Here's my question I wanna know what is the easiest way to fix the files when flashing back to 4.1.2 sense from a aosp 4.2.2 Rom. I've seen people post in the threads but it's all confusing I like aosp but don't want to f up my storage. I flashed CM10.1 a week ago and didn't even know about it happening ciuldnt fund any files and some how everything got deleted had to Ruu. I want to avoid wiping out my storage just to get things right when I come back to sense so anyone know the most painless way to fix the files when going back thanks

Thats what I do, just copy in your preferred file manager everything to the 0 folder.

In my /persist folder only have the followings:
/drm
/prov
WCNSS_qcom_wlan_nv.bin
I replaced the WCNSS_qcom_wlan_nv.bin with the one you provided, make sure the permission is the same rw-rw- ---. Reboot!!! but my WIFI get dropped and could not connect. I reverted back to the old file and reboot and it came back the way it was before. Am I doing anything wrong?
Thanks

same here. I dont have a qcom folder.
am i to remove the /drm and /prov folder?
WCNSS_qcom_wlan_nv.bin is the only .bin file i have
i think everyone will have different issues. here is what i personally did to have wifi working great. i opened persist folder erased everything in it and pasted the file i uploaded in there. then use rsd lite and returned the phone to stock and wiped everything. then simply just rerooted. the bt_nv.bin is auto generated anyway so it can just be erased. but always for safety before erasing files save to external sd.

Not sure how i did it but I cant get it up and going. Could be my computer, stupidity or after rooting and putting ROMS in 5+ HTC phones this one got the best of me.
I am looking for someone that can help me out via a phone call or even offer to ROM it for me.
Right now I am screwed and just looking for a lil help.
It already is *********TAMPERED********** and ********** UNLOCKED ******
Just cant get a ROM to run and not crash.
Ok, what exactly is it doing/not doing?
Did you put a recovery like TWRP or CAM on it?
Flashing the right ROM? This is the Sprint forum, is it a Sprint phone?
Have you tried the RUU?
What process did you do to make it do what it's doing now?

TWRP is on it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2236620
Kerna: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2282483
Flashed a Sprint ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2282200
Have not tried RUU
I DID accidentally delete the the nandroid backup
Right now it is in a partial run mode and when I go to touch it it reboots.
I must be missing something or gotten really dumb in my old age
Thanks for any and all help !!!!!
I tried the Viper ROM and it froze as well and went into a partial running mode but when I touched the screen it went into a reboot mode.
All I wanted was a nice ROM with NO Blinkfeed and stable.

That's... Odd.
It sounds like you really need to go through the RUU process.
This isn't something I've had to do yet so I can't guide you through what to do, but a tutorial was posted in the development forum. Here is the direct link to that video....good luck!

Blinkfeed is sense-integrated. Your best bet would be to install a custom aosp rom or a custom launcher or just place blinkfeed off to the side of your homescreen to a screen you never scroll too. I myself just use adw launcher

Not sure what the hub bub was about. I linked him a video and that would have ended this thread. *Shrug* complaining just kept it going...
. it IS, in retrospect, annoying that you didn't just do the RUU in the first place because I'm sure it was suggested in your other thread. I didn't know you made 2.
Anyways, glad it worked! Make a backup now, damnit!

Maybe your download of ViperRom was bad, grab it again do a nandroid and flash away. The Rom is great and gets rid of blinkfeed.

Hey guys. My XDA pal built me a MIUI test build. I'll be perfectly honest with you guys, I'm a little gun shy after some people bricked their phones while on AOSP. I kind of want someone else to be the test dummy
If you understand that this is only a test build that has never been tried before AND that the maker of this test build does not have this phone AND if something goes wrong with the flash I or the creator of the test build will not be held responsible.
Ok, that is the first disclaimer I have ever had to write over here. Without further delay...here is the link:
Hopefully one of you guys is more courageous than myself. Logcats would be appreciated. If this build is actually somewhat functional and we provide LOGCATS I'm sure he will continue working on it.
EDIT: I forgot to mention this point: He told me that before flashing this I should delete the NFC.apk. These are the steps:
1. download the test build and confirm MD5.
2. using WinRAR or similar program navigate to SYSTEM>APP>NFC.APK
3. right click and hit DELETE FILES
4. the MIUI Test build zip should now be w/o the NFC.apk
Update: Link has been temporarily pulled until kernel issue is resolved.
Was this built for the Sprint One specifically?
This looks sweet...make sure befpre everyone downloads to check to make sure its actually sprint. Build.prop boot.img updater script etc.
Lemme download n check
Sent from my HTCONE using xda premium
Yes, it was built for the Sprint HTC One. However, he does not have this phone. He based his work off of one of our CM builds. I would imagine that any bug we currently have on CM would be present in this test build.
EDIT: I should add this to the OP but it may be overkill...please make a nandroid before attempting to flash this.
Does he think it would boot because im friekin excited then

Well he wouldn't have made it for me if he thought there was NO chance of it booting. He banged it out pretty fast though so I don't put too much faith into it. If I wasn't such a big wuss I would just flash it...but alas, I am a wuss so I'll let someone more savvy than myself give it a shot first.
Maybe ill wait too. It looks pretty good for the most part. I downloaded it. Well ill wait and see i guess.

At least you had an idea of what things to look for in a possibly working build. I wouldn't know where to start. If you decide to flash it please keep us posted!
You'll want to pull the link. Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, but it seems he had an issue with the kernel. I have yet to come up with the time to fix it, as I just had a long day with the kids. I'll try to look at it when I get home.

I couldn't get WIFI to successfully turn on ? I rebooted and wiped cache/davlik cache and still no success. Everything else seems working really good to be so early !
I was playing around with pimp my rom and probably sis something wrong and ended up in a boot loop. Well I did a back up right before, just to be safe, and when I tried to restore it says md5 mismatch. (I had 3 different back ups but same thing with each). Thanks in advance

Are you using CWM? Did you rename the backup folders? If the folders have spaces in them you will get a mismatch.
Yeah I just renamed them, but I undid it and got it to restore thanks. But I have another problem, the xda app is acting up, when I wanna reply it won't let me hit the previous text to quote unless I click the absolute very bottom. Idk if anyone else has had that problem

Great work, it's efficient which is exactly what this kind if app should be. I think a nice addition would be if it could tell us how large the cache is....if you feel like adding that.

That's the truth. Working on this theme (and some little tweaks) I've bootlooped this thing 2 twice a day this week, I'm so tired of using lg flash tool to restore, really missing my twrp right now.
On a side note I've been working on a deodex stock for everyone to use a base. I was trying to use the stock kdz file, but ask the extract tools are giving me a corrupt cab file, any tips? I prefer to use the untouched base because I've replaced a lot of files on my phone already so it wouldn't a full stock if i just adb pulled my /system
