Hi,
I installed Cyanogenmod in my sister's samsung galaxy s device and there is a useful feature, backlight buttons (home, menu) turn on when the phone received message, email or an uncoming call.
This message is for devs. Is it possible to include this feature in Tweaks of Sense ROMs ?

sorry wrong thread.... if a mod sees this can you please Delete it... thanks
New galaxy note owner here, I noticed while sending a text in the stock messaging app it has "Me:" on every message I send. It also has the contact's name to each incoming message. Is there any way to take this off?

I would take a look in the settings, its been awhile but I don't recall seeing an option to do so.

[Q] [Never will be solved] alt messaging app (at&t messages) won't send MMS on cm10.1
Odd problem ONLY on CM10.1 based ROMs including this one. ...
"AT&T Messages" (the app) won't send or receive MMS...yet messaging app does just fine...
Not APN issue...works fine on TW JB ROMs....
anyone know a solution to this? I am ending up stucvk on TW because i have to use ATT Messages.
Of course I have done completely clean installs. I have tried jelly beer, asylum, and AOSPA...all same issue.
Anyone else having this type of issue with alternative messaging apps or att messages in particular?

OK so to confirm this weird issue... I flashed PA CM9. At&t messages works perfect. Then flashed AOSPA newest with identical APN and it doesn't work. Then flashed TW and it works...then flashed Asylum cm10.1 and it does not work
Can anyone help?

I did just give this up, because I couldnt live on TW anymore just for stupid AT&T messages app.
Switched to AT&T VVM, works fine on CM10.1.
Life goes on. Requesting thread closed.
Occasionally, when I send a picture message with text, the MMS shows as a blank square in my conversation history. The recipient get's both the picture and text in the MMS but I can't view it after I send it. This happening to anyone else?
This used to happen a lot on my N4. I noticed it happened less when I ran the stock messaging app. Are you running a replacement, like the CM quick reply .apk or something?
Nope. Stock unrooted.

I have had one MMS do this do me on my Moto X, and it happened countless times to me with my Galaxy Nexus. Not sure what the issue is.
I think I read somewhere that it happens when you are connected to wifi instead of using 3G/4G. I haven't confirmed this personally though and can't remember where I read it.
Finally got mine just a little bit ago, did a search on our in the General Sub-Forum for any threads on this so figured I would start it. Pretty stable so far for me.
Are you able to send and receive MMS? I still can't..

This is the 3rd update since support for SMS and MMS. I have yet to be able to send or receive MMS on neither of my devices

haven't had any issues yet, slower than using stock app but still goes through for ME. Takes around 4-5 minutes to round trip send myself one and receive it.

Same here. It's pretty slow.
A good way to get any of the MMS to send almost as fast as it does in stock messaging app is to attempt to send the MMS and you can immediately make a call or AirPlane Mode or Mobile Data toggle it and then hang up or disable AirPlane Mode or Enable Mobile Data and it'll send much quicker. The phone call method only when on 3G though, not LTE
How is the interaction with google voice? I frequently dont receive messages using GV integrated on sprint.
Hangouts took control of the voicemail on my phone after I enabled SMS. Instead of getting a voicemail notification I received a text saying I had a message.

It's ok. Full integration won't be until May 2014 though.

Were you able to figure out how to disable that sms voicemail? I'd rather use the visual voicemail that came with HTC One.
No, I had to undo sms with hangouts.

I was having the same problem. Download System Panel lite from the play store. Open GV then press back. Open System Panel and tap on GV in the list then tap exclude. This will stop the service from being flushed.
The problems i have with MMS is that it has to be on 3G to send. Otherwise (if i am on 4G or Wifi) it wont send.
I currently have a mod to enable MMS on wifi with the stock app, that also takes the compression off.
Also. It wont send SMS when roaming. I need to be on sprint.
Do you guys expreience this too? Or is it just all the mods i have affecting my phone?
Not Sure But..
Theres an Stock Messaging app in the play store that does SMS over Wifi.
Its basically the CM messaging app with some extra goodies.
Its called 8SMS
id supply a link but XDA isnt letting me post a link since im new. Sigh
Hangouts is terrible with mms/ group messaging
