I use the 'medium' flipboard-widget on my Z's homescreen. After 30 mins the letters become abnormally big, so big, I can't even read the articles' titles anymore. (See attachment) Never had this problem on my GS3, so pretty sure it's a Z bug. Also, reinstalling it makes no difference (neither replacing it nor fully reinstall it from playstore), it keeps on displaying articles like this. It occurs on .434 as well as .253 (stock). Does anyone know a solution?

I'm facing the same issue as well though it has never happened on the note 2.
Yeah, really think it has something to do with the Z. I like the flipboard widget a lot, don't want to replace it

Hello i searched the forum but i didn't find any solutions, so please help me. My phone started to self touching the screen it opens applications, settings, alarm, and clock. When i receive a call it rejects it alone and send the standard rejecting messages.I turn off the screen, wait 2-3 second and then works fine. I removed the display film, cleaned the screen but for nothing. The problem persist. I have stock android 4.4.4 . I think the digitizer sensibility is to high...please help me...

Do you have the problem in other ROMs?
TapaTalked from my MultiROM Xperia™ Z (C660²) running Dirty Unicorns OR PAC MAN ROM!
I didn' t try yet to install custom roms, but i don't understand why this problem...:crying:
A friend of mine has that on his z1,searched a little over there and the z1 has that hardware bug,and he needs to sent it to get repaired, hope thats not the case for you
You should either try a factory reset, or reflash your current ROM. If the problem persists, it could be due to a faulty hardware (got wet?).
Maybe try another screen-protector? Had a similar issue with my Defy - without screen-protector it was hardly usable (too sensitive).

I restored factory settings but still the problem. It started from 4.4.3 and persisted after official update 4.4.4 . Didn t get wet, only sweat from hands...i read about modifying touchsreen sensivity on a custom rom file...on z ultra...maybe will work for me to.
Hardware fault

Hi, any solution? I ve got the same problem with ghost touchpad on my XZ After screen replacment
Same here with xperia zl...
As the title suggests, how is your experience with the latest firmware? What have been improved. Which are the downsides. At the end of the Day, is it worth updating, or better wait?
TL;DR
Update definitely recommended. No camera issues anymore, faster operating speed, only sporadic misfunction of SD card. Fixed by reinserting it/restart.
I'll definitely recommend anyone to update, so far I'm genuinely happy with the update. No more annoying camera failures, much faster operating speed and Android 5 sweetness. It always blows my mind how pressing the camera button actually works as a shortcut for opening the camera now, takes about 1 sec to open and snap! Picture taken. Only problem I've encountered so far is that sometimes the OS somehow loses write privileges for the SD card, leading to apps like play music not to work properly, dunno how apps that are saved on the SD card react to this, weirdly, file managers like total Commander can still read the card but no more write privileges. Solution is to eject SD card and putting it back in, a restart works, too. I'll have to look further into that bug tho.

I have issues with the Cache. When I look at the recent Tab I have Maybe 10 Apps here. The Cache is full and all this slow down the Xperia. The icon don't load anymore. Then I must close all Apps and it runs normal. Under KitKat no problems like this...

That was the first thing I have make after flashing...
I have Lollipop for over a week now. Installed a pre rooted firmware to get 120 fps, 4K, face in camera, smart call handling, smart backlight and all the goodies. Before installing any of these, I wiped all caches. The battery drainage is greater, at least for me, now. Phone isn't lagging at all. Camera is indeed fast. My main issue is the battery life that has worsened.
Apart from that I would say go on and update.

This is the thread I used. It requires a rooted kitkat rom.
After that check for 120 fps and 4k for Z1 lollipop and the other stuff.
I think it's all located in Xperia Z1 themes and apps.
Follow the instructions in each thread and everything should go fine.
Done everything in one take with no bricks or bootloops whatsoever.
What about overheating? Has this been controlled. Also, what do you think about the camera, especialy in low light conditions? Have been improved?

The low light camera is the same to me
For the over heating, the only way I "fixed" it was to use pimp my z1 app, set GPU governor to power save. It will seldom overheat while playing games

Bluetooth finally fixed. No more stuttering on Aptt-X devices, no more having to turn Bluetooth off and on again when connecting headphones. :good:

If am correct, the powersave governor, locks the processor to its lowest clock speed. So have you noticed any impact on framerates??
Xperia z1 c6906 LOLLIPOP Battery Drain
I have updated my Xperia z1 C6906 to android 5.0 rooted however the battery life has worsened. Android OS is using around 50-55% of the battery with "Mobile Radio Active" using the battery most of the time for each of the apps. Is there a solution for this since battery life is more important to me rather than being on lollipop.
