As its not possible (yet) to unlock all boot loader. Is there any possibility to flash custom ROMs using flashtool and ftf files instead of the recovery method? Just wondered cos I have a locked boot loader and really want cm10 on my lovely new phone!!

I rooted my Xperia TL and just dl nova launcher prime so you get all the TL goodies and the AOSP ui

But that still does not give you a new rom. A new rom is completely different to just changing the UI, thats just theming.

THIS RECOVERY SHOULD BE USED ONLY ON RAZRHD WITH A UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER
Maybe you want to be sure this recovery will work and will not damage your phone. I suggest all installing this to make some tests with /cache partition: copy some file to /cache, execute a backup from recovery, format it and execute an advanced restore through recovery.

I can't tell you it will work on XT926, I only have a XT925 to test. As far as I know, basically, the difference between XT925 and XT926 is the unlockable bootloader the XT925 has. If you have a XT926 with a unlocked bootloader, do a good research and ask other people too. I can help you with information about my work.
Its only unlocked because it is the developer edition... I will look/ask around. Thanks.

Mine it's not reverting... Did you tried to answer the question (disable stock recovery flash) when you exit the recovery ?
So far everything I have read say XT925 and XT926 are identical... minus the bootloader.

Havent tested yet... sending phone back.. its defective... can't test till next weekend most likely... sorry.. will post back when I know or find someone else with a dev edition to test.

This recovery backup and restores the boot partition (kernel). The best way to use a recovery with a locked bootloader is the safestrap or 2nd init.
As far as I know, the recovery partition can't be flashed on a motorola with locked bootloader (normally the recovery partition is locked too), I think the RazrHD works this way too.

Surprisingly, i cant find any deodexed for Z with LOCKED bootloader.

According to the rom thread, it contains DooMLoRD's Advance Stock Kernel v7 which is for unlocked bootloaders only (unless I'm missing something).

So, if the above is true, flashing that rom to a device with a locked bootloader would result in a soft brick.

Hello RAZR HD owners.
I have a request, I unfortunately took the update that has locked my bootloader. I have searched the forum for active links for compatible roms.. I am having no luck. My request, if you have them, post a link to download rom/and what you liked or didn't like about them.

Right now I'm running Nexesque on my XT926 with 9.18.79 and locked bootloader. It's a stock-based 4.1.2 of course but it's debloated, its rock solid, the battery life is good and I've flashed the add-on that removes the Navigation Bar (I use PIE Control). http://www.droidrzr.com/index.php/topic/9151-rom-droid-nexesque-for-razr-hd-5182013/

I've also run a version of wWidow HD that's based on 4.1.1. I didn't run it for long but I didn't see any real problems. I installed each of these ROMs (wWidow and Nexesque) in RAM slots on Safestrap and toggled back and forth for a couple of days. Well it's too late now! You need to root, then unlock with the droid RAZR utility, then flash recovery manually via fastboot.

I feel your pain Im in the same boat. I want to bring my ROM series here and I can't quite yet due to this bootloader security fix. Their has to be some vulnerability. If someone finds it and has a way to unlock our devices ill be forever in their debt xD

Download newest firmware, remove md5 from extension - open it with winrar or 7zip. Pull out system.img.md5, remove its md5 too and use this to extract it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2294909
Deodex files after that... I think that we do not have deodexed system files from newer firmwares.

Not sure if this will help you but it is the latest firmware with newest build date: 09.01.2014, UBLPK for argentina and is unbranded. Go HERE. Hope it helps.
