Blue line appears on screen when I swipe finger across it - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey, I need help. My phone started acting up. There are a collection of 7 sets of digits on the top of the screen and when I swipe my finger across the screen it leaves a blue trail that only disappears when I tap it again. The digits have some thing to do with where the screen is being touched. Also, where ever I tap the screen a horizontal and vertical line appears and goes when I take my finger off. Anyone encountered this? Do I need to restore factory settings?
Thanks,
Brendan

go to settings>developer options and uncheck basically everything besides "allow debugging", if there is still an issue continue to settings>developer options>advanced and uncheck everything besides "show all animations"
im saying this all off memory so what you see might be slightly different from what im saying.

I must have hit it by accident. This started to happen after I had my phone connected to the laptop. Delighted, it has been annoying me for nearly 2 days.

Touchscreen Sensibility

I am noticing that when I Scroll through a webpage or android settings (really anything that involves scrolling), when I start the scrolling, the phone shows visual feedback as if I was just tapping, It does not tap, but it looks like I was tapping. Has anyone noticed this? Is as if I have to put my finger really strong on the phone to avoid this.
If Im not being totally clear, I can make a video.
I've notice some issues with low touchscreen sensitivity. You can see the value for yourself.
Activate developer options and check the 'pointer locations' check box. Then try to touch the screen as light as you can, don't swipt. See what your PRS number is at the top of the screen.
I get to 0.85 minimum

I've never noticed a lack of sensitivity. I did try your test though and can repeatedly get 0.77.

That's interesting, I get .85 only when really trying so more often than not it's 0.96+
What model and OS are you using?
I notice the touch screen mostly with the official YouTube app, if I drag down a video window and try to swipe it left to close it

I have tried this test. I can get .77 only once or twice, all of the other times were .85 or .88 . ¿Do we know what value we should be seeing? Is there a way to calibrate this? Can temperature affect this sensibility?

Problem in the status bar

Has anyone had this problem of the status bar does not go down with the vertical mode screen on the Xperia Z3 compact? Only down after a long drag your finger on the screen, but the strange thing is that in landscape mode screen down normally. What can it be? Can someone help me?

are you sure the upper part of the touch screen is working properly? that was my problem and i don't recall dropping my phone too hard to mess up the touch screen....did factory reset and nope it was definitely the touchscreen
My already dropped some times, but there is nothing wrong in its outside and its functionality remains excellent taking this error now. And the status bar down the normal horizontally, so it's not the hardware. It's a software bug and also does little more than a year have the appliance. I've seen some reports of the same problem in the Xperia line on the Internet, just not speak the solution exactly. I took an original firmware and put one here too, I do not know if it has to do with the problem.
the top of the screen is the normal friend, as I said, the landscape mode screen functions normally, even when I'm playing a game, the problem is a software error, if the display hardware would have committed it all
Can I get rid of it, if I install any custom ROM?
It doesn't work... plz help me... my ph is sony xperia z3 model no: D6653
Anyone who cannot swipe down notifications or quick settings, due to a broken digitiser, can follow these instructions:
[emoji7]
Download 'All in one Gestures' app from the playstore.
Go to the 'SWIPE' tab.
Enable.
Under 'Edges' , select 'Top Area'.
Then via the apps settings, choose 'Personalization'.
Now under 'Swipe Area', go into 'Edge Preference.
Make 'Opacity' 0%
With 'Edge Sensitivity' start from 0% and keep moving the slide left until the swipe down works, mine is set at 90px.
'Edge Width' 100%
'Swipe Distance' 0%
Now under 'Touch Feedback' turn off both 'Toast Message' and 'Animation'.
Then turn down 'Vibration Intensity' to '0'
Done.
You now have the screen functioning as normal.

Screen Turns on in pocket

Screen turns on in pocket opens apps, edits notes in Keep ect. I've had the Note 8 since they first came out but this just started 2 months ago. Is there a setting I'm missing? Any ideas?
Thanks
Yes, there is a setting exactly to avoid "unwanted touches in dark places as pockets or bags" look for it in settings, display
Thanks, Already got the unwanted touches on.

Already,,, no use.
Now safe mode tried and no screen wakeup.
It means some third party app issue.
I'm trying to figure out which app exactly.
I had this with my wife's phone.... Screen literally cam on everytime the phone was moved.... She has a flip case, which i assumed was the culprit, and i could see the screen pop on even if she moved the phone to one side a little...
I found the answer to our solution in the settings somewhere under advanced features/motion and gestures.... Untick all that lift to wake crap!
Screen stays off now until you press power button or double tap screen...

I tried the same already but problem was still there.
Since once I reboot into safe mode, there w no issue. then started apps one by one in normal mode,,,, now not facing issue. I suspect one or two third party apps. Still not finalised which app exactly as these apps got updated meanwhile.
Any way thanks,,,,
my issue already resolved.

Question Moto display waking up too often

Hello, i found that the moto display shows up too often. For example, my phone is laying on the table playing a song from spotify with the screen turned off. If the volume is quite high it happens that the vibrations from the phone speakers are strong enough to activate the moto display. It's annoying and batter draining i guess... Any solution? Thanks
Yes, I experienced the same. Pick up to wake is too sensitive, so with just a minimal vibration the screen turns on. I switched this option of and only have the option 'tap to wake' activated.
