WiFi & 3G Connections

Hi,
Is it possible to make my HTC diamond attempt to connect to the internet through my Home WiFi connection before it connects via 3G.
Basically I want WiFi to be default and only to use 3G whilst i'm roaming about.

If you turn your wifi on and set it up for your home network. then as long as the wifi is still on, it defaults to using that first. If your not at home just shut the wifi off
It's not perfect, but I haven't seen any other methods out there.

I have question about WiFi. Every time I turn off display (or turn off itself automaticaly), it disconnect from network but when I´m on ICQ then I cant recieve any message. Is possible to be connected permanently?

I recently downloaded the illico video app, but it only works when connected to the 3g network. I was wondering if there was a way to trick it into running over wifi instead?

You could uncheck the Data Enabled box, in Menu > Settings > Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks. That should turn off cellular data. Then turn on wifi and see if it works.

Thanks for the suggestion, but that won't work. The app requires that I be connected to the network to start.
That's why I wanted to know if there was a way to trick it, to avoid using up my data.

I want to check my plan, and I need to use 3g data (wap), when I'm using wifi can I use wifi and 3g like when sending mms, just to get in wap?

[Q]Wifi Problem when connect to a mobile hotspot

I usually connect my droid bionic to a sprint mobile hotspot(Tri-FI). However, my droid bionic that connect to the mobile hotspot will lose internet connectivity after 10-15 minutes. The Wifi logo will turn white. I need to restart the wifi the got internet connectivity. Other phones connect to that hotspot does not have the problem.
Anybody has ideas on what's going on?

I'm trying to use the hotspot with this android 6 phone, The clients connects but the internet connection isn't available.
I've played a little bit with apn settings (according to other threads) but nothing changed.
the device is not rooted.

Are you connected to mobile data when you turn on the hotspot? Does mobile data internet work for your hotspot device?
