Can anyone here please get this awesome GBA and SNES emulator (PocketSnes) working?

First, the courts have repeatedly ruled that emulators are absolutely, perfectly 100% legal. There is NO grey area about this at all. Talking about emulators is not a legal issue at all.
Roms however are illegal to share or download so discussing where to get them, what torrents to get them in is not acceptable and so please absolutely no discussion of roms here.
My question relates to the Gameboy Advance and Super Nintendo emulator found here...
http://www.pocketsnes.net/ (I don't think this is the latest version but I can't find a newer version).
It's a program that lets me play backed up copies of gameboy advance and super nintendo games that I own on my mobile phone.
While the program worked perfectly fine on previous generation HTC phone, I can't get it to work here.
Could someone with some software experience please work on, or figure out what the problem is and why we can't get it running on this particular HTC phone.
It's honestly the only drawback to upgrading to the Kaiser so I would love to have it fixed.
Thank you.
The problem is more than likely to do with the much talked about video driver issues. Until an official fix is released or another way to get the video hardware running properly there's not really much that you can do. I've managed to run a SNES emulator on my Kaiser at a pace slightly slower than a snail's .
On the other hand, emulation of the original NES console games along with the Gameboy/Gameboy Color seems to work perfectly for me. Maybe give that a try if you can put up with the not-quite-so-good graphics?
Its going to play terribly because of the acceleration problems with our phones, My 6700 used to play them perfectly with out sound.. well except GBA but SNES was flawless without sound.. I just cant wait for someone with the intelligence and skills to come out with a fix for this problem, he/she should definitely become well known after that creation.
mine runs pretty smooth...i have had no problems yet
Wait, you have PocketSnes working!!! If so, could you tell me where you downloaded it from please. Thank you.
I'm 95% sure that the sourcecode for pocketsnes was released years ago.
The old program was written for Windows Mobile (the same OS we have now).
Could someone maybe recompile it in whatever language works with qualcomm processers (I have no idea how to do this but I'm hoping it can be done by some brilliant coder out there).
I will happily contribute to a paypal account for whoever can pull that off as I am sure many others will.

[Q] Has anyone been able to get storm8 games to work?

Specifically World War. It's killing me that it doesn't work enough to play. Why does it display correctly on other android gadgets?
Bump bump bumpity bump.
Sorry, fell to second page and am really hoping someone has a fix.
I can't even load imobster or world war.
They FC right away on tnt lite 4.4.
For other games that use storm8 id, they work....until you close them. They I have to start from scratch again.
I wonder if those games work on vegan.
I actually got a response from the technical support.
They just told me it's my device and the OS. Well, since it doesn't work on any rom, I assume they are referring to the device
I'm using the gtablet with cm 7 and I get DC as soon as I open any w8 game. I think it may have something to do with the display... But I am far from an Android expert, it's just an assumption. I hope there is a fix for it soon.

Plants Vs Zombies

Has anyone gotten this to work on their Touchpad with Cm9? It won't download server data for me.
Yes, I just upgraded to the 8/19 nightly (From A2). After reading your thread I played short round just to verify that it does work. Sorry.
Humble Bundle Issues
A bit of thread necromancy I admit, but there are only a couple of posts on the game.
Bought the recent Humble Bundle which includes Plants vs. Zombies. Game installs and runs relatively fine (although a bit of the right part of the screen is cut off, as if the game believes the tablet is widescreen). There is a flaw however on the roof levels, where the level is automatically lost -- sometimes at the very beginning of the level -- and it seems to be triggered by a zombie dropping onto specific grid squares. All (40ish) previous levels ran just fine, problem only occurs on the roof.
Has anyone else encountered this, whether with the Humble Bundle or Amazon Martketplace version? Any ideas for possible workarounds?
I am using the latest (as of 03/31) version of the game from humble bundle on cm9 tenderloin, and the issue exists for both 02/03/13 and 03/24/13 tenderloin builds.

Can't be avoided as far as I know. I never found a way to get past that. I've tried all different versions and it made no difference you would get auto killed by the bungee zombies on the roof. Sorry man. I got it on my iPad and it works great

Has anyone had trouble with this game (or others) with the 10 or 10.1 build? I am considering installing that, but I'm curious to hear about any potential issues like this.
Thanks!

[Q] some interesting things you can do with rooted tablet

I'm still new to all of this, recently rooted and did a pacman by nightlies mod. mainly needed access to school wifi, stock apps wouldn't let me join the wifi, wouldn't recognize my device now it does. so thanks to everyone for that! Was curious what else there is to do, lately iv just been playing some snes roms and watching some animes with the vlc app. was curious what exactly chainfire 3d is and what its used for, maybe the background 3d effects or maybe for certain games.
thought maybe id ask what are some of the other things I could explore or maybe learn more about. any recommendations?

[Q] Playstation 2 games on my Z1

Hello folks,
I've recently bought the Sony Xperia Z1 and I'm overloaded with questions, I'm trying to figure out a lot myself, but sometimes I need help A friend told me XDA was the place to be, so here I am.
As the title says, I'm wondering if there is some sort of a PS2 emulotar available, I've had the for gameboy advance etc, but now that I've gotten one of the better phones, I wondered if I could get better games aswell
I've seen people play FFX and GTA 3 and many other games. But couldn't figure out how they did it.
Any hints?
greetings
I'm not aware of any current PS2 emulator, i may be proved wrong. (google playstation emulators for android) you do have FPse for android though.
but for GTA and FFX, look in the play stores for games, you have GTA vice city and GTA.

I'm aware there are paid versions of GTA around, so maybe that was a bad example. But what about FFX? Or is that some kind of stream? I suppose it is..
ANyway, thanks for pointing it out it doesn't exist a shame though.
What are the perks of having your PS3 account sync'd with your Z1 then? I did this via sony entertainment network, but yet have to find the perks of this..
Thanks again,
Greetings

do you have the playstation mobile app? if not maybe you can try this.
http://playstation.com/psm/certified.html
Syncing with Ps3 to Z1 is so that you can connect with your online Ps3 friends, or get updated with some of your online ps3 games (scores, level, etc)... there are a few apps that you can install to do that like MYNBA2k13... etc...

You can't emulate PS2 games in Z1. PS2 is a very complex console and even Snapdragon 800 can't handle it. You remember PCSX2 - A PS2 emulator for PC? It's in development stages for almost 10 years and haven't seen a final release until now. The development team behind PCSX2 claims that, PS2 is a vey complex console to emulate compared to that of PSOne as many have of the hardware features have to be emulated in real time which is currently not stable and that's why. Though being in development for 10 years, PCSX2 doesn't support ALL PS2 games (80% will work) either. From above you can guess for android. In order to emulate PS2 games in android, it needs a far more powerful processor than S800 and gigs of memory which might seem impossible as of now. Even if the hardware in our Smartphones matches PS2 in the near future, writing an emulator though is very much of a hassle and will be full of bugs rendering the emulator useless. Guess the emulator era are over for Android with PSOne, period.
Alright, thanks both for the clarifications. I'll try the app.
Cheers!

Not true there's ppsspp. There's Drastic. Don't expect much from Dolphin yet though. Ps2 emulation is impossible at the moment though.

Didn't I mention it's true for PS2 alone? The last point I mentioned is for full consoles and not portable ones. I know there's emulators for PSP and DS.

Wasn't meant to argue. Just to inform. I consider portables..... Portable consoles. No harm intended.
