Dual Screen Enabled Htc Media Link Apps? - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I know of the stock htc apps like "watch" making use of that feature, but do any others use the api?
Unless a tweak comes out where I can turn off my screen and still stream, even though this was free, its kinda a piece of screen mirroring junk imho

Need double tap to unlock screen app

Hello app developers,
After seeing MeeGo video demonstrations on Nokia N9, only feature i miss in my HD2 Android is the Double tap on the screen to wake up/unlock.
I accept that the hardware buttons on the HD2 are good, but still this feature and SWkey app/Zmooth app will eliminate use of hardware buttons.
I did ask that developers should try to build apps for this!
It's cool feature I guess!
Except for when its in your pocket calling your wife while you banging your mistress....

3rd party IR remote programs?

Are there any 3rd party IR remote apps that work on the HTC one?
Imagine a TV-B-Gone style app.. automatically cycle through the power off codes :good:
I really like the stock TV app, I just wish you were able to access more buttons than directional arrows, menu and channel.
Subscribed. Looking for one too but no luck so far
Only for TV I think the stock app is enough for me, BUT
I would like to have a remote app wich supports bluetooth (for my PS3.) and IR
That would be really nice! :good:
You can try irdroid.
Haven't gotten my One yet but in theory it might work. It says you'd need the irdroid hardware but they give you the schematics on their site and it looks like a simple ir blaster.

Well the only thing is, and I'm no developer, but I think the program needs to be written specifically to use the HTC one's integrated IR blaster. IR droid seems to work by transmitting a certain signal through the headphone jack, which is then converted into an IR signal
Im working on a TV-B-Gone like app, where the users can scan (learn) codes from a tv remote and upload them with the correct vendor/model tag.
Every other user can acesses the uploaded codes than and will (hopefully) have an universal tv off app.
There will be a rating system, sync code database function etc.
As i am still waiting on my One, i cant test anything IR related. If somebody wants to be alpha tester,
just send a PM and ill contact you when i have something to test(will take a couple of days)

I was looking for one too.. the bundled app, while good, doesnt have all of the devices i would want. I need device profiles for blu ray players, and for media center remotes, so i can control XBMC on my desktop. I already do all of that with my harmony one remote, but you can never have too many options!
Anything the tv app didn't know I just chose no on all the options where it asks did it turn on then manually programmed the phone from a remote no big deal to be honest I know control my lights my fires, xbox, tvs, blu ray player all with the same device

The HTC app doesn't even list Yamaha receivers...that's pathetic.

Yamaha AV Receiver? I've got one of them too, haven't bothered to look it up. Will have a crack at it later on, could be in the generic list.
Not all the models are listed, it's a code system that it runs on, should just be able to find the correct frequency and it should work, but judging from the remote that i've got for my yamaha, i can't see that it's going to work well, there would be quite a few missing buttons.
@lilvfr400boy Just noticed your message there, kind of the same thing i was referring to

Works for my tv but both the bell receiver profiles don't work for either if my receivers... Even if it did though there is no guide button or info or exit, seems like a ****ty remote app HTC made let's hope someone can make a good one and sooner the better

Hi,
is there anyone that knows if is it available an update of Sense TV data base? It seems that my phone does not have the codes for Sky decoder.
There is an app here on XDA called One to remote them all
It had an option to go through all remote codes it has

You can use the HTC sense tv app to control the sky box if that's what your asking? Just need the box manufacture ie. Amstrad or samsung?

[Q] Device turning on automatically after locking it?

That's it. I lock it and almost every time it wakes up again after locking it. What's wrong little htc one?
I notice this too, but only when the TV app is running and I nudge the phone. Perhaps it's the same for you?
If so, there is a setting in the TV app you'll need to disable if you prefer the phone not wake up when it senses motion.

Thanks but I personally don't use that app since it's not supported here in Chile, so that's not causing it I'm afraid.

[Q] IR apps for HTC one

Hey guys,
I have been wondering for a while now what apps are out there that can use the InfraRed sensor on the HTC One.
I tried a few now to see if I could get some of them working with my Nikon D3200 to replace having to carry round my remote.
But none of them seem to work. I have seen some people say that the apps work but I can't seem to get any working.
And after already coughing up about 10 dollars on different apps I thought I would ask you guys for advice seeing as some people are leaving reviews in Play that the apps are working.
Any advice?
are you on the GE edition? If so IR doesn't work.
No on normal HTC one. Im just looking for an app that has Nikon D3200 support

Have you tried ONEtrta? Its pretty awesome, allows debugging of the remote code, and easily learns codes from other remotes. People have used it to learn thermostat remotes, camera remotes, and other unusual remotes.
i have an app called "smart IR remote for HTC One''

+1 Ive used this and its got a ridiculous amount of opportunities.

Any way to get the caller picture to show full screen?

I don't know why it just doesn't out of the box, but I'd like it to.
Any ideas?

Xposed Installer tweaks
Cool. I really wonder why some companies take out things like that. Like the company behind the navigation app Scout decided to take out the ability to rename addresses you added via the phone, making it mandatory to be in front of a computer if you wanted to put a name to a place. That kinda destroys the overall usefulness of the app.
