups and 'my backup' for applications when moving between different roms.
I'll second everything said. Always use a recovery to flash a rom. Never rom manager or other such things i hard bricked my i727 using goo manager. Don't trust the rom either rom manager or goo manager say are compatible with you device. Pretty sure my hard brick was from a gapps goo manager said was compatible with the rom. Check xda and what others have said works
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I957 using xda app-developers app
The best option to flash any rom is from the cwm recovery, unless its a stock rom and u want to use Odin from dl mode. Also, some versions of cwm recovery are deemed dangerous for ics. Pls visit tracids thread in development for details.
Hi everybody,
sorry for posting this outside the mini 2 forum, but appearently that's a developers reserved forum, so I had no rights to post there.
I would like to ask what is the latest stable custom rom developed for mini2, where to find it and possibly an instruction page.
I had good experience with CM on another galaxy before, so I checked on the the CM website first but mini 2 is not listed there
On the other end I saw a long post on the mini2 developers forum saying that CM10 was actually created, but the post is 91 pages long(!), so forgive me if I didn't read it all. Is it working?
I also checked if there was something like an "in evidence" post with instructions for newbies but couldn't see any, maybe I missed it.
Can someone point me to the right page?
thank you for your held

mm in the meantime I screwed things up. I installed gapps and now it only boots in recovery mode...
why? what shall I do?
please help
thank you

ok, now I'm starting to panic.
why does nobody answer, am I doing something wrong with this post?
I reinstalled the stock rom. I first tried using CWM recovery and selecting install zip file from sd card, but it didn't work: it told me BAD regarding the zip file (downloaded from sammobile), then I succeded using odin. by the way which is the correct method?
However it now seems to start, but I get in loops messages from the setupwizard that says the guided configuration has crashed and also from gapps that Google service Framework has crashed (but should gapps be wiped by the rom flash???).
the problem is that the first of the two keeps restarting and crashing so the phone doesn't do anything else then showing this messages.
please help

After you flash Stock ROM via Odin. Remove battery, put it back. Boot into stock recovery - clear user data & cache and reboot. If the same error occurs try deleting /Android directory(old cache) in your sd card.
thank you for your reply, unfortunately it didn't help.
what do you mean by "stock recovery"? the recovery I see, I believe is CWM which I installed before, but I'm not sure.
anyhow from there I wiped user&cache but I had tried this before and removing teh battery didn't make a difference.
I do not have any /Android directory on my SD card.
it's a simple 4GB fat 32 partition with a single file in it (the zip with stock rom I tried to flash before using odin) and nothing else.
by the way, I used odin3 v.1.83 to flash and I selected the file using PDA button,
but I also have "bootloader", "phone" and "csc" options.
what is the difference?
everything I do makes it more dramatic!
I tried reapeating the whole procedure once again, and odin crashed while flashing teh rom. now it doesn't even boot in download mode, it simply asys to connect kies in recovery mode. but kies never saw my phone in spite of driveres reinstallation, and it is of course not seeing it now!!

you should terminate kies before using odin. You can kill it in task manager, because kies intereferes with ODIN.
You should'nt be concerned with bootloader and the other options. As long as ur downloaded stock has tar.md5 extension you just place it in the PDA section and select Auto reboot and F. Reset time only.
Also You should only disconnect when it says PASS otherwise u will brick ur phone.
When u success fully flash ur stock rom, the chance is it will not get to homescreen
So u remove battery, reinsert it, press and hold HOME button together with POWER button, the phone boots into stock recovery, you choose wipe data and cache, then reboot. (chemicalrage explained this)
If it ain't booting into download mode u should go to service centre.
PS: My advice is to stay away from custom roms until samsung releases jelly bean for mini 2, then better custom roms will be released.

You are far, far from the first person to ask that question so please put some effort in and search first, rather than simply expecting people to repeat the same instructions for the 100th time.
i searched every inch of this site for O4x recovery flash

error boot image signature means the bootloader is locked. so u didnt install the recovery and so thats why u cant go in recovery. u just deleted the stock recovery by mistake. now u either go ahead and try unlock , flash recovery and install new rom if u want to go away from stock rom, or use kdz to restore.
<<EDIT>> i dont understand that o4x. i just told you whats ur situation there. now use search and find the solution
Hi there,
I was recently put in the same situation, i.e. I installed ROM Manager and then ClockworkMod. When I open ROM Manager --> Recovery Setup --> Install or Update Recovery --> Click on "ClockworkMod Recovery" --> I get "Error while downloading from server. Please make sure that you have a stable internet connection and that your SD card is inserted and have free space!". I have made sure that I have both, therefore I do not understand why I get this error. When I select "Reboot into recovery" in ROM Manager my phone restarts and then I get the same error as ruznik.
When I try to boot into recovery manually, i.e. switch off phone, Volume UP (or DOWN) + Power button, I get the same error as ruznik. However, my phone boots normally which is always a relief.
I uninstalled ROM Manager and tried to boot into recovery and I got the same error as ruznik. Then I installed back ROM Manager and in the Recovery set up there is already "ClockworkMod recovery", which probably means that ClockworkMod was not uninstalled when I uninstalled ROM Manager.
I have rooted my LG P880, but I believe I have not unlocked the bootloader (I suspect that CWM + bootloader not unlocked is what is causing the error with booting into recovery?). I say I believe, because I did the rooting some time ago and I do not remember if I have unlocked the bootloader as well.
I would like to uninstall CMW. However, I understand that this is not a very easy thing, therefore I would be happy to reflash my EUR-XXX Jelly Bean 4.1.2, root and then unlock the bootloader. However, although I have properly installed the drivers (as this is not the first time I will flash the EUR-XXX), my phone does not connect to my PC, although it charges from the PC. I have tried with two different cables, I have enabled debugging, I have Media Sync enabled (I tried also the option LG software as I have LG PC suite installed), I have tried to connect it to different ports, I have tried to connect it to different PCs, but still nothing. Note that this is happening only with my LG P880, because I can connect properly my Iphone 4S to all 3 PCs. Also, when I open my LG PC suite, I cannot connect the mobile phone to the LG PC suite via cable, but I can connect it via Wifi connection.
I am a bit reluctant to unlock the bootloader, e.g.
youtubedotcomslashwatch?v=sBeirPeT2rQ
youtubedotcomslashwatch?v=iqEop-ThNug
because I do not want to brick my working phone when I cannot connect it to my PC so that I can flash it (sorry for the broken links - I am not allowed to post links because I am new to XDA). Therefore, I have two questions:
1) Is there anything I can do to connect my phone to a PC? I believe that everything went wrong after I installed ROM Manager and then CWM via ROM Manager.
2) Is it safe to unlock the bootloader while the phone is in the current state? I am not sure if the phone will restart and then will not be able to turn on again because it will be bricked? And since I have not managed to connect my phone to a PC, I am not sure how I will be able to flash the software?
Apologies for long email - I tried to be as descriptive as I can. Thank you in advance for any suggestions.
I Dont really know what happen, and i've had it in the drawer for such a while now.
I have had it rooted, and install null rom. But- it was acting up so i factory reset it a few times.
At this point i cant offically connect it with my S5. The device will pair, but the software wont completely connect.
Im probably going about this wrong, but the the guides im running into bring up completely connecting the device first. And every video i find while searching for downlaod mode are in different languages.
Thanks for any help u can give.
Well, i was able to find the download mode options.
But- i fully formatted the device, thus removing my null23.zip .
How do i install it via odin? Or do i have to start all over again and install the stock rom, re-root , etc.?
If you've twrp I think all you need to do is put null on via adb and then flash it with twrp
Hi everyone my phone is the SM-G900A variant. I tried doing the update manually but now i cant go past the splash screen. Recovery and download mode are available. It says I have version KTU84P.G900AUCU2AOA1 in recovery mode. I first tried installing "G900A_OA1_tC4_OTA.zip" through the external storage but i get errors about sideload packages, code 7, and it fails i guess. I hear you can go to best buy for help about this, but i think you guys are a better choice. I don't really want to root so at this point id like to have the phone functioning again, at the original firmware or above. I appreciate any help. By the way the thread I was following to do this was this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-galaxy-s5/help/g900aucu4coi5-file-t3231450/page2

Try to rename this update to "Update" put to EXTERNAL STORAGE and flash through recovery via external storage.
