Hi,
my friend has a Galaxy Mini.
He total bricked it, and now the phone is died.
Download mode, RAM Dump mode, recovery mode: no, the phone won't boot.
USB doesn't work! In 3 different PC, with and without Kies, with and without battery, ODIN and/or Windows doesn't recognize the device.
Can i recover it?
He had BaltRom 4.5 and CWM 5,and it flashed a Next Turbo rom with bootloader ;(
you want to revive the phone? how did he bricked it ? (a phone does not brick if you flash it, but when you do something WRONG when flashing it)
if is totaly bricked you should better go to a service shop and ask there how much will cost the repair first
Next Tutbo whatever ROM is for another phone. Tell him that he was dumb and go to service center. Motherboard has to be replaced.
He flashed boot.img of s5570i.
He will buy a Galaxy S. ( ? )

Hey guys I have an Indian Galaxy pop aka galaxy mini running 2.2.1 .
I wanted to flash CM7 on it so I first flashed the CWM recovery from tj_styles thread via odin .. it flashed successfully and the phone booted but now I can't get into recovery mode ...
Tried home + power, terminal emulator, qtadb .. it just gives a black screen or gets stuck on the Samsung screen...
Anyone knows what the problem is? Any help would be appreciated
Upgrade to GB first then flash cwm.
CWM only work in gingerbread..

I had android 2.2.2 on galaxy pop cdma.but i installed ROM manager.infact i also installed cwm.but when i clicked backup current ROM.Phone got blacked out..and doesnt start..Now the problem is how to i enter recovery mode..i tried all possible combinations ..dosent wrk ...plz help

Rom manager is not compatible with our device and you have hard bricked (broken bootloader) and now you must give to samsung service for repair.

thats sad...but as a developer cant we fix it ourselves..i mean generally what is generally done in these situations.reflashing bootloader with some tools ?

Actually, ROM Manager is capable of bricking the Motherboard, and this situation is termed as "Hard Brick" ie, the phone is completely dead. You can't enter recovery/download mode or boot up.
So, only the Samsung Service guys can replace the motherboard in order for the phone to function properly.
On the other hand, if the bootloader is bricked, it is also a case of Hard brick, but some devices can recover from this stage, but no idea about Galaxy Mini. I guess only locked bootloader is dangerous more than unlocked bootloader, and Galaxy Mini's is unlocked. Normally every Samsung's bootloader is unlocked I guess.

Phone doesn't need motherboard replacement. It could be fixed with JTAG like RiffBox in any better service. I have RiffBox and several GT-S5570 phones were fixed with JTAG method.
It isn't simple but is possible. Phone should be disassembled, eight wires soldered to the motherboard and through JTAG access rewrite boot loader to the OneNAND memory. After resurrection finished, it's possible to switch phone to the download mode and continue flashing with Odin.
try install your stock rom via odin, and later install cmw, later of this you can flash what you wants, i recomend cmw touch updated

yesterday i try to flash GB firmware by Odin and use pit file
when i chose start i stock on repartition ,,,
i power off phone and it now not power on or go to download mod or recovery
i think it cause missing partition on boot loader
did you think that Jig can fix it and go to download mod??? or should be motherboard replacement ???

remove battery for a few mins and do the 3 button combo (DL Mode) whilst inserting battery If you can get into DL mode, Flash GB WITHOUT PIT.
If you cant get into DL mode, Try a jig, If that fails, You need a new motherboard
i put the phone on charge all the night it warm but now charging logo
no access to download mod
so it brought 301kohm resistor and try Jig >>> ( as i know ,, its right?? )
if not i should replace motherboard with 250$ ohhhhhhhh my god
well if the phone fails to boot at all or show any signs of life, Samsung will repair it under warranty.
Just act dumb and say it happened during a kies upgrade.

Warranty is there to replace / repair faults that are not made by the user / owner, If they are gonna charge you then they arent fixing it under warranty.
Kick up a fuss and demand it to be repaired !

I've been trying to fix it with box flasher RIFF JTAG to unbrick.....
Now my device already detec on PC n want tobe ON....but the problem is a blank screen and vibrating always when i was try to download mode and cannot to flash with ODIN

The pc detects your device, but does odin recognize your phone?

I'm not sure if you already tried this:
Remove batery
connect phone to pc
put phone in Download mode (while the battery is still removed.))
Flash with ODIN.
Are you able to get into recovery mode ?

Sorry bro, your Ace+ is now RIP. I used Smniller (or someone spelled equivalent to this ) no my Mini and Ace before. Theyre still dead

The Ace+ is a lot more sensitive to ROM flashes, and it bricks easily.
Yes, your phone is now dead. You can send it off to Samsung for repair - just say it died whilst it was charging. DO NOT TELL THEM YOU WERE FLASHING WITH ODIN.

I need your help. My colleague has some how bricked his Galaxy I9000 device. As per discussion he said he tried to upgrade the rom and accidently the rom he selected for flash via odine was for I9003 which is a variant of Galaxy S line of product.
Now what happened is the phone is completely dead no download mode nothing its all dead. I prepared a USB Jig and plugged in and followed our expert's guidelines but still no success. The device is still dead. One hunch of mine was drained battery and I put it on charging and observed the back (camera side) was slightly heating up when i checked after couple of hour of charging but the situation remained the same.
Any suggestion to recover this device and what has happened to the device? Is the samsung phone are so fragile? Im personally using Xperia X10i and never faced such problem even bricked its all recoverable via software workarounds.

well i dont know if this will help but ill give it a try. when you plug the phone into the computer does the computer recognize the device? if it does see if it recognizes in odin. if thats all good in odin (gives you a port number) then to flash these files http://www.mediafire.com/?34oxweahfpy53dj
just un rar and follow readme. this may not work for you but a while back i hd a simular problem and this is how i fixed it so try it see if it works. If it does hit thanks.
ps this has also worked on different devices with simular problems but i did it with different files(the ones meant for the proper device form samfirmware.com)

the files i posted will flash bootloaders at the sme time. At least thats what i think the sbl file that it flashes is

well if you read what i posted i clearly said that i had simular problems, meaning ive been to the point where i couldnt get into dl mode or recovery and that is how i fixed it. heres a example; start to flash via odin and unplug while its flashing. Then try to go into dl mode or recovery. You cant! it scared the crap out of me, so i didnt give up and all i had to do is plug it into the computer and i recognized it in odin. so i flashed and there i had it it was fixed

My colleague acquired repair services and recovered the phone because I dont have JTAG/RIFF with me.
Unbrickable mod was hard to try specially modification by shorting resistors from device motherboard.

I didnt understand your messege. Whats a JTAG/RIFF. Should I try the USB Jig on mine?
I hard bricked a SGS I9000B and its not even mine, I mean it wont turn on, wont light up the screen, wont give any working sign, when battery is inserted for a long time the phone warms up. 3 buttons wont work, sliding the battery in and pressing 3 buttons also wont work. Should I try the USB JIG?

Recently, I Had Installed a custom rom on my samsung galaxy note and after a month its usb is not detecting to pc. i send it to a service center and they said it was broken. i will remained it with that problem and used for a few days. i had hard reset that phone because it was lagging. so after that it turns off and turn on with only showing the SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE logo and it wont go to recovery. i tried flashing stock rom in it but it was not detecting (broken usb port) is there any way to resolve this problem.. because service center are saying it was dead but can it be worked again? sorry for my bad english... hope u understand

Try to change the usb port, I don't think you can repair anything without that if you don't have a recovery
