Model: GT-I9001
Android: 4.2.2 (Liquid-JB-v2.4-OFFICAL) downloaded from XDA.
Kernel: [email protected] #5
PROBLEM: when mob is fully charged and stay on charger starts to dissipate battery. This only happens on custom ROMs,on the gingerbread works fine.
Is it a bug or cell phone has some protection for custom ROMs?

Maybe try to flash with ODIN one 2.3.4 ? I get no battery drain with this one
Hi guys,
I met the same problem on my GT-I9000, please see the attach configuration:
GT-I9000
Firmware version: 2.2.3
Basedband version: I9000XXJVK
Kernel version: 2.6.35.7-I9000XXJVK-CL75655
[email protected]#2
Build number: lidroid-sgs-2.3.4
I charged the cellphone in the evening and played for a while, the battery was left 60% and I fell asleep and turned the cellphone into a flight mode.
4 o'clock in the morning, i was woke up by the low battery notification, only 10% left, what is going on?
Thats a known bug! try to flash 2.3.4!
Try Juice defender
My Galaxy S, after having installed 2.3.3, had the same battery problem.
Waiting for 2.3.4 (expected 3. Q 2011) I installed Juice defender 3.5.6 (free version) and now I have a big improvement in battery capacity !
After switching to "fly modus" in the night I have in the morning the same charge as one day before.
Please try and let me know
Thanx franco, but i tried that too, n i cant keep my fone in flight mode at night, coz i get calls all d tym...... If u can , plz tell me abt wat CMW/CMV is? i hav no idea abt it, n dont even know how to get it. reply apprreciated.

Thanx for ur advice, but i dont know how to do dat. i mean how do i "flash"(wats flash?) odin into it.hod do i get odin n 2.3.4?
This will help
I too had this problem after upgrading to GB...
After searching thoroughly on internet i found that it is a bug in 2.3.3
The solution(temporary) to this problem is that after playing games on ur Galaxy S just turn off and turn on ur device(reboot)..
And do this before sleeping at night.. this will bring back normal usage of ur battery( which is actually better in Gingerbread).
If u don't know much about flashing(like me) just stick to this method till samsung gives an official update. ( i read 2.3.4 is going to be released in this quarter).
hope this solves ur problem(it surely has solved mine)!!!
I also experienced same problem in 2.3.3. Solved now after flashing Ficeto's Jvp rom. you can search for the rom by googling Ficeto's Jvp or darky rom website. Detailed and simple procedure for flashing is also described there.
one thing more i forgot to mention, always flash/ update with 100% battery to avoid battery calibration issue.
Battery draining depend in the kernel too, try semaphore or galaxian then uv it you will be happy with your battery.

Hello, all! I need some help please.

FIRMWARE PDA: LA2/ PHONE: KL2 CSC: KL3
I have tried google search but can't find any info on this model.
Can I flash a Normal stock N7000 with it ???
Also can't find the firmware on samfirmares.com
------------------------------------------------------
Atm: I flashed Netchips cwm it did not root my device and now when I turn on phone the screen is all black with pixelated colours. If I turn it on and swipe my finger on screen it has sound of locksreen swipe, then I turn off power button, then on again sometimes not all times the phone will turn on like normal and everythings works fine.
Does anyone know how to remove netchips kernal v2? and go back to stock?
Thanks in Advance for help!
Hi there.
I got the same problem.
Here is the rom I'm using :
DarkyRom 3.3 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1461794)
And the kernel is that one : 2.6.35.13-franco.Kernel-2
When using the rom, at first, everything is fine. then when turning off next 10 secs, the screen is black with many colors. At first, only one (red), then a few more, and it is going on, more and more, and the screen is "lightning".
I don't know where is the problem but if someone got an idea or any help to give, that would be great ^^'

yeah yeah thats it! Little specks increasing to whiteness.
Is your model N7000B or N7000?
The problem might have something to do with Kernal CWM.
What I did was flash a stock rom from samfirmwares.com but the only problem is I couldn't find the original stock (thl) rom that came with the phone.
being N7000B. FIRMWARE PDA: LA2/ PHONE: KL2 CSC: KL3
Anyhow for now with new stock it is working fine.
ps. something else I have noticed is the photos I took before I flashed the new stock rom when zooming in the pixel of the photo doesn't fix. but when I take new photos and zoom in, it is fine. figures
Same to me, the problem was solved by flashing another rom, but I wonder why it happened.
About the photos? i didn't notice, I just scared something bad could happen to the phone about the problem posted above
N.B : I got a N7000 ;=)
Hi,
I've got the same problem on my wife's phone (White GNote).
Problem not seen on mine. :/
Did you solved it ? (I'm on DarkyRom)
All other rom I've tested don't have this issue.
here is another thread with the same issue.
Edit:
SOLVED !
Flashed new kernel: AbyssNote -> OK
Also tested another version of franco.Kernel with no luck

[Q] Can't charge while powered off

Hey,
I just realized this happens if I plug my charger into my phone while it's off. See attachment for what happens. It's rooted and has cwm. Any ideas?
The attachment seems to be broken for me, so here's a mirror: i.imgur.com/yKIN4.jpg
What ROM/Kernel do you use ? Cause this is a known problem for ICS ROMs based on LP5 kernel.
Oh ok. I thought the offline charging worked on a lower level than the os. Anyway, it's the "[ROM][09.04.12] imilka's CyanogenMod 9 v01 [IMM76D/4.0.4]" I use.

i9000 sometimes turning off without reason

Hello,
Samsung GT-I9000 turns off sometimes without any reason, especially when I am using facebook, twitter, internet etc. and it won't turn on until I remove the battery and put it back also it turned off with old firmware versions as well.
I find that mobile turning off issue exactly when my battery level is below 25%
Mobile batter isn't genuine one but replacement even I had same problem when I had original battery.
Maybe is something wrong with the charger, battery, firmware what should I do ?
Programs installed:
facebook, twitter, skype. whatsapp, barcode scanner
Mobile details:
Firmware version 2.3.3
Baseband version I9000XXJVO
Kernel version 2.6.35.7-I9000XWJVH (if you need continuation tell me)
Build number gingerbread.xwjvh
i think it's becuse of the rom
try to update to jw1 i think it's the best
could you give me exact address where can I find that jw1 rom ? I haven't update in a while, so you might know the best tutorial for that. btw are you using jw1 rom ?
I made an update to XWJW5 2.3.6
and still it's same, maybe it's problem with a battery ? any suggestions?

[ROM][A8][4.2.2] remICS-JB [V6][02/08/13] ~STABLE~

Hi.. hope it's right thread .. So I have an question: can I use this version from 2/08/2013 on my Galaxy S I9000? even if this stable version is for Galaxy SL i9003, because it's same rom as version for I9000?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2300693
I'm asking that because I'm using this version from here which dated for 17/07/13:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2075058
Thanks for answers..
But I think these versions has some problems (mean to 17/07/13) :
1. when phone switched off and charging - there are white battery which is scrolled up-down and do nothing.
2. no phone video calls
3. problems with voice record-crush.
but I like this ROM!! saving a lot of battery life during a day.
