Touch screen has gone crazy.... - XPERIA X8 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, i recently installed this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2212254 rom. After that i am experiencing touch problems like after opening dialer numbers are getting pressed on their own and its getting hard to unlock my X8. I tried several roms after that but still no luck. I searched different threads but no luck. Now i am on stock eclair, but still the problem is as it was before. Any suggestion will be welcome.

Is your bootloader unlocked? Try flashing some other kernel.
What digitizer is it?

There isn't any kind of moisture but i use screen guard...is that the problem??

If that hasn't caused any problems before, it shouldn't start now. What digitizer is it - cypress or synaptics?

cypress digitizer...now using nAa jb 05 kernel...but problem is same as before...

Oops. Dind't see the cypress bit before. Sorry! How long has this issue persisted? Can you try and check if it works normally without the screen guard?

[Q] Strange red message on top of screen

Hi,
Since yesterday I have a strange red message on top of my screen.
It goes away when I restart the phone but gets back every time I make a call. I find this very strange and have looked over the internet to see if someone else have this but haven't found anything.
I am attaching an image of it. As you can see it says T, S, P and ALL and some values.
Do you have any idea what this could be and how I get rid of it once and for all?
looks as if it is a kernel of modding related problem, tell us more about the ROM and Kernel you have flashed!

I would suggest to reflash your rom. try using stock rom from samfirmware / sammobile

[Q] wrongly flash custom rom of T for my sony V

Hello...
I flashed SONY T custom ""Rom][4.3][T][Ultimate BlackXT][v3.1]""" rom for my SONY V..
when I rebooted it didnt turn on then i flashed an official rom..
when i turn it on the color of screen changed and became white ...
touch is ok but the colors mixed....
CAN U HELP ME PLS.....
sry for bad ENG..
Install ONLY rom for V
Now you must install a new FTF via Flashtool.
Follow these instructions and download FTF here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2648320
Choose 9.1.A.1.140 (android 4.1.2), so you can root and install recovery again

Sorry, you're right, I didn't read well what you wrote.
Are you sure you did clean installation? I mean the wipe voices before flashing with Flashtool, were all selected?
There's a thread for that incident (inverted lcd) that happens when you flash incompatible kernel and tried to reboot. It has something to do with the display driver

Hey guys.
I have same problem with display colors like few of us after wrong flashing XT rom on my XV. (downloaded bad zip) Just question, that thread for XTX about inverted display - its just about inverted display upside down - it has nothing to do with wrong colors right?
Colors totally ruined

Thats question or statement? So nothing can be done to repair display on my V?
This happens when you flash wrong kernel, the display drivers is ruined so the effect is inverted colors, there's a thread how to fix it but it's for Xperia Z1.

[Q] issues with sensors

I am on stock .157 not rooted. have no issues on the phone, but after maybe 2-3 days of usage, sensors wouldn't work (accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity). the screen wont turn off during calls , auto rotation wont work. Also in service tests, (*#*#service#*#*) all the values would be blank.
A restart will always fix these but I am still worried if this is a software issue. Any one else facing this issue ?

Try reflashing your FTF and see if it gets fixed. But before doing this, take it to Sony before more disappointment if its under warranty.

Tried doing that, but it gets solved temporary. The sensors don't show after some time.
I have this exact problem not sure which ftf would be my original bought from carphone warehouse
Did you solve this issue???
Did Any one found the solution for the problem yet??
I think I found a solution ... @ebro52
This problem only occurs when I leave the auto rotate off.
For the past few days I have kept the auto rotate on and didn't encounter any issue. After I disabled auto rotate, about 6 hrs later , all sensors stopped working.....
Still the issue is not solved??
I still have the problem. Tried keeping auto rotate on as well. So now moving to a custom rom mostly cm12 or based on it. Wil let you'll know if problem persist.
Ive had the problem on all roms have to reboot to get them working again and all sensors stop at the same time
Is there anyway to get a log and see what stops working and when?
My sensors do not work on reboot as well. They stop and start on there on. I am using sony stock right now. I will root the phone and see if I can have a log. Mean while has any one found a issue Please post.

i tried many things: force shut down proximity sensor, changing rom(rooted, unrooted,cm,stock, different kernels),disabling xposed, and so on.
none software ways help!
seems no solution and a hardware failure

Slimkat didn't fix my problem at all. Seems the reason of the problem is different for us. Btw is there any app that can reset or recalibrate the sensors?! Is this theory right that the lcd I replaced is none original and caused this problem and replacing an original one will solve the problem?!
Does anyone know where the sensor's are located the only one I've found is on headphone jack
