Hi all,
I am having the same re-occuring issue with all pure android jb roms like paranoid android, carbon rom, and CM rom. After flashing the ROM the battery stops charging. After removing the battery and putting it back on the issue is still there and also each time im getting a different battery level reading. The strange thing is that when i flash a touchwiz based rom eg; ultimate JB the battery charges normally without any issues. Has anybody else experienced this issue? I would be very grateful if some could suggest a solution to this problem
Thanks,
Flash these ROMs cleanly with the wipes. I have used CM, Asylum, PAC, Supernexus and other ROMs which have varied bases and have not faced the problem. Clean install of the ROMs should work, and also try erasing the battery stats.
re flashed rom with all neccessary wipes

I re-flashed cm 9.1 stable, I carried out all necessary wipes, it is getting charge, but it only charged 10 percent in 1 and a half hours, also the charge drops really fast. I really love the UI of these sort of ROMS but always having the same issues . Might have to revert back to ultimate jb rom.
If you can help me please do, I so badly want an aosp rom.
Try the AOSP based paranoidandroid or supernexus ROM. How old is you battery?
I thing just flash stock jb via Odin..
Then flash ROM with cwm with all procedure..
This may fix or problem..
Be aure that phone charging on other ROM(ICS)

My battery is about a year old, I flashed supernexus yesterday and the issue with the charging was present. So I flashed back to ultimate JB ROM and the phone is charging fine, it also charges fine on rocket rom, so it seems as though the issue is only present when I flash aosp based ROMs
try other kernels

having the same issue with carbon rom. wipe everything reload rom and it is fine for awhile then the battery stops charging again. swap batteries and the still doesn't work. go back to a touchwiz and all is fine. i am using a galaxy s3. funny part about it is that when i plug in the charger, the battery icon (dotted circle with text) starts rotating like it is charging but go into status and it say that it is not and the battery drains fairly fast. faster than normal use. it would be nice to figure this one out as i really like the carbon rom.
I was also having inaccurate battery readings when I'm using CM 10.2. But since I switched to PAC-Rom battery readings are accurate now, and even lasts longer than stock rom. (based on my experience) So you might want to try PAC Rom if you somehow need a custom rom, or flash a touchwiz based rom to save your battery lifespan.

Hi, I have a Captivate running Jelly Bean 4.2.1 (Slim-4.2.1.Beta.1-OFFICIAL) on a Semaphore kernel. It works perfectly when it's plugged into a computer through USB. Otherwise, it reboots into recovery, every single time it goes into standby, even when it's on a charger. I've tried raising the CPU speed, uninstalling SetCPU, re flashing the ROM, and nothing helps.
Is this a hardware issue, app issues, or does it have to do with the ROM or kernel? I had CyanogenMod 10.0 with a devil kernel running on it previously, and it did the same thing.

Have made you many any changes/mods?
Also, did you try going back to stock KK4 and reflashing the rom you want to use?
If it's recurrent on 2 different Roms, then it's most likely something you restore or some mods. Hardware issue is possible if it does it on stock.

No, I haven't really made any changes. It wasn't doing it on stock a couple days ago, before I flashed the new ROMs. I installed an App (wakelock powermanager) that keeps the cpu running. That fixes the problem but it drains the battery way too fast.
I'm trying to figure out how would be the best way to go back to stock.
Thanks

The best way to go back to stock is the one I mentioned, Odin one click KK4 (in the dev section).
SHORT VERSION: is there any stable rom for the i9305 that can also run banking apps that look at if your rooted? Or just a stable rom for i9305!? Or even a stock rom that has no bloat-ware (for i9305 of course and in uk)?
LONG:
So I started out a journey looking for a good stable rom and of course cyanogen caught my eye but I unfortunately swapped to a 4g service and swapped my phone right before embarking on this journey to a i9305 - crap!
I thought wow great 4g and 2gig ram it'll be perfect with cyanogen 11 so I waited and no M build for i9305 all year long argh! So I gave up and tried a nightly cyanogen 11 and it was buggy as hell. So gave up on that after a few weeks and trying different updates moved to carbon - again only nightly available even more bugs maybe I was just unlucky in timing but on to cyanogen 10.1 I was going backwards now not the most fun but it still has a few bugs but is way more stable and I loved the speed and camera was great but still it feels a bit old and I still prefer stock . So I am thinking now I either give up n get stock or go on to yet another one but im not confident now ...thanks!
i also like stock ROM...until now didn't found one which will have wi-fi working with stock kernel...so i will give it a try to rXTREME.JB.4.3-V5.1.1 with a custom kernel and see how it works...

Hmm yes too many bugs in all the custom roms on this device wish I could try a cyanogen M build ...
if you want to install rXTREME you MUST make a full wipe....in instruction it says it is recommended....but in reality is a MUST...all kind of bugs...and freezes...just opened screen and tried to unlock it...light effect...instant freeze...had to reboot...
i also wanted a stable CM11....not with huge battery drain...and other force closes....
hi men ,
i used the slimKat rom on my gti9305 and it's the perfection for that
Try Pacman RC1 everything is working very very less Force closes though but I have flashed paranoid ROM gapps and Google play app is not connecting :/
Very less it works

I flashed this recently. Its working PERFECT :good: :good:
(bloatware can be turned off)
performance improved, minimum ram usage, longer battery life (comparing to 4.3 stock rom)
NO PROBLEMS

As far as I know, one has nothing to do with the other.
Did your light turn off?
The battery % is well documented issue now and is caused by Chainfire's new boot image. I think it is used in many kernels at the moment. If you are not getting a bootloop, you are getting the glitch in battery %.
Not aware of any fix right now other than using kernal that is baked in whatever ROM you use. Been watching for a fix myself as my battery life could be better. Running Chroma myself. But can't get any other kernal to go without the loops.
Flash the stock kernel for whatever your on and it should go away. From what I've read its something in latest aosp that conflicts with custom kernels. I Could be wrong but I do know if you flash stock kernel it will go away. [emoji12]

Hello guys, I've Mi 5 Prime and using latest MiuiPro rom.
There is no problem wirh battery life on normal usage. 5-6hours SoT if I use without standby.
But while phone is idle in the deep sleep battery drain is anormal. It drains 20-30% till morning..
I did calibrate battery few times not works..
So here is the battery consumption even in deep sleep mode.
?
It happened with me with Masik ROM. I flashed Masik almost thrice but the result is same. Then I started to use RR. Then again I flashed Masik. I found the problem is no more. Maybe it's wake lock problem.
So try flashing an AOSP/CM based rom first. Then flash MIUI Pro ROM. hope it'll work. Even wiping all from MIUI rom doesn't solve this issue. And before flashing Pro ROM make sure you've wiped all excluding internal storage.
And plz give the feedback about MIUI Pro rom. Thinking to use it.

Thanks for your suggestions, I will try this. I was update miui 9 via updater app maybe that was the problem. I'm gonna flash with miflash. MiuiPro is really awesome rom there is a lot customizations, face unlock(rock stable) performance and battery life is awesome
camera api2 enabled ?
I recently installed Resurrection Remix Custom rom for my mi a2. now it is draining battery more faster than stock rom. Even it is draining the battery when I'm not even using the phone. I don't even have turned on extra tweaks of the rom . I checked battery usage and I found that Google Play Services is draining very much battery. Now tell me how to fix this?(I searched internet about deleting battery stats and all but I m not sure). So tell me a good way to fix this issue and help me out please.

Had same problem on havoc, couldn't find the solution, so I'm on stock rom again.
Have you tried all versions of that ROM and other custom ROMs for mi a2? Have you tried hex kernel?
If you still think the battery life is unsatisfactory, you should try converting your phone to mi 6x and flash the custom ROMs and try hex for wayne. Currently im using havoc os and things have never been better for my phone. Don't worry, the conversion process is really easy and reverting back is always an option.

No it's the first time I'm flashing a custom rom on my phone. I'm actually so impressed with RR as it gives the naked stock look and the tweaks and no other rom gives such functionality and it's not heavy either . I'm don't know much about custom kernels so can you tell me about them? And is there any best kernel for mi a2 and how to flash it? Man I'm so confused hahaha. .. and is it true that discharging your battery fully and fully Charing again( charge cyles) fixes it and deleting battery stats also help?
