Stuck on HTC Quietly Brilliant Screen - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello fellow ROM flashers,
So I got myself stuck on the HTC Quietly Brilliant Screen. I was in TWRP and I did a full wipe of everything on the phone. Apparently that also wipes your recovery. I was able to get into Fastboot after wiping, but I hit reboot thinking it would reboot me into Recovery. Instead it rebooted me into the HTC Quietly Brilliant Screen where it has been stuck for the past 15 min. I've tried all possible combinations of holding the volume buttons and power button but no luck. I think if I can manage to get back to fastboot I can reflash TWRP and then be able to get a ROM onto /sdcard with ADB commands. But how do I get out of the white HTC screen?
TL;DR: Stuck on white HTC Quietly Brilliant screen. Tried holding down all possible button combinations with no luck. Any suggestions?

Figured it out. The phone has to be in bright light for the button combinations to work. HTC did it this way so you couldn't accidentally hit the buttons in your dark pocket. All credit goes to someone in another thread that I can't find right now

[Q] Am I bricked?

MODS - PLEASE DELETE, SEE BELOW
Hello all,
I was working with my gf's CDMA Hero and I think that I have turned it into a brick. Here's the rundown of what will and will not happen...
WILL:
- power up to HTC logo screen. Occasionally will reboot on its own to HTC logo screen.
WON'T
- boot into recovery ROM by holding down HOME button when powering up. Was using Clockwork 3.0.0.5.
- boot into fastboot mode by holding down VOL DOWN button when powering up.
- boot into hboot mode by holding down VOL UP button when powering up.
- boot into OS. Was using CyanogenMod 6.1.0.
- initiate factory reset by holding down HOME and BACK buttons when powering up.
- restore via HTC Sprint RUU installer.
- appear as visible to ADB.
All the threads I've looked through so far seem to indicate that if you get an HTC screen, you aren't bricked. On the other hand, none of those threads have described the situation I'm in. Please help!
UPDATE - Moments after posting this, I was able to get back into the recovery mode and RUU'd the lil' bastard.

[Q] Stuck on HTC logo. Seems bricked. Help?

Hey everyone, first time here! (And unfortunately not a happy first post)
So, I recently got this HTC One and was trying to get back to stock ROM after a journey with CyanogenMod 10.1 (Which was awesome, but a bit laggy).
Now, I wanted to go back to stock, and so I flashed this ROM I found on these forums (that said to be a .401 version that was stock and the most recent version). Biggest problem here, I'm pretty sure I forgot to wipe data and cache.
The problem that I have right now is that my phone is stuck on the HTC logo, without me being able to shut it down...at all.
I can't boot to bootloader, can't boot to recovery, can't do anything
When I press on the power button (Tried up to a minute) the back and home button start blinking, but nothing else.
When connected to my computer, the PC seems to detect it, but I'm not able to access the storage, or do anything fastboot related.
I'm kinda afraid my phone is bricked!
Help?
Thanks
Rule #1: if it does anything.. It's not bricked
You need to hold the light sensor up to a light source (lamp, sun, and etc..) and hold down the power button till it turns off. Then boot into bootloader and get to your recovery and wipe/re flash

Wow! Thanks for quick response!
I was able to shut down the phone and get it to restart, but I'm not able to boot into the bootloader (holding volume down)
It just goes back to the HTC Screen (the one with Beats logo)
Just want to say thanks a ton!
I was able to boot back in the phone!
Thank you!
Lucky you! Rule #2....whenever rooting your stock ROM for the first time, boot up, then take a Nandroid, and keep one copy on SDcard and your computer!
And maybe going first with popular and proven Custom ROMs, close to stock. And taking a Nandroid of that one as well!
Glad you got it all sorted

Awesome! Thanks for the tips!
Weird thing, I was able to flash Cyanogen, no problemo (since I didn't forget to wipe cache, etc.)
The other ROM I used was supposed to be a stock image (I had found another one that worked, but I thought the one I found later tonight was closer to the version that came with the phone).
Anyway, long story short, I'm a noob, and that's ok!
Thanks to everyone for the help!

Thanks for this, phone just randomly restarted after a crash and ended up at an error screen. No matter how long I held the power button down it wouldn't restart. I'm in a dark hotel room, so held it up to the window and it restarted immediately. 30 minutes of panic over

Wow. I have to say I was stuck at the HTC Boot logo to no avail (blinking capacitive buttons) and holding it up to a light source actually worked (while holding down power). Thanks so much.

Stuck in ROM install load screen- Can't get to Bootloader

I posted this in ATT HTC One, but it's not getting any attention.
Unlocked and rooted my phone last night using the latest version of TWRP. I mistakenly (not knowing at the time) used the Cyanogenmod installer kit which gave me an error during install. Now my phone is stuck on that spinning CM loading screen. When I go to get into the bootloader (power + volume down) my phone restarts and goes to the bright HTC screen with the red writing on the bottom, then goes right back to the CM loading screen and not into the bootloader menu like I want.
I have not yet tried the trick of holding the phone near bright lights to try and get it into bootloader. The USB cable I think is fine as well and not a cause of anything.
Any suggestions please? I have searched through this forum a lot, but haven't found this exact problem yet.

Ok you dont need to worry abt this. You need to Press (Power + Volume Down) till your phone restarts and then just leave the power button but keep holding the volume down button and it will take you to the Fastboot Mode and from there you can go to recovery and flash another Compatible ROM or do RUU. Hope it helps:good:
Thank you! I will try this tonight.
Others have also said I need to do this under a bright light, too.

I had a similar problem with my phone.
What I did was instead of trying to get into recovery, I just went to fastboot and flashed the recovery image again and it work.
You may want to try that. (Flash the custom recovery again).
He cant do that, dont try flash recovery, your bootloader is locked, it wont work.
Hold volume down and power button, you will see home and back flash at the bottom, just keep holding till your phone goes off, then hold then volume down only as the phone restarts, should take you into the bootloader.
What did you do to get it stuck in a boot loop ?

I seem to have a similar issue. The problem is that I do not have enough time to select recovery (nor any other option) from the bootloader menu. The phone reboots again before I can choose and confirm my selection. Any pointers?

You have bootloop in the bootloader? If yes then you have a serious problem, probably hard bricked.

My HTC One is soft-bricked(?) and i have no idea what to do

Hello,
My phone is not rooted. All i've been doing is downloading apps. It was still on factory setting, with no custom roms. I've been keeping up w/ the updates and i don't recall anything "special" happening before it was bricked yesterday night.
I tried accessing the fastboot screen (vol down + power button), and tried recovering, rebooting, and factory resetting, and they all sent it back to a freezing boot screen.
Using Hasoon2000's HTC One All-In-One Toolkit, I tried to boot it into bootloader, after a couple of hours, I saw a black screen w/ a red triangle in the middle, and after that, it just went back to being frozen at the Htc boot screen.
I have no idea what to do, any suggestions would help.
Thank You

Unzip this to your desktop and open a command window from it's folder (right click - command prompt here)
plug in your phone to the pc boot to the bootloader with power + volume down
type fastboot devices
your phone serial number should be listed
now type fastboot erase cache
it should say something about formatting cache
now fastboot reboot
hopefully your phone will boot back up
