Random Reboots - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
so I sent my mobile phone in to samsung because of some problems including random reboots. They fixed every problem so I thought I can go ahead and install a custom rom again. I installed jelly bam but had random reboots so I thought it is because the rom is broken somehow so I installed cyanogen mod.. But I have the same problem there, too.
I wiped dalvik cache and formatted system, cache and data before installing the rom... i read somewhere that it could be a virus so i checked with avg but no results... what else could be the problem of the random reboots

Market downloading problems

I have had this issue before and it seemed to dissapear itself after flashing rom update, at the time Cyanogen roms, I have used many different roms since and recently went from superD1.93 to 1.10.2 and market problem was fine, I switched back to 1.93 and issue started again.
when I click to update app or download new app it lags just before it downloads, about 10-15 seconds then once download is complete it pops up in status bar as installed but is still showing as installing on market app.
I do a full wipe before each ROM flash clearing out my ext partition as well, I dont think it is a ROM issue as I have used flashed various other roms the problem is still there...currently on HTC clays fasttest 3.1.
I have tried clearing market cache and data with out any luck.

N1 crashes durin any app installation

Hey guys,
I have a serious problem.
I used to have CM6 stable until I noticed some heavy download traffic of about 4mb on any startup/reboot and someone told me it might be caused by some kind of OTA update, and that I should use the current nightly.
After flashing the nightly my phone crashes every time I want to install an app from the market. The download works fine and when it comes to "installation" is reboots.
I tried everything
flashing the CM6 stable
flashing the google apps
wiping partition cache
wiping davlink ache
deleting market data
full wipe/factory reset
nothing works, so basicly what I have now is an oversized state of the art nokia 3210... Can someone please help?

[Q] No booting after installing CM 7.2

Hello everyone,
I just tried to install the stable version of CM 7.2 (cyanogenmod) and I kind of have a little problem: after rooting the device as described by iProHackr in one of his videos on youtube (Unlock Root 2.4.2 did not work for me), I used the Clockworkmod Rom Manager, downloaded from there the stable version of CM 7.2 and started the installation. The Rom Manager asked me before, if I wish to do wipe the cache and dalvik cache, as well as backup the current os. I selected all options and then the installation started normally.
After some time, the phone rebooted (as part of the installation), but it's stuck at the LG boot logo. I can see the LEDs blinking, but nothing has happened for aprox. 2 hours. The phone does not boot.
What should I do next? Should I reboot in recovery mode and try to repeat the procedure? If yes, how do I boot into recovery mode?
Thanks in advance.
Problem solved. I don't know what the problem was, but I made the same steps one more time, wiped the data and cleared the cache, installed the cm 7.2 again and after a couple of minutes, the phone started successfully.

[Q] Issue with rebooting custom ROMs

One or two weeks ago I flashed PAC 4.3 (coming from 4.3 leak) and it worked without a single error. Then after I rebooted my phone it just get's stuck on the bootanimation and I have to take out the battery, get into CWM, wipe dalvik-cache and cache and then it would work, although that means that my phone generates the dalvik cache at each boot, which consumes a lot of battery and last about 3 minutes, which is really annoying. I thought it's a problem with PAC so I flashed the latest CM11 nightly and get the same thing . I'm quite experienced with flashing custom ROMs and Kernels, so please don't go full noob explanation on me .
Thanks in advance :good:
Update: After wiping data the phone reboots normally. Could it be an app causing it?

usually if phone stuck at boot animation, the main problem mostly cause by app data/cache, i my self encounter many same situation with other phone, samsung, htc, and after wiping cache and data, the problem gone..also, i notice if flash from stock to custom, or custom that based on stock then go to AOSP custom without wiping data, then most time phone will stuck at boot animation..but rarely i encounter stuck after wiping data (some folder wrongly placed in the zip file that cause the problem)

Phone freezes at Homescreen and goes into a reboot loop

Samsung Galaxy S i 9000 keeps rebooting after booting up to the homescreen. I don't know why this happened as this phone is in my brother's use, he says that it started happening right after he cleared the cache from Google Chorme. The phone is on 4.1 custom rom, TAJB something running Devil Kernel. What I have tried so far; *Rebooting phone without memory card. *Wiping Delvik cache *deleted Google Chrome files from the recovery file manager. Nothing has helped so far, I believe some data in the phone has corrupted which freezes the phone a couple seconds are booting up. Any help would be appreciated.

Usually wipe data, wipe cache and wipe dalvik is the way to try and fix those problems. But if you do a "wipe data", you will loose all user data/apps/sms, which you should backup beforehand (with titanium backup, sms backup and restore etc). But since the phone doesn't boot, you can't do that. So i recommend only wiping cache and dalvik flashing another rom on top of it. If you can't find the old rom, you should at least stay within jelly bean (cm10.2 for example).
