[Q] Anyone know please feel free to reply thanks

i been posting almost on every forum with no luck, so please help. so far i have seen more than 1 way of rooting the tablet my question is which is the best way of rooting it. i been reading for days and no luck yet...also my i have a vzw tab
Whichever way works for you is the best. Z4Root is the easiest route to take but didn't work in my VZW tab so I had to go the long route with hiking out up to my laptop etc.. Try Z4 first, off it doesn't work then go the long way.

Difficult to enable phone & unlock on US Tab?

Hello all.... I have the opportunity to trade my Dell Streak 5 (unlocked), for a Galaxy Tab (7-inch version). It's a US aTnT version running stock firmware. I'd really like to have it..... but I would need it to work as a phone (using headphone), and on T-Mobile.
I don't have a grasp of the nuts and bolts in these matters, and upon some light research, I see this process could easily overwhelm me.... Question is this: Would it be worth the trouble to root, enable phone feature and then unlock it or should I just keep looking? Thanks all!

I just got on to see the same thing. I have unlocked rooted T-Mobile Galaxy S tab but have left T-Mobile and am with AT&T now and anted to use my tab. I was hoping to find somethng here before just sticking my new sim in. Chances are I'll do try it regardless. I'll post what happens once I do unless I read otherwise.

For what it is worth,
I was going to answer but I know nothing of CDMA tab.
That is the problem. Most Asia, africa, middle east, latin america and europe use GSM.

No principle of places like here is to help.
Maybe that's Sammy plan divide and conquer with so many flavors it's hard, plus device is getting old

SPH-P100 & SCHi800 (Sprint & Verizon) rooting problem
Please share how you solved this. I have been trying for a few weeks now and both fail with SuperOneClick and both hang at step 7 also. I have since rooted on the same two PC's with SuperOneClick a couple of other devices. I had almost given up since nothing seems to have been posted this year or even late last year, but just saw this thread. I assume there has been an update applied to these devices since last rooting technique. Please, please share the resolution!
Thanks in advance.

It is exactly like p1000
But the modem radio is different.
It is the only one that allow user to get 3g on tmob network.

[Q] P1 tab (T-Mo) Update question

Hey all I have a rather Noob question for the Galaxy Tab (p1) people.
So what is the difference in the roms for all the different tabs? I see a lot for the P1000, P1C, P1N etc etc.
Anyway I just got this tab from a buddy and I would like to get it off of froyo. He said that he had it on CM7 or something like that but revereted it to stock before he sold it to me. Anyway it is rooted, but has stock recovery, and froyo......
I would like to get it to the most recent stable CM available. It's going to my wife and I'm not going to be able to touch it again...... I have my TouchPad and GS3 to play with.
anyway I haven't seen any good guides on how to get this beast updated so could you please point me in the right direction, I've been searching but probably in the wrong places.
thanks.
Steve
The difference is where the tabs are from. Ex. P1000 is europe (gsm), p1000L is latin america, P1000c or P1C is usa- verizon/sprint(cdma). I dont remember the t-mo type. T-mo is gsm though. To find the right cyanogen mod rom type in the model. The verizon tab is sch-i800. should be on the back of the tab. Have fun.

I have a sgh-t849.
Treat it like a P1000 especially if you aren't going to use it with T-Mobile network.
If you do, beware that you only get 3G with t-mobile modem and no voice call.
Or you can use JPZ modem to get voice call but only 2G.
Follow overcome guide in my signature to get you going.
