Has anyone noticed how accurate the data usage stats are?
I am with Orange(UK) and I have noticed my data usage is lower than what it states via the phone stats, according to the Orange app.

Hi all,
from few days I have this problem: under wifi my M7 (all stock, sense version, no root) consumes 2-3%/hour in standby, but under 3g increases to 12-13% (according to Gsam Battery Monitor Pro)
I really don't understand why: settings of previous battery drain problems (particular apps, mediaserver process, gnow, google location ecc) are ok and, however, why under wifi all is ok?
While I use the phone, usage drops to normal: the problem occurs only in standby, with screen locked.
I will root to analyze deeper wakelocks but is there something that I haven't checked?
For everyone having high battery drain on cell standby on 5,1, I think the issue isn't as bad as the Android battery stats show in settings. I have installed Gsam Battery Monitor and the stats that the app show, are way different then the stats that the battery settings show. The Gsam Battery stats look much more realistic.
I have the stats from a day and a half, but I didn't turn on cell data, unless I needed it, which gets rid of the cell standby bug on lollipop, so you don't see the high cell stanby issue. Today I will keep data and WiFi on and post tomorrow, just to show the high cell data battery usage on Android settings, compared to GSM Battery.
Notice the screen use is 20% different, the WiFi is 4% different, which is almost a third, even with data off to stop high cell stanby battery use, my radio uses a total of 9%, but GSM battery app, has a total of 3%, which is 2/3rd less. The only thing, that looks correct is app use in settings battery.
It will be interesting to see the difference on cell standby and phone idle, when I have WiFi and data on the whole time, which makes the cell stanby use like 50% in the battery settings stats for me normally. I will post when my phone gets low

These effects are not bugs in general. LP just has bad description of what Cell Stand-by is exactly. Same goes to wifi and other stuff.
It's also very bad idea in general to claim bugs, when you have so little info to rely on, let alone how accurate the tools you use are.
Unless you got direct access to actual measurement of a given component, everything goes in the realm of hugely distorted approximation.
In other words, you're wasting your time. But hey, it's your time after all!
Um this is a well known bug not claimed by me lol
Play store services says 30% in the Android settings and 1.2% in GSM today. The cell stanby us at 20% in Android and 10% in GSm
So in the screenshot above, the first long standby was on WiFi, and according to GSam it was draining 0.8%/h, but when on mobile data it drains around double that, at 1.9%/h. I get a full signal with 4G LTE and all when on data, so weak reception isnt an issue. What ways are there to reduce the consumption when on data?
Most of the time phone is in same location where network signal is 50%, but still idle battery drain is very high >10% overnight. Any suggestions to avoid high idle battery drain?
Also the graph attached is from 95% to 16% but the total sum of usage in battery -> show full device is 68%, where was other ~11% used?

I have the same problem ! Overall the X4 is one of the better phones I have used but the battery is the bummer in standby. Overnight drain is > 10%
Could anyone please suggest what to do? My device is stock unrooted. And, I want to keep it that way. At least for now.
Same issue
Had the Pixel 4 XL for just over a week but noticed some strange app battery usage readings. As you can see from the pictures, I only used Chrome for maybe 30 seconds today but it has the highest battery usage percentage. The detail view of the app shows 0 minutes of background activity and 0 active use minutes. I just set it to restrict background usage just now to see if it would make any difference (edit: % still climbing with restricting background usage and no usage from me). I have also had this type of high battery percentage reading occur with the twitter app and Instagram app on other days. Only used those other apps for a few minutes with no background battery usage time but they also ended up at the top of battery usage list. Anyone else having this happen?
factory reset through recovery and restrict app background usage under app settings, I have sooooo many apps with restricted data and background data usage and I get roughly 6 or 7 hours SOT.
yep. I am. And there was one app, bleacher report, that would even use tons of battery when I barely used it, even after I restricted it. That one I just had to uninstall.

just finished with a factory reset so hopefully that will fix it.
Here is today's battery usage for me, restricted apps, 90hz off, Motion sense on
I've only had this 4 XL for maybe a week now btw and I'm a pretty moderate user you can see lol
