Not sure how i did it but I cant get it up and going. Could be my computer, stupidity or after rooting and putting ROMS in 5+ HTC phones this one got the best of me.
I am looking for someone that can help me out via a phone call or even offer to ROM it for me.
Right now I am screwed and just looking for a lil help.
It already is *********TAMPERED********** and ********** UNLOCKED ******
Just cant get a ROM to run and not crash.
Ok, what exactly is it doing/not doing?
Did you put a recovery like TWRP or CAM on it?
Flashing the right ROM? This is the Sprint forum, is it a Sprint phone?
Have you tried the RUU?
What process did you do to make it do what it's doing now?

Have not tried RUU
I DID accidentally delete the the nandroid backup
Right now it is in a partial run mode and when I go to touch it it reboots.
I must be missing something or gotten really dumb in my old age
Thanks for any and all help !!!!!
I tried the Viper ROM and it froze as well and went into a partial running mode but when I touched the screen it went into a reboot mode.
All I wanted was a nice ROM with NO Blinkfeed and stable.

That's... Odd.
It sounds like you really need to go through the RUU process.
This isn't something I've had to do yet so I can't guide you through what to do, but a tutorial was posted in the development forum. Here is the direct link to that video....good luck!

Blinkfeed is sense-integrated. Your best bet would be to install a custom aosp rom or a custom launcher or just place blinkfeed off to the side of your homescreen to a screen you never scroll too. I myself just use adw launcher

Not sure what the hub bub was about. I linked him a video and that would have ended this thread. *Shrug* complaining just kept it going...
. it IS, in retrospect, annoying that you didn't just do the RUU in the first place because I'm sure it was suggested in your other thread. I didn't know you made 2.
Anyways, glad it worked! Make a backup now, damnit!

Maybe your download of ViperRom was bad, grab it again do a nandroid and flash away. The Rom is great and gets rid of blinkfeed.

Man, Football you are the man! You got us a working replacement Best Buy HTC Flyer RUU to revert back to GB from HC when HTC had nothing (still doesn't), now this... Thanks again!
This is important how?
Not asked sarcastically, as a beginner. This RUU is the stock loading tool? Can it be loaded and not lose root? These are the first two questions that hit me first. Is this the way to return the Dinc to stock form?
Yes, this is the way to return your Dinc to stock. Although I don't think it touches your S-off if your boot loader is s-off.

Honestly, it's never a good idea to run an RUU if you are concerned about root.

True. If you want this, but still want root, use Wildstang's rooted OTA. Like he said, he built if from this (or based it off this, mind my ignorance as I'm thinking it means the same thing).
After Running so many different Roms over the last year, if kinda feels good to stick with a stock rom for a while......with a few mods
Many thanks Football for keeping us up to snuff on the RUU's throughout the life of this phone. Much appreciated.

Just an RUU wont change the bootloader security flags. You have to run S-ON from Unrevoked to get it back on. So it should be fine.

The easiest way ( for me at least) to flash a boot.IMG (kernel) is with Flashimagegui. It's available in the market.......ahem, google play for a buck. Or the creator of the SW has a dl link in his thread for free.

Go into HBOOT (if you don't know how, go look for it! Not handholding you all the way through this), and re-unlock your bootloader. It should boot back into whatever custom ROM you had before.
If you weren't on a custom ROM, download the ICS RUU (or an old GB one) and pray that it works.
If it doesn't work, congratulations, you're the proud owner of a brick! Learn your lesson, and READ next time!

For future reference, its not a brick if you can still power on. If you can get it even to power on, most of the time you can fix it. If you do something and it wont power on, youre done. Soft Brick v. Hard Brick.

Thanks for the help! I actually flashed the kernel without even knowing it and the rom flashed just fine.
In a quest for a customizable ROM that was built upon ICS, I came across Elegancia's Pegasus, and I thought I would give it a try. To my horror, the ROM was incredibly UGLY (no offense) and I decided to reboot into recovery. As I did, the recovery page launched for about a split second before hitting the white HTC Screen of Death. So, I rebooted it, and now I'm stuck in an Elegancia bootloop that won't end.
And so my predicament: I can't recover, nor can I boot. What to do from here? Through the piece of garbage away?
nvm this
Schoutse said:
You can still boot into bootloader right?
You need to relock bootloader and run an RUU.
To do so boot into bootloader (volume down + power button), then choose fastboot and connect it with the cable to your computer.
On your computer run the fastboot.exe and type the command "fastboot oem lock" without the quotations.
Then find an RUU here:
Holiday RUU's
and choose one of your carrier.
Run the .exe and when its finished you have the stock rom again.
If you want to get a custom rom do all the steps for flashing roms again and unlock bootloader again.
I think this is how it works.
Edit: you will lose your data..

No need to do all that... Fastboot erase cache will fix the issue. Then re-flash your recovery and you are set.

I tried to install a rom on my htc one, which I later learned was for gsm devices only. This action got me caught in a bootloop. So I tried to install ruu 1.29...the problem is my image version is 1.31.....so I idiotically deleted all my phones data during my attempted installation and it still didn't return my htc one to stock form.I unlocked my bootloader again and reflashed twrp.both work fine.but my pc doesn't recognize my phone when I plug it in via usb.WHAT DO I DO???!!!!
P.S.: yes, I am a noob.:

Sorry, but there seems to be a new post every other day about people borking their Sprint phones because they flash a Rom from the "HTC One" forum.
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:
-------------------------------------
ROMS from the international forums WILL mess up your phone and you will be lucky to fix it after that! I get you want the shiny new 4.2.2 but those ROMS will not --I repeat-- WILL NOT WORK ON THE SPRINT HTC ONE.
Sure, they used to, but once they moved onto 4.2.2 they will not flash.
I feel this should be sticky in every thread on the Sprint HTC One forum.

Would this be helpful to anyone? It's kind of on/off topic... A direct link to HTC's copy of the HTC One update for Europe?
And by a direct link, I mean an HTC URL?
I mean, the proof is in the pudding...by which I mean the constant stream of "bricked plz help" threads.
So all of these stupid people that aren't reading prior to flashing and you think they are going to magically read this? I really hope this prevents a few but I doubt it.

From what I've seen all the major ROM's say in some fashion or another that it won't work for Sprint so it's mostly people just not reading. Maybe they could make the font about it possibly destroying phones if you are on Sprint bigger...and flashing...surrounded by naked women. Then maybe people will see it.
Unless your a Dev or know what your doing I wouldn't flash non sprint things... I know the partition labels and boot.IMG stuff so I have gotten things to work but not for a noobie
